I bought Ferma Acacia flooring and i received nothing that looks like 3 separate samples i have seen at distributors shops. instead of rich grain and color variations i received sloppily stained plywood looking flooring that looks nothing like sample color, grain or species! And i had to bring up legal consequences to get them respond and admit that wood they advertise on their website and distribute samples with various dealers is actually NOT the wood they sell you at the end!
But to cover themselves, the have same code for both, sample wood they show you and for fake wood they sell you, so you cannot prove them wrong on paper! and they are conveniently blind and deny visible difference!
And to add insult to injury, they had audacity to asked me to pay 30% for restocking fee!
This is simply old-fashioned switcheroo deception and be very careful buying any product form FERMA! You will not receive what you bought and you won't be able to prove them!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Jun 17, 2020Previous reviewi bought Ferma Acacia flooring and i received nothing that looks like 3 separate samples i have seen at distributors shops. instead of rich grain and color variations i received sloppily stained plywood looking flooring that looks nothing like sample color, grain or species! Hardwood floors are not durable, peel, and show they use laminate for color. They advise never washing, clipping dogs nails past the point where a licensed vet would report you to animal control and don't stand by their product.
You're getting fake color that won't last under reasonable wear and a sales rep full of excuses.
Avoid this company and let it go out of business.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Annette B.Westwood, NJ352Jan 2, 2018
I agree with Kaibo...This flooring company is terrible and will not take responsibility. I also has an exotic wood floor installed. The planks kept cracking upon installation and they had to glue it down. The floor is so soft that even if you drop a spoon it dents. I cannot keep up with it and at this point I can't even replace it because it is glued to the sub floor. I spent thousands and its horrible!

STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. My parents had Ferma Brazillian Cherry Wood Floor installed in their home last July. After about 3 to 4 month about 70-80 planks started to show splits and dimples, which makes the floor looks terrible. Contacted Ferma floor numerous times and they refuse to admit any fault of their own. If your floor is so delicate that it won't survive without a humidifier, then you should tell your customer before the installation. They never did. Many of my parent's neighbors living in the same community also have wood floors and none of them have the same issues, and they don't have humidifier in their home. Also the floor came in two batches, the first batch that was installed in the guest bedroom looks fine, it's the second batch that shows all kinds of problems. If the humidity level was the issue, then how comes the first batch is OK? Do yourself a favor and stay away from this company. Wood floor is a big investment and if you don't want your money wasted, stay away from Ferma Floor.
