Me and my fiancé came here as a walk in on a Tuesday and we were greeted by the host and bartender. We sat at the bar and had apps and sushi and the food was delicious, especially the hand rolls!! Jay was our bartender and he was so sweet and efficient.

If you are ever in Culver City and looking for great service, good and drinks, FIN Asian is the place to go! Ask for Jay and allow your night to take flight! Will definitely be a regular!

      I absolutely LOVE FIN!
I have driven past many times and just recently decided to check it out, and was so happy with the outcome. The place does fill up quickly but their happy hour from 5-6:33 is one of the best I have seen! The fish is so fresh, one of my favorite dishes is the spicy tuna crispy rice, the perfect balance of soft and crispy. My roomate loved the filet wrapped asparagus and always orders the gyoza!
Zach and Sean are awesome bartenders and Jeff was an awesome server!
To top it all off, Gio the manager is always so cool to see! He makes it feel like you are at home when you come in.
Call me crazy but they will see me here once a week from now on!

No. I would give it one star but the inside is cute and there's a speak easy in the back which is cool and softens the blow of the dining experience.

Interior: it's cute. It's a small space with cozy vibe.

Service: The service was quite slow, the host ended up taking pity and getting us drinks. There was only one server for the whole room.

Food: pretty bad. The sashimi salmon had truffle on it which is a pretty terrible combo. The filet wrapped asparagus was gross. The menu description had potential but there was just too much happening on that plate. Inedible. The spicy tuna crispy rice dish was ok, although the tuna was minced to the point of it being a paste.

I had an incredible dining experience at Fin Asian Tapas. The atmosphere was lovely, and the service was outstanding. The tapas were delicious and full of flavor, and the presentation was beautiful. I highly recommend trying the Spicy Tuna on Crispy Rice, The Truffle Salmon Sashimi, The Fin Roll with a side of 2 Japanese Margaritas. This restaurant definitely deserves 5 stars!"

      Such a sexy bar!

Fun spot for a weekend happy hour! My husband and I were stoked to discover this place as it's pretty close to our offices and we can pop over here on a weekday for a date night.

It's a bit pricey if you come during regular hours, but the happy hour deals are pretty good! We tried a few things: the chicken skewer, spicy tuna handrolls, yellowtail tempura, baked crab roll... Our fave items were the handrolls! The tempura was also really unique and tasty.

Service was amazing - our waiters checked up on us multiple times to make sure the food was good and came back to refill our waters! 10/10 on service - they were super attentive and made us feel so welcome!

My hubby is always on the hunt for new places we haven't been to and came up with FIN. if I were to best summarize this place, it would be that it's great food with OK ambiance. But there's something to be said about every restaurant in LA being held to crazy standards without serious financial backing when all that really matters is good food. And FIN has a lot of great dishes.

Our server raved about a good number of menu items and everything we picked that he had recommended was spot on. Food picks we think you should get - the jicama fish tacos, the red gyozas and the pumpkin tempura. Next time, we'd probably pass on the FIN roll and friend rice - only because those were filling and not really our style of sushi.

That said, it's a nice easy spot with yummy eats.

Best salmon in LA I've had in ten years living out here. Gosh, so good! I'd really like to know the secret. The ginger edamame is also special. Crave worthy.
Also- must try- the sexy speakeasy Alley Lounge in the back. Awesome! Giovanni makes a great cocktail. Chili Vanilli for the win- a kick on a spicy marg. Also- I'd love to have a team outing in the Alley Lounge, really cool.

I hat to give FIN three stars but i've tried them a couple of times and i'm pretty sure i would never go back, unless someone in my group wants to go here

i was unimpressed by the food, service, and pricing

for the first time i decided to try them for take out. i was told by a friend that although they are a small restaurant they're delicious. So, i thought why not. worst case scenario im taking the food home and not waiting to be seated or getting bumped by passer byers

i ordered the spicy tuna over rice, a roll (that i cant remember) and the asparagus..
again not impressed, food seemed to lack flavor

the second time i came to FIN i went with a neighbor who said she loves this place. We went around 6pm on a weekend and it wasnt super busy. we sat ourselves inside, and significant time passed before a waiter (we had 3 different ones serve us because one would tend to us then disappear)
provided us water and then take our order.

this time we split the avocado appetizer (do not recommend, it was a warm half avvo with crispy onions) then the tuna rice and then we split the salmon

again had the similar issue, food seemed to be lacking flavor and overall service wasnt enough to want me to come back and spend my money here
overall "meh" was my take both times.

Went here tonight (a Thursday night) for the DineLA specials. Love the 4 course menu :)

First course - sashimi - solid (4.5/5) tasty, fresh and nice light sauces

Second course - spicy tuna crispy rice - (3/5) not spicy at all, limited flavor, could use eel sauce / sriracha Mayo / jalapeño seeds (not just the little sliver of jalapeño they leave on there)

Third course - gyoza (5/5) by far my favorite! The red gyoza in particular had spice and flavor :) loved this!!!

Fourth course - vegetable fried rice & grilled salmon (3/5) - decent, not amazing, salmon had a cream sauce that did not seem Asian inspired even... and fried rice was decent but nothing special

Parking - some limited metered street parking

Service - super crowded for a Thursday, had to wait and while we waited, listened to altercation between waitress, busboy and hostess... not a great first impression while we waited for a reserved table... our server messed up our drink order at first but was apologetic. At the end, the hostess walked around to pass out chips to the neighboring bar (the alley lounge), but with the wrong information... she informed us that we would get $5 off a drink with this chip, incorrectly (as we found out when we got the check at the bar)

Was looking for a new place to try out; made reservations for dinner.

      FLAVOR (3/5):
      1. LOBSTER GLAZE BEEF DUMPLINGS: These were okay... the glaze was a weird consistency to me and had an interesting flavor I wasn't a fan of. Kind of sweet?
      2. GYOZA SPECIAL (forgot the name): These were better than the lobster glaze beef dumplings, but were wayyy too salty.
      3. TUNA JALAPENO CRISPY RICE: Okay as far as crispy rice was... Nothing special. Wouldn't order again.
      4. JICAMA FISH TACOS: The jicama was interesting, but the filling left more to be desired.
      5. FIN ROLL: Good, not amazing.
      6. SPICY ALBACORE FUSION: Good.
      7. CITRUS TRUFFLE SALMON SASHIMI: Good!

      SERVICE (3/5):
The service was just ok. We were tucked in the corner and very much felt forgotten about

      AMBIENCE (3.5/5):
Ambience was fine. Good for catching up with friends.

      PARKING (4/5):
There's street parking and residential parking around the block.

      TAKEAWAYS:
Taking into account price point, food, and service, I wouldn't say FIN is worth it. For all the food we got, my group of 4 didn't feel full by the end of the meal and we had reached $50 per person already. If you want good Japanese, go to Irori.
