Extended Stay America - Sacramento - Roseville

This hotel is not ready for prime time, literally: Nobody at front desk in the morning when you want to check out. Also, the room telephone and remote control did not work. They lacked some basic toiletries like conditioner. Everything is done on the cheap, including the closet hangers that are those white plastic ones you get from target.

This will be the last time I stay at an extended stay america hotel. It wasn't terrible, but with so many other better options there is no need to put up with inferior quality.

Bare bones. Rooms are clean and comfortable but no frills. If you want a hair dryer, coffee machine, coffee, shampoo, any utensils (even though there's a kitchenette) or more than the two plastic cups they provide, you have to get them from the front desk. People staying there are a little sketchy. Right next to freeway so noisy if you have your window open a little.

Worst hotel experience I've had in many years...ugh! The hotel literally did NOT have anythin: NO ice, NO luggage holder or cart, NO shampoo, NO hairdryer, NO coffee maker, NO customer service (horrible!) and I can go on. The first room they wanted to give us smelled like animal urine and the next room wasn't that much better. I would give it no stars if I could. Do NOT stay here unless you have everything with you...even ICE!!!

BYE BYE - never staying here again! :(

Worst place I've ever stayed in my life. Disgusting. Took 3 hours to get a room after switching rooms twice. First was the wrong bed size. Second smelled horrendously of cigarettes, third one the door wouldn't close all the way, but we didn't want to deal with the service anymore so we dealt with it.

All the workers had no clue what was happening.

It smelled like funky toilets everywhere.

Air vents and sinks were so dirty. As if they were NEVER CLEANED. caked with dirt.

No luggage carrier. It was "broke".

Breakfast was a joke.

Cops were there three times during our two day stay.

They don't bring anything to your room when requested. You have to go to the front desk to get pots, pans, dishes, blow dryer. Everything.

Worst experience I've ever had. I've been to Afghanistan twice and there were better amenities there.

I'm usually pretty aware that when I leave a review someone will actually care. I don't think so in this case. The place smells so badly of cigarettes. The clientele checking in before and after us was not what we expected. Got to the room and the microwave was blinking from the time someone else had set it on, the phone wasn't plugged in and the remote didn't work. Plugged phone in and called front desk and they had us come for a new remote but asked if the batteries were in current remote. Came back up with new remote and googled how to reprogram. Not worth $50 let alone $100.

If I could put no stars, I would.

The only bright spot of this hotel is the woman at the front desk. I unfortunately did not get her name.

Simple, you get what you pay for. I booked this hotel last minute for a one night stay at the rate of $120.00.

Issues with the hotel itself
1. They don't have the charts to help you roll your luggage to your room. I had 2 9th grade basketball players and a toddler with me.
2. They don't have quarters to use the laundry room.
3. The laundry room does accept cards but once you start the dryer, you can only add 5 more minutes which you can pay with card or quarters.


Issues with the room
There is a sticker on the bathroom mirror which talks about the points of cleanliness.
1. I opened a bottom cabinet and found a clear jar that was left behind from someone you previous used the room. The jar was filled with some sort of food. Let's just say is resembled chili?
2. The under part of the top cabinets was filthy. The best thing I can compare it to is the sticky residue that starts to build up under an air vent about a stove when it hasn't been cleaned in MONTHS.
3. I have a 4 year old, she walked barefoot in the room for about 10 minutes and her feet were very close to being BLACK.

I was so disgusted that I went to the store to buy cleaning supplies to wipe the room more then I normally do.

And to top everything, I asked for late check out. Check out is at 11, I asked Steven what is the maximum time I can have for late check out. First he said 11:30 and I asked if that was the latest and then he gave me until 12. When I went to check out at 11:50, there was a hand written note that said, " Be back at 12:05."

Please pay extra to stay somewhere that is clean.

Zero stars ... disgusting , black hair all over sink , I'm blonde. Smoke detector was hanging from its base not working , floor not swept , vent in bathroom caked with dust and who knows what else, 1 pillow on bed , called to get another and they said they are out of towels. For over $100 this is ridiculous
Stay away

I was shocked when I checked inside my room it's like we are in 2023, 1974. They're cheap asses need to do a remodel or just throw in the towel.

It was and quiet, but needs a MAJOR update. So many broken or old items.
(on the plus side, the AC was really nice though)

Overall it's an alright place,
but there are better places to stay locally that are the same price, for better quality.

Be very careful this place tried to charge me for a extra night. Once I got it right with them, they then told me it was going to take 3-5 days to put put back on my bank account. Bullshit!!

Don't waste your money staying here. Our TV didn't work, they don't have any luggage carts to use, the smoke alarm was ripped out of the ceiling and missing, the furniture and cabinets are in disrepair and one of the lamps didn't work, the toilet paper is hard as a rock, they don't provide any shampoo or anything, the fan in the bathroom didn't work and the toilet leaked. Oh yeah, the carpet had holes in it and worn out in high traffic spots. Overall terrible experience.
