Wow...these donuts were so unique and unlike any other donuts i've had. They were small and the dough was was similar to a Zeppole. The outside was super crispy and the inside was moist. What makes the Fractured Prune unique is that they make each donut to order and they are served WARM. Because of this, you may need to wait a while for your order. I loved most of the donuts, but the OC Sand was particularly delicious and simple. The only one I wasn't a fan of was the chocolate covered cherry. It tasted like cough medicine. Also want to give an honorable mention to the Sausage egg and cheese croissant. It was damn good!

I eat a lot of donuts ok. Wherever I am in the world I will look for them and I will eat them like it is my job. The donuts from fractured prune KILLED me. They were so good I had to go back for seconds the next day.
They're made fresh to order so they're served warm. There are dozens of flavors to choose from and you can even create your own if you're brave and confident enough. Come equipped with baby wipes because they're very messy and there's no bathroom.
Oh and unlimited coffee refills too!!!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Monica C.New Brunswick, NJ2692154Apr 13, 2018
Overall review:
I went to this location one time will visiting a friend. I was not to crazy about this place. I have been to much better donut places in the NJ area. There was nothing wrong with the food, but there just were not many topping options.
Atmosphere:
Small shop, but there is room to sit and eat.
Food:
The donuts were okay, but there could of been better topping selections.
Final Thoughts:
Ask the owner on how they got their name, rather interesting story.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Mae F.Harrisburg, PA167361754Mar 18, 2017
I've been coming here for about five years, but I only recently found my perfect cake donut combination. I used to order their best seller/fan favorite, OC Sand. About a year ago, I ventured out and ordered the Lemon Bar donut (lemon glaze with granulated sugar), well I figured if you want a really lemon bar why not substitute powdered sugar for granulated! It was magic in mouth! So good! These donuts are best eaten while hot!
I know a lot of these create-your-own cake donut shops have recently started popping up around the country, but Fractured Prune Donuts definitely can hold their own.
I don't crave their donuts all the time; but when I do, I know they'll deliver on taste!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Carey M.New York, NY387413Jun 14, 2017
As an OC local, it's nice to have a taste of the beach when at home in Towson. And it's nice to still have a nearby location for quality FP donuts despite the Towson location closure last year.
Obviously, FP donuts are to die for and the perfect special treat. My favorites include the Black Forest and OC Sand, but you really can't go wrong with anything on the menu. The coffee is great too.
My only gripe with the Towson shop (when it was still open) and the Parkville location is the ambience. I know that most people are taking donuts and leaving, but it would be nice to have a little more character in the shops so that it is pleasant for sitting and chatting over a morning donut. The nice thing about the Parkville location is a picnic table outside overlooking Harford road! Nice to sit at during the cooler mornings of summer.
BUT this shouldn't be a deal breaker! The donuts are still amazing and you should definitely come here.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Teri B.Baltimore, MD367168Jul 24, 2020
Hi folks, this business has been closed for a while now. It's a shame, we enjoyed our visits and donuts from there.

My First time here was great! Helpful staff, hot, fresh donuts, endless options! Morning Buzz (add coconut) & OC Sand are my favorite! Also ordered a fruit smoothie, it was on point!
My second time here the donuts were small & oval shaped, the cereal toppings tasted stale & the bagel to my breakfast sandwich was overcooked & had rubber like texture. I was disappointed!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Amanda C.Dundalk, MD583937Jun 21, 2017
This donut shop is literally a hole-in-the-wall kind of place. The donuts are VERY hot (burn-your-fingers hot) and freshly topped while you wait, but you will have a wait time of up to three minutes unless there is a line. The donut listings are widely varied, so there will be something for everybody. Unfortunately the donuts themselves are the exact same, no variance other than how you choose to top yours. Plus there are no make-ahead donuts to pick from if you're in a hurry, which is something that might help the business. And donut holes would sell well if they added them to their menu. These donuts are very fairly priced and taste WAY better than Diablo Donuts in downtown Baltimore, but that is just my own opinion from equal visits being given to both.
Mocha: blegh.
Ms Prunella: tasty but most of the topping rolled right off as the donut was so hot.
Rolo: (name? caramel and chocolate topped donut) Could be renamed Chocolate as the chocolate overpowered any other flavor.
Orangesicle: you'll come back for seconds and thirds. My husband didn't have a chance to try this one, but he was scraping the box to eat the topping. Very delicious.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0
