The best dessert place I have been to .. period ..
They have unique dessert options with impeccable floral garnishes , just the right amount of sweet and savory

They have really gone downhill
Stale dessert
Disappointing and this used to be so wonderful - 4951504805/23/2023
I thought it was just okay. I like how the sweets they make aren't too sweet, but they definitely are overpriced for what you get.
They have a little dining area inside and seats outside where you can enjoy your desserts.
The desserts are definitely picture worthy with their flowers and gold accents, but nothing I would rush to try or crave. - 1531395/24/2023
Got 3 of their more popular desserts. All looked good and tasted good as well . The coffees were not as hot as I would like and were just average.

My husband and I have a serious sweet tooth so when a coworker suggested we check out Extraordinary Desserts, we had a feeling it was going to be our jam. The interior is very modern and has a more intimate vibe - good for a date night or hanging out with friends. There's a ton to choose from. I ordered the Dulce de Leche, which was so good and very sweet! The flowers that it comes with are edible though they don't taste that great. I also ordered the dark hot chocolate which comes out almost like a build-a-sundae if you will where you can add whipped cream and chocolate pieces. It was also very rich. My husband ordered the croissant bread pudding, which he thoroughly enjoyed.
Highly recommended and I'll absolutely be coming back next time I'm in San Diego! - 134640023995/1/2023Updated review
The new location is very modern, inviting and this is my first time visiting this new location. Definitely different interior from the original location on 5th Avenue which I have fond memories of since they opened it.
At any rate, ample space inside and out. Public parking available. The creations of baked goods are always stunning!
This evening we had the standard Valrona chocolate
Which was creamy and delicious paired with chocolate and almond strudel love it thou I have forgotten how they sauce everything up. Also, I got th strawberry scone and chocolate mini Bundt cake.
Chocolate strudel almond was delicious and cna eat only a few bites. However, it's not flakey and challenging to actually cut. Doesn't cut easily. This was one of the most decadent strudel I have had.
The chocolate Bundt cake had melted chi Kate and Carmel flowing on top of it and when you find the cake, it was moist and delicious. They did a great job on this classic American cake.
I haven't had the scone, hoping it will wow my palate.
New place also reflects new prices, cake slices are now $12.95.
Service was friendly and professional.
As always, the team serves up excellent fare.3/20/2014Previous reviewLove love the decadent desserts here. I often order the sauce on the side, as I am able to eat only half the dessert.
Service is often friendly.
One thing I noticed that when they cook fish, the smell does not compliment the delicious desserts.
The location in little Italy is a bit more lively, however, I like the high ceilings and vast open space. - 63104135/25/2023
So good we came here twice in two days! My friend had the chocolate raspberry cake both times and clearly enjoyed it. I had the coco passion pastry the first time and the passionfruit linzer the second - I preferred the coco passion but both were delicious. I also enjoyed the varied tea selection, having the Chelsea Girl once and the Birthday Cake the other time. If ever in the area again, I will definitely be back!

Went for a quick late snack and didn't want to buy a $14 slice of cake at my hotel.
Came here after a quick google find and was not disappointed. I was able to get 2 desserts for 1/2 the price. I ordered the lemon cheesecake bar and the mini cocada. Both so fresh and delicious!
Apparently this place is also a restaurant but I got my treats to go.
Rightfully so because according to previous reviews, their customer service isn't that great. Which I can attest to - wasn't greeted upon entry , me and a couple behind us said this was our first time & no one asked to assist us , and there's 2 line (one to go and one to dine in) ... after standing in the to go line for about 3 mins , trying to figure out what's next ... someone was like "you ready" and then proceeded to walk to the counter.
I ordered with the dismissive cashier and went on about my day.
The mini cocada was soft and sweet and the lemon bar wasn't overpowering. I'm curious how the rest taste but I wouldn't rush to this establishment for a sweet tooth again. It was cute for the moment. - 5912935753/26/2023
Dreaming about these gorgeous desserts from Extraordinary Desserts in San Diego, CA! They were incredibly beautiful and delicious-- especially the pavlova...
The cafe is spacious and is a great place to do work or have a meeting/ date!
If you're in San Diego, this place is a must-try for dessert lovers! - 8343910284/16/2023Updated review
4-year update! Same dessert rating due to taste. It seems that the fruit-centric desserts or pies may be best. Cakes and pies are now about $12 per slice. You're mostly paying for the stellar ambience and presentation.
- Matcha Misu. Ricotta cake moistened with matcha green tea and frosted with marscapone whipped cream. The cake was moist, but the flavor was off. Matcha was simply an afterthought. The cream tasted more like white chocolate, and it was a too sweet. There was also a slight "playdough" aftertaste to the cream.
- Mango Passionfruit Pie (can't recall actual name). Absolutely delicious! The mango was present, the passionfruit puree fragrant. The flavors were rounded out by the fresh whipped cream. Even the pie shell was good and flaky. This dessert had the right amount of tartness and sweetness.1/26/2019Previous reviewBeautiful ambience, great taste, not great price. Street parking only (not counting this against them).
The Shangrila (guava and strawberry) cake that I ordered was not too sweet, and the sponge was soft and moist. My friends enjoyed their chocolate cake, which they said was sweet but we all have big sweet tooths so that's just another day in our lives.
At $9 per slice of cake, I felt that I already have many different options for desserts on the same level as this. The flower garnishes were aesthetically pleasing, however I expected more to justify the price. I'm aware that they won't be serving entrements here, but the cake layers actually look quite sloppy.
