Since visiting in the spring of 2012 until now, my family and I have felt nothing but love from the ministers and others in the congregation. We weren't even members when I fell of a ladder in May of 2012 and the congregation and Sr. Pastor @ the time immediately took us in as our own and supported us financially and with meals, gas cards for my wife and children with me being out of work. I can't speak to what happened in 2010 but I would recommend anyone come and allow yourself to be loved where ever you might be in your walk.

When we moved to Creedmoor, we tried several local churches and it seemed like our experiences were going to be limited to Baptist Churches. I told my bride not to fret, I'd grown up in a Baptist church so it couldn't be that bad and this church was touted to having one of the best pre-school programs in the area - so much so they could get away with charging people just to get on a waiting list.

Typically I'll give a place a handful of visits before making a final decision on whether or not it's going to be my home church. Not this time. Our experience at this particular church is/was very limited - with maybe two or three exceptions this is one of those churches where the congregation were so unfriendly and so seemed to have their noses in the air and so did not seem genuine that we could not, in good conscience, go back. I had to ask myself if the congregation was really having that bad of a day. It would literally take the Lord picking me up off the ground against my will and shoving me through the door and holding me down in the pew for me to attend here on any given Sunday. The unfriendly atmosphere itself was such that I couldn't tell you what was preached from the pulpit. Lastly, if there was any diversity in the congregation, it went unnoticed.

I grew up in the north where the Baptist church was very different than it is here in the bible belt and I hope this particular congregation does not personify the entire Southern Baptist Convention. Please, it's just my honest opinion, so no need to send rioters with pitchforks to my house.
