Fragrant Design

Fragrant design was so wonderful to work with for my wedding on May 21st. Everything turned out even more wonderful than I could ever imagined. My first consultation was so professional and when I received the original proposal I was already excited. It included so many pictures and almost an "idea board" of how the arrangements could appear. It was so well done and even though I have a lack of floral knowledge, I knew these ladies would do a great job as they were very in tune with the theme that I wanted. I was going for a very romantic tuscan garden feel. My experience from the very beginning was amazing and as I went to other consultations, I kept coming back to Fragrant Design. It was a little out of my price range but Nadine worked with me and helped me get to a place where I felt comfortable and happy with all that we had.

A few months before the wedding I was able to see a trial of the tall centerpiece and some of the candle pieces. I fell in LOVE. It was absolutely gorgeous and it was the perfect thing to calm my nerves and get me even more excited for the big day. Nadine was constantly working with me and when I made some last minute changes she was so flexible and understanding. I couldn't have asked for a better experience.

The day of the wedding when we walked in the room, it was just fantastic. Every detail was perfect and the flowers set the whole scene. The day started with seeing my BEAUTIFUL bouquet. It was so full and the color palette was perfect for the garden feel I had wanted. My girls had beautiful white peonies that contrasted with their pink dresses so well. The only disappointment we had was the small white elastic headband with two small flowers on it for the baby flower girl, but the flower girl who was walking down the aisle had the most gorgeous flower halo! It was so wonderful that my sister was a little disappointed with her daughter's. I could have been more clear with Nadine about my vision for her as the contract mentioned just a touch of floral but I expected maybe a little more floral. This was not a big deal as ALL the other flowers looked perfect.

The venue flowers were everything. They were so fancy and I got the most wonderful compliments about them. We had other centerpieces with candles and greenery. It made the tables look so romantic and exactly what I had envisioned. One other thing I forgot to ask about was a toss bouquet. I guess I never mentioned this in my original consultation because when it came time for the bouquet toss, I had to toss my beautiful and heavy bouquet as there was no other bouquet in sight. I don't know why I had forgotten about this detail. So just make sure to mention this if you need one!

All in all, Fragrant design was an absolute perfect choice and I loved the work that they did. I cannot wait to look back on how gorgeous they looked for years to come. My floral dreams were definitely met! Thank you Nadine for all your extraordinary work! She was definitely a pleasure to work with and I will recommend Fragrant Design to all my friends!!

We used Fragrant Design for our wedding florals and reception decor. We were referred to FD by our catering director after we had a horrible experience meeting with another florist/decor vendor. We came in with some ideas about what we wanted but really had no experience or knowledge when it came to floral and design. We met with Amanda and felt like we were in very good hands from day one. I showed her our inspiration photos and told her the theme we wanted, which was a modern rustic with whimsical and romantic feel. She knew exactly what type of look we were going for. We went with lots of candle light to fit the industrial loft space, along with tall branch centerpieces. Amanda wanted to soften the look of the reception with succulents and greenery, which turned out being exactly what the space needed. We proposed doing some sort of halo of branches over the dance floor with candles hanging, and she jumped at the idea, envisioning twisted branches with hanging globes and greenery mixed in.

For florals, I had a picture that I had found which was exactly what I wanted. I had seen bridal bouquets in the past that were over sized and obnoxious, which was not me at all. Amanda was able to explain what flower was what, give advice on what is in season and assured me they stick to my design and not go overboard. For bridesmaids bouquets, we used my bouquet as inspiration, but made them very unique with twisting willow and fun pops of scabiosa pods. It was very important that the bouquets fit the modern whimsical look we were wanting.

Fragrant Design's execution day of, was flawless. Our bouquets and boutonnieres were delivered the morning of, and turned out absolutely stunning. Amanda personally handed me my bouquet as I was getting my make-up done, and I nearly broke down. The bouquet was exactly what I had wanted, filled with beautiful peonies and cafe au lait and lilac. It was so unique from all other bridal bouquet I had seen in the past. The personal touch of Amanda handing me the bouquet was amazing. It just shows how much FD cares about their clients and making sure the day is perfect.

The reception hall was just as amazing as the florals. We nearly fell over when we walked into the reception hall for the first time. The room was absolutely amazing and exactly what we wanted. The halo hanging above the dance floor was the show stopper, and all of our guest commented on how beautiful it was. The branch centerpieces were perfect and the abundance of candles complimented the entire look.

Amanda and the Fragrant Design team are professionals, and know what they are doing. I never worried for a second working with them that they wouldn't be able to execute and do an amazing job. Amanda continuously put us at ease reassuring us every step of the way that they are professionals and take pride in what they do. I cannot recommend FD enough. If you want an upscale and professional look, Fragrant Design is the florist for you.

I was looking for a florist to create pieces for my July 10 wedding. I received proposals from three companies. One florist and I just didn't seem to have a good connection, one was a bit over budget... luckily, the third company was Fragrant Design. I met with Nadine, the owner, in her west loop loft studio. I reviewed photos of her work and told her what we had in mind. Perhaps most importantly, I just really liked her. Sometimes you just trust that someone will do a good job, and I really got that feeing with Nadine.

Nadine is also super nice- I had a million questions that I sent her via email. I also changed my mind a few times, and wanted the cost reduced once. She promptly responded to each email professionally. She even agreed to a second in-person meeting so my mom (who was having nightmares about wedding disasters and needed some major calming) could feel comfortable with her.

Of all the vendors we hired for the wedding, Nadine most exceeded my expectations. I knew she'd do a good job since I'd seen photos of her work, but the floral designs she came up with were beyond my wildest dreams. Wedding guests loved them too. And she is so nice to work with! And I love that she's a small business owner and I got to deal with her- not some 'front desk clerk'. I would hire Fragrant Design again in a minute.

From the moment we met Iris we knew she was our wedding florist. She captured my daughter's vision and presented beautiful florals and lighting for the wedding. I would highly recommend her for your events.

I'm so glad that I chose Nadine and her team for my May 2012 wedding. I was getting frustrated in my search for a florist--there were plenty of florists who had huge minimums, florists who didn't return phone calls or e-mail inquiries and florists with ugly website portfolios--until I found Fragrant Design.

Nadine was prompt in communication (even when I wasn't). I met her at her West Loop studio after work. She was very professional yet casual and easy to work with. She was patient with my lack of ideas and knowledge. Most importantly, she was able to design a fantastic proposal based on my general terms (modern, neutral and earthy) and my budget.

Nadine was very accommodating with the small changes I requested between the final design (our second meeting with the samples) and the wedding date. On the day of the wedding, the bouquets and pin-on flowers were delivered right on time. The flowers were fresh and perfect. Her team set up the ceremony space and then set up the reception space (in the same ballroom). Nadine knew the venue and created a design that complemented the space perfectly.

I highly recommend.

Nadine and her team did the flowers for our May 2013 wedding. She was very easy to communicate with and was very consistent in responding to my emails... even when I had finals and didn't respond for several days. We went back and forth several times figuring out ways to reduce costs without compromising the look I wanted... and everything turned out GREAT. I was fairly picky about what I wanted and had several pinterest pictures that Nadine was able to work with very well and she never once got frustrated with me! She also had her own suggestions, but was never overpowering and understood exactly what I wanted.
Even my husband has said it was beautiful and he knows nothing about wedding flowers! She did a beautiful job and I couldn't be happier with the flowers. They were GORGEOUS!!!

I could not have been more pleased with this company. I went to a few meetings with florists for my wedding and as soon as I met with Tori at the company, I knew I was in good hands. Tori and Nadine worked within my budget, never trying to get me to raise it, and they created the exact vision I had imagined for my wedding, making everything incredibly easy by delivering all "personal" flowers to my apartment and everything else to the venue. I was so pleasantly surprised getting to the venue and seeing everything set up, it was more gorgeous than I imagined. Nadine and her team are fabulous and I can't recommend them enough.

Working with Nadine was a true joy and she truly brought our vision to life and exceeded our expectations.

We began working with Fragrant Design in late 2016 for our May 2017 wedding, and we were instantly impressed and they absolutely delivered. Nadine and her team were wonderful about taking our ideas and molding them into a beautiful combination of Elegance, Warmth, and Class for our big day. At our reception hall, the placecard table, head table, and all guest tables had the perfect combination and touch of flowers, centerpieces, and candles. It was truly a wonderful sight to see, and we cannot thank the Fragrant Design team enough for their help in working with us on all of it - including my beautiful bridal bouquet and bridesmaids' bouquets.
