Flippin Flavors

I became aware of this place because of the ChicagoFoodtogo television show. I went there and have to say the food was as fresh as the service. The sandwich I chose was delicious, all the ingredients were top notch. It is not the best for ambience but a grab and go situation is optimal.

It's definitely a spot to revisit!

This is the place to grab a bite when you're on this side of town. If you live in the area you need to become a regular fast. The owners (the Flippins) are some of the nicest people I've ever met in my life. I only stopped in because a friend shared their business on FB. The super steak was really good and satisfying. It costs a pretty penny but the bread was soft, meat flavored well, and I could probably have had more mushrooms and bell peppers but I'll make that request next time I visit.

The strawberry salad was also very flavorful and I'm excited to have the Caesar later today. I have to get a few items because I don't live close by. The food was satisfying which is important because too many places overload plates and that's the problem with morbid obesity in this country anyway. It's just enough and I'm grateful for it. Oh and the food looks just like the pictures!!

My food was ready fast; it felt like 5 min. It's not a dine in location more like a grab and go. My 2 year old daughter was safe in this environment while mommy handled business and grandma decided she wanted a steak and a salad also. I'll be back for sure!

I can't believe I haven't done a review for Flippin Flavors yet!

First - the food is fresh. The cheesesteaks are amazing, whether you get the chicken or the original. They heat up perfectly in the oven or air fryer if you get a second to take home for later (hint hint). The salads are incredible - I have never had a bad piece of lettuce or a soggy strawberry. The hoagies are delicious - and if you're like me and get a cheesesteak for lunch, you can bring a hoagy home for dinner - if you ask for the oil on the side you can add it when you're ready to eat.

Second - the restaurant is CLEAN. Have you ever been in a restaurant in Chicago and tried hard to not peak in the kitchen because you know the food is delicious but you know that kitchen will make your stomach roll? Not here. The owners make the kitchen as open as possible and it's still as clean as the day they opened the restaurant. Honestly that alone makes me want to eat every meal here because I never worry about something working its way into my food.

And lastly - the owners are incredible people. Linda and Brian (I say as if we are BFF) make everyone feel like somebody. You walk in the door and they address you right away, and are so kind. They also make food for those less fortunate, and are always looking for ways to give back. They truly take pride in their restaurant and product. I feel a lot better giving my money to nice people, you know?

To that point, they are always looking for ways to help other small businesses in the community, as they know we all rise by helping others. I've learned of some amazing bakeries and teas just because of their recommendations.

One huge plus is that if you order ahead they can bring your food to your car when it's ready. It's been a lifesaver with small kids.

Oh, and on the topic of money - this place is cash free so bring that plastic!

If you haven't tried Flippin Flavors, you need to make a stop. You will be back.

I really like this spot. I have ordered the turkey, Chicken Philly, jerk chicken salad and my mom got the salad with strawberry and nuts. All very very tasty. Highly recommend!

My husband and I love the Steak and Cheese Supreme sandwich! They are so good. The owners are husband and wife are wonderful. They are the perfect team. You can tell how they love the business and their customers by the way they and their employees treat each and every customer. The place is always clean. We love it.

Had the Berry Explosion Salad and the Super Chicken Philly. Both were prepared fresh and worth the wait. My husband who normally just likes a plain salad with iceberg lettuce, ate half of mine and said that he would go back just to get the salad. We'll be back!

What the flip is this? Are you flipping crazy?

Crazy about these sandwitches. You mother flipping me? Try out some of they flavors if you give a flip. "Flip on this", they said, he whipped out his flipper and started flipping them flay-Vors. You feel. This dude be flippin in his sleep.

The food, service and ambience are all stellar! I've never seen anybody make a sandwich taste so good

Upon entering it is very welcoming. They offer a variety of options to choose from. I had the Flipping Jerk Salad and it was delicious. Every bite was as good as the first. My best friend had the Flippin Super Philly Steak Sandwich and she enjoyed every bite as well! Can't forget the Fresh Lemonade also amazing not too sweet just right. If you're ever in Chicago this is somewhere you need to try.

The salads and sandwiches are the best on the Southwest side of Chicago. Everything is made to order. The salads contain fresh veggies that actually taste like veggies. On my very first visit, I was greeted and welcomed like a frequent customer. The restaurant atmosphere is like that of small town. Customers speak and greet each other even if they don't know you.
