Honestly what is not to love?
This started off as a smallish Farmers Market but it has now grown to be a VERY good one. It is open every Sunday of the year 8-3 but don't get there at 3 and expect to get much.
My favorites are Garden of Eve (organic produce from Riverhead), Goodale Farms (Dairy and Produce from Suffolk), American Seafood (fresh caught off of Long Island), B & Y Farms (All sorts of Organic meats) and Ronnybrook Dairy.
Goodale Farms - Must try the Feta and Mozzarella.
American Seafood - Everything is fresh and there is a big taste difference between what you get here and at a fish store. We get the scallops almost religiously at this point.
B & Y Farms - Not cheap but well worth it. The meats are all super fresh. We love their Red Meat and Sausage but they have a large variety.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 421353739Dec 29, 2020Updated review
Stopped by the Bread Alone stand last Sunday. So glad to hear that this stand is going to be here every Sunday year round! My bf got the seasonal muffin today, which is something I've never tried so I wanted to hop on and write another small review.
The seasonal muffin (Dec 2020) was a lemon muffin. We heated it up in the toaster before trying it and the warm interior along with zesty flavor and other christmassy spices warmed my mouth. It reminded me a lot of a muffin version of the Starbucks lemon pound cake -- so fluffy and fresh. This muffin is definitely a lot less sweet than some of their other pastries, so I'd highly recommend it to those who have less of a sweet tooth!Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0Dec 19, 2020Previous reviewCute farmers market that pops up every Sunday. Only been there twice, both during COVID, but there seems to be a nice array of meats, fresh vegetables, BREAD and MILK
Haven't tried any of the meats, but I can review a lot of the other stands. From the vegetable stand, there is a selection of broccolis, cauliflower and what looked to me like a mix of the two. I chose to get broccoli bc it's easy to cook and it looked very fresh. Each broccoli head was HUGE and there was no discoloration (unlike those I find at the grocery store).
My sister loves the milk truck -- and it seems like everyone else does too, seeing the loooong line. We got the chocolate milk and some strawberry yogurt and were extremely lucky to snag the last chocolate milk (even though it was only 10-11am-ish!!). The milk is so fresh and thick -- would highly recommend!
The bread stall is my personal favourite. They have a wide array of fresh bread and pastries. If you have a sweet tooth like me, I would recommend the pecan sticky bun. Each layer of this bun is flakey and fluffy with an amazing sticky/ sugary sauce(??) between them to tie the entire pastry together. The pecan adds a nice crunchy contrast (tho I personally find it a little unnecessary). I highly recommend heating up the pastry before you eat it so the sugary layer tying the pastry together melts and becomes a gooey layer to your dish. Insanely good!! - 398071929Oct 24, 2021
This is a farmer's market on the Queens Blvd side of the park. Open Sundays.
There were about 30 stands. Food, clothing, masks, jewelry, etc. Might be fun to browse. I saw a spice stall that looked interesting. There wasn't much fresh produce though.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Natasha N.Rego Park, NY611621349Jul 24, 2022Updated review
Farmers market there on Sunday morning. If you want to get good milk make sure you get there early they run out of it really fast. Always plenty of fresh organic produce, bread, eggs, meat, cheese, honey and freshest seafood you can find

They had speedy service along with decent customer service the only dilemma that is to be found here is that their service is too fast that when it comes time to charge you they usually overcharge you by a fair amount but other than that this is a good bakery with delicious confections and freshly baked bread, just make sure you keep track of your own total and what you are paying for.

It's such a pleasure having a farmers market so close to home. I've often wanted to get some fresh veggies but often worried about commuting home from Union Square with bags of heavy fruit and vegetables so this is great for those who live in Forest Hills, Kew Gardens, and Rego Park.
The market is open once a week.
You can get fresh veggies (kale, carrots, tomatoes, onions, peppers), eggs, fresh bread, seafood, fruit, and meats. The market is bit small compared to those in Manhattan and Brooklyn but it's perfect for grabbing the essentials for a weeks worth of food. I left with a giant bundle of kale ($2/bunch), some wonderful peaches (mango peaches), warm whole wheat bread ($5) corn (2 stalks for $1) and tomatoes.
If you live in the area stop by before winter and get some pesticide free veggies.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Jan 29, 2020
A little bit of everything exists at this green market.
This green market is not one of the larger ones, there generally isn't more than one vendor of any given speciality, butthere is a little bit of everything here. Fresh dairy, vegetables, cheeses, organic meat, fresh turkey, seafood, and bread are some of the standard fare available at this market.
The shopping can be kinda tough during peak times, with long lines and tight shopping lanes but if you get here early you'll have a far better shopping experience and more choices.
There isn't much parking nearby as free Sunday parking rules pretty much make finding a spot tough close by.Helpful 7Thanks 0Love this 8Oh no 0 - A S.New York, NY06253Oct 24, 2021
Wow.. all fresh farm grown vegetables, puts supermarkets to shame. The best. So fresh, bright colored veggies & fruit. Prices went up since last year, but hey what hasn't. This october 2021 numerous vendors are selling items such as eggs, bread beef even fresh fish, candles, hand rolled cigars, spices, clothing, scissors, handbags, flowers. You name it....t's probably here. If your hungry, food trucks are here too. Definitely a great way to spend a Sunday. People are so nice & friendly. Sitting area near by in case you want to try that candy apple or shiskabab. Dont forget to stop & see the balloon man who makes swords, animals, hats.& so much more. So enjoyable.

I have been coming here for the last few years on and off. Tons of fresh produce. It can be a little pricey, but you do get what you pay for.
I wish there was a little bit more space to walk around, however. With the tents on the sidewalk, there is little room to walk without bumping into others.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Tanya M.BAYSIDE HILLS, NY12166232Sep 15, 2019
Love this farmer's market! Beautiful selection of fresh fruits and veggies. Also the bread stand is mouth watering. You must try their Lemon Currant Scone. The market has vendors with fresh fish, meats, cheeses and pickles! Just got some delicious jalapeño garlic pickles today. And raw honey. The only thing missing is someone who sells maple syrup and jams!
Really great market, great selection and great people.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Marie B.Forest Hills, New York, NY07Oct 3, 2021
