First Watch

So, I am embarrassed to say that despite our love of dining out this was our first time to First Watch. It has only been there ten years!  Expecting a low key modest cafe, we were pleasantly surprised at an upscale cleanliness and modern decor with friendly staff and moreover absolutely delicious and healthy Meals made with the freshest of ingredients. Nothing - nothing- was overdone.  I ordered an Italian skillet and there was just the right amount of potatoes, well prepared, and just the right amount of cheese and sun dried tomatoes.  It was delightful. My husband had the trailblazer and had a similar experience.
We will be back- We have ten years to make up.

First time at First Watch and I'm excited to go back.

I tried the pick 2 lunch - got a half sandwich and soup. The tomato soup was pretty spot on and the roast beef with horseradish was delish.

Very cute interior - very farm to table. The tables were pretty spaced out and it wasn't too busy at lunch.

Our server was friendly and attentive. You pay at the register at the front so it seems much more like a breakfast place. Can't wait to go back and try something new!

First time being to First Watch and it was pretty good. We got in at the right time because a few minutes later the place filled up.  Living in Denver people still wear masks to walk into the restaurants and wait staff still wears them as well was almost a culture shock not to see a mask insight.  It seemed like a breath of normal returning.
The omelette was light and fluffy with a nice amount of chorizo in it.  The potatoes were slightly greasy , but we're still good.
The chopped salad is a perfect meal for a warm summer day.  It was light and fresh and the dressing had a nice flavor with just a little heat.

Been here multiple time. Food and drinks are always delicious. Price is a tad high. Would recommend and have returned a few times.

Stopped in for brunch, or is it just breakfast if it's at 8:30am and we didn't have bloody Mary's? We did have some decent coffee. Anyhow, I was trying to play it safe by going earlier.

They are following social distancing, and staff was masked. You had to wear masks to your table but could remove it while seated. Also single serve creamers, salt and pepper.

I had the BLT eggs Benedict and my friend had the ham and cheese omelette...gruyere I think. We also ordered the million dollar bacon, which was only $5. The bacon was fantastic! Thick cut and just crisp. Sweet, salty, and a hint of heat. Our food was delicious!  

I will definitely be back. Healthy'ish food options, at very reasonable prices, and good service.

If I could give negative stars I would. The entire experience was horrible. 01/30/2022 I decided I wanted some brunch from a place I enjoyed to go to when I lived in Texas. I chose to order online from the Mequon location. When I arrive to pick up my order, I noticed my drinks were missing. Morning meditation, kale tonic and purple haze. When I asked about them the guy told me they sold out of the drinks. Ok that's cool but you don't think you could've called to tell me before I drove all the way to your establishment? The drinks were my main reason for me ordering from them in the first place. Whatever just give me iced coffee! Fast forward to when I get home. I'm eating "the works omelet" and as I'm chewing something felt weird In my mouth. As I pull it out I realized it's a piece of blonde hair!!!  I couldn't even finish my food. It was so good but this makes me never want to eat here again! First Watch in San Antonio would NEVER! I wish I could've gone back to get a refund but they were closed. Count y'all days Mequon!

Represented as an almost modern, farm-to-table take on an old-school diner, First Watch was a great breakfast find. They had a very diverse and unique menu of items, but I chose to go with the Pork Carnitas Burrito. It was a "can't miss." There was a great balance of flavor, some excellent hints of sweet hidden beneath it all, and a very fair value.

Definitely worth a visit for breakfast, and I would recommend the Burrito!

We got takeout breakfast and I was surprised by how well it traveled back to the house. The omlette, for example, that my husband had (bacado) was fluffy and the devoured it. My in-laws similarly enjoyed the chicken pesto quinoa and the multi-grain pancakes. I ordered the granola and yogurt with a side of turkey sausage.

The yogurt comes with a sweet muffin, which I don't think is made clear when ordering, though it is pictured in the menu. I don't know if this is on the restaurant or on me since I've had this surprise at a other places, but the Greek yogurt was overly sweet. The fruit mixed in was fresh, but a ohoned-in medly in my opinion- melon in a sweet yogurt takes on a bitter, striking flavor that wasn't entirely pleasant. The grapes, pineapple, and granola were all very good though.

So uh... we got our toast...
But the fruit is another story.

Calling the hour of close is definitely not recommended.

This place is AMAZING for healthy eaters!

They have fresh sqeezed juice tonics (1 w/kale, 1/mango etc...)  lots and lots of healthy BUT MASSIVELY YUMMY choices!!

Staff is SUPER friendly and ready and willing to answer any questions.

Just give it ONE try. I DOUBLE DOG DARE YA!
