This has got to be one of my favorite sex shops in the city !

Dont be shy to enter the store you will never regret it after you are in, the staff is funny and very helpful they will make you feel at home. They are willing to answer any questions you may have and their prices are amazing.

The shop itself is humongous, they have a wide variety of everything, from sexy outfits to whips and chains (gotta love it !).

It isn't like the pleasure chest next door, very different feeling, still amazing !

This place is huge but has a bit of a grungy feel. Might be the 80s and 90s used porn dvds that dominate the story.

Also, one of the workers yelled at me across the room "NO PICTURES!" when I wasn't taking pictures at all, I was just holding my cell phone in my hand. Rude.

Came here partly to find an outfit for a dance event and partly to start exploring what the city's sex shops had to offer lol. The layout isn't fancy and looks more sketch than the nearby Pleasure Chest and others in West Village, but the product they carry are diverse and more reasonably priced.

I am a fan of the staff! They happily let you try on the leather harnesses, chokers, etc that cover the wall behind the cash counter. And the sales lady was so helpful, but not pushy, in finding me various outfit options in the styles I was looking for. Not the biggest fan of the incense they were burning in the place though :/ The pineapple and raspberry sorbet flavored lubes are amazing!!! (They have a shelf for you to sample their products). Definitely come here to explore. You'll probably leave buying something! ;)

Pretty big store. It has a wide selection of sex toys, and other paraphernalia.  They also have adult videos for almost any taste and fetish.  

The staff are discreet and don't make comments on what you're buying so you don't have to be embarrassed.  Thankfully I have never had to ask for help because I usually don't come in here looking for anything specific.

My homegirl had to attend a bachelorette party and needed a bunch of penis-shaped water guns to hand to the other participants so she asked me to accompany her to this store.

I never would have thought this spot would do well in the west village but it was packed when we got there.

They have tons of sex toys like monster dils (who uses that?!), vibrating cylindrical objects, edible undies, and other sexy bedroom attire.

The vid selection is beat and I think they should just get rid of them since you can find everything on the internet now.

If you need fun/funny ish for your next sex toy / bachelorette party or if your lovelife has lost its thrill, hit this spot up.

Only in New York would you gauge the changing seasons and holidays by the rotating display windows of a sex toy store.

Having lived around the block from Fantasy World, I would always wonder how soon after Halloween the Christmas stuff would go up and whether certain holidays would be acknowledged (Easter? St. Patrick's?). The answers: a couple of weeks, not as far as I remember, definitely.

However, it wasn't until I moved out of the neighborhood that my knowledge of this store's existence proved of any use.

After having a bachelorettes' lunch nearby, we decided that my friend, the lovely bachelorette, needed some paraphernalia to designate such status during our pub crawl throughout the We-Vil.  As the lightbulb went on above my head, I led our little group over to Fantasy World and stepped into a world of...well...[some people's] fantasies...

if such fantasies involved inflatable peni (plural of penis?), movies for *ahem* adults, Bo Peep (Show) outfits, and the Rabbit....

which, for some people, they surely do.

Anyway, we came in and were faced with the awe- (or fear-) inspiring selection of bachelorette goodies. From "Hottie Police" badges to the aforementioned inflatable peni, there was a wide variety from which to make our selections.  After multiple attempts to get at least a pair of penis earrings into play were nixed, I finally went to the register with a (comparatively tasteful) veiled tiara that blinked "Bride-To-Be." The cost - $15. Not bad for a last minute purchase.

Takeaway is that you can get a decent selection of fun and funky accessories (from relatively tame to totally outrageous) for your parties and/or sexytimes for a reasonable price.

One of the best sex shops in the city, hands down.

If your looking for a cute little sex shop, that doesn't have much variety, then the pleasure chest is a few door down.  On the other hand, if your looking for that good old fashion, 42nd street type sex shop, then welcome to Fantasy World.

The store is pretty big and they have a huge assortment of sex toys.  Everything from DVD's to harnesses to whips to party favors.  I mean this place has it all.  They have every lotion and condom imaginable.  The staff is really helpful and are willing to answer any questions you might have.  

The only downside to this store is that it's not as classy as the pleasure chest, and sometimes the staff is standing outside almost trying to sell you on coming in like Cheech Marin in "From Dusk till Dawn", lol.  I must say they do take time to decorate the shops windows outside, they are like the Macy's of the sex shops.  

If your an old fashioned New Yorker that won't bother you at all.  You have to visit here at least once.

Over the years, I have shopped at Fantasy World a few times.I always end up returning to them.
My husband and I went in to look for a strap on harness and toy.One thing about this shop is that their prices are very reasonable.I wish that I got a discount card-I feel left out since I have been shopping there over the years a few times eh he he!
Anyway,I am a curvy gal.I cannot just buy something I wear in the box and expect it to fit!I saw a really cute red "toy" that was 8 inches long,and was red glitter.It was perfect!
I asked the saleslady if she would be so kind as to let me try to fit it in a harness.I also asked if she could point me to some harnesses for curvy gals.Boy did she!There was a  vast selection of harnesses!If you are a les or bi do come here!Do not be intimidated that they are on the wall-they give plenty of help and are friendly here.Do not worry about being ashamed-chances are these folks have seen/heard it all!LOL!I nicely explained to my hubby that its ok to ask for help in an adult shop!
So,the nice lady put the nice red toy into a harness.She then let me put it on over my clothing!It was great because I was able to really tighten it and get a good fit.And if you were in the store that night,if I might say-you would have gotten a cute little show of a fun toy! Ha ha ha!
That being said, we found the perfect harness quickly! It did not break the bank! I got it home, put it on and it fit wonderfully!I had a *very*steamy encounter with my dear husband. Ladies, don't knock it till you try it!LOL!
The harness is nice thick leather, and it is easy to get everything put on.It is not at all complicated.
I definitely plan on returning here,as I have some other novelties in mind for purchase.
Moral of this review: Do not be worried about asking for help/info in an adult store.It's kinda like going to the doctor-they see and hear it all!
Thanks Fantasy World for making my fantasy a reality world!

Everything you need for your bedroom activities...and then some!  We went in to get some items for a bachelorette party and found more "enticing" things to purchase.  

A decent size selection of adult movies.  The sales staff there are extremely helpful - you can even get a discount card where you can get 10% off all your purchases!

I totally dig. I came in to get stuff for my friend's bachelorette party, and since she's a Yelper too I can't go into much detail (the party's not for a few more weeks). However, the staff was awesomely helpful and had some great ideas that I otherwise would never have come up with, and gave me discount cards for everyone (thanks!). Another nice touch is that they're open 24 hours. You know, in case you need another penis straw at 4 am.
