There are quite a few pros and cons to this place so I'll just touch on what comes to mind at the moment. I will try to post some updates but if you aren't into bargain hunting, don't bother, if you are, a frugal grocery thrifter, definitely check it out!

Pros:
Some really great deals can be had on a good day. High end brands, well within quality "best use by" date ranges, for fantastic prices.
They have a wide selection of Organic, high end brand, generic, brands I've never heard of, and familiar looking brands in foreign languages.
The employees are friendly and cheerful. They seem happy to be there.
The store is clean and kept as tidy as possible for as much stuff as there is in it.
The selection changes daily. Every time I'm there I see staff loading new stock on shelves. They even have a cold beer selection.

Cons:
Some stuff is years out of date, or has no date.
It can get crowded. Sometimes with a few bothersome customers that stand in the middle of the aisle and stare intently at an item for what seems like a long time, blocking access.
The store does not have bags and they do not bag your items.
The carts are outside.
The doors are not automatic and are hard to open.
The parking lot is not well designed. Hard to pull into and out of, with spots far from the store.

It appears the store carries some items pass the expiration date, which is absolutely okay (safe) for some food items. But when I purchased New Seasons apple cider (about 2 days pass the date) at my own risk hoping it would be still be okay, I found mold on top once the lid was opened. I'm not sure why this store carries the items that are obviously not okay to be consumed pass the expiration. Please don't sell such, but instead compost them.

If your looking to score some deals on some off the Wall things, this place is for you since they are a liquidation store they get a lot of merchandise that either didn't sell fast enough at its original location or the factory made to much of it or messed up the package ie I bough a box of chicken pasta primavera that had no pasta in them factory forgot to add it(oops) no biggie since they were 50 cents a box I can just add noodles and still save money. I would give them higher stars but a LOT of things are past the sell by date and some products are a huge hit and miss, but shopping here is like gambling you don't know quite what the end results will be till you leave...

Great items and prices for what they sell.  Listen, I know this place is not New Seasons, but I would enjoy at least one ounce of respect from the employees at this store once in a while. The employees seem not to care nor do they understand customer service. I have been to this store at least 5 times: They have been out of "loyalty cards" for months. In the meanwhile they would stamp my receipt. Today I go in and the "so-called" manager told me she won't stamp my receipt. I asked if the loyalty program went away.  She said NO!  I asked when they anticipate getting cards in? She turns her back to me and starts complaining about me to another customer in line. I could not even get a full sentence out of her.  I can go on about the service but will stop here. You all get the point. My next step is to call the companies home office. I am done w/ them.

Okay, I decided to be fair by visiting several months apart. Turns out my second visit reinforced many of my original concerns.

While I am always one for a bargain, there are very few items I actually want, regardless of price.

The produce section is scary...everything looks like it should have been shelved weeks before.

Staff seem poorly trained and I am pretty sure they are not intentionally rude...just need more home training and social skill development.

The entry and exit are not friendly at all - you have to open the door manually. Think of all the people that makes it hard to maneuver?!

The store it self is laid out okay although there always seems to be many abandoned carts blocking the aisles or staff stocking aisles taking more space than needed.

Bottom Line - these products are there for a reason...and mostly because they are way past their sale dates AND dented. Several items are not great to begin with like dated canned goods from poor quality food from China.

I came across a brand of dog food that is one of the better brands and it hadn't expired. I knew something was up. Well, yes, "voluntary" pet food recall. Yup, another reason it's there.

The place is simply too depressing to visit again.

I couldn't love this place more! Whenever I visit my sister in Portland, this is one of our mandatory stops. Do not let the bad reviews deter you from this place if you love bargain shopping. You have to have the the right mentality when shopping @ Everyday Deals: 90% of the merchandise is expired, about to expire, overstock, or no longer sold. The stores are filthy, dusty and crowded, but that's part of the fun: you don't come to a discount grocery store expecting a Whole Foods experience! If you can ignore the physical space and love to score a fantastic deal, this place is where you'll find it.

You can find better prices elsewhere. Staff wasn't interested in helping when I was looking for things either. It seems like they're more concerned with ignoring people than helping. Won't be back.

I have been to this store a couple times but I will NEVER return. Both times I did not have a pleasant experience. The entire place felt dirty and the employees were rude, unhelpful and also had a dirty feel about them. The store and products were not worth my time or money.

It's always an adventure shopping here and the bargains can be amazing!  Don't come wanting a specific item- because that's not how it works.  They receive random grocery items-which they may or may not ever have again.  It's fun to try new things without busting the budget and every trip here is a new experience.  Produce is so reasonable here people can actually afford to eat healthy regardless of the season.  Be brave -close dated or outdated food is good well beyond the best by date.

I visited this store on April 29, 2017 looking for a few items to pick up on my way home. This place is not very clean, floors are dirty, the shelves are dusty and a few stuff were outdated. They should go thru their shelves and throw out the expired items. I mentioned the expired item  to a clerk and he orient seem to care. Lucky for me I don't live near there. I advice people not to shop here...stay away.

I agree with what all the other reviews said: awesome, sketchy, great finds, cheap.  

However, the people who work here really don't have a sense of how to be professional.  I understand they are probably underpaid and badly treated by their customers and their boss who always seems to be there and yelling at them.  One time my cashier was so sick that she was almost falling over and the boss was right there, making her work.  Is that really the person you want handling your food?

Today I had a cart that would not turn easily so I parked it discreetly away from the line of traffic and went around the store getting things and putting them in my cart.  As I was grabbing my oatmeal bars, I heard screaming in the store.  I mean loud screaming.  I couldn't understand it but when I got back to my cart my food was there but my bags were gone.  Someone took my bags!  Oh yeah, did I mention that if you don't have a bag you are out of luck?  I took my cart up to the cashier and a clerk came up to me and started yelling at me for leaving my food unattended.  She said that she screamed for me to come get my cart but that I never came so she took my bags.  She was mad that I had refrigerated items that would go bad.

I had left my cart for only a few minutes and I told her it was really hard to push and it wouldn't go around corners very well.  I felt like a child that she was scolding.  Really lady, this is not a way to treat customers.

I always feel like when I shop at cheap places I'm getting a discount for being mistreated.  

When I worked in retail one of our training missions was to go around to posh retail shops and observe customer service.  Even though I worked at a discount place, we could still offer good service.  I would encourage this owner to do the same.  People don't like to be scolded when they shop.

I simply LOVE these stores!  Let me tell you why:
Pros
-I can feed a lot of people for very little money
-there are new items daily
-prices CAN be up to 75% off retail
-sometimes I can get produce & meat as well as grocery shelf stable items
-Organic/Gluten free items
-Outdated items don't bother me.  They have always been safe & rarely have I had to throw anything out.  Got rancid popcorn & crackers a couple times but I go here multiple times a week.  So I'd say that's pretty good
-Owners & staff are really great!

Cons:
-inventory in inconsistent &
Sometimes so low it feels like a wasted trip.
-larger items like #10 cans are more often than not MARKED UP & cost more than Costco or Cash and Carry
-know your prices because frozen items are sometimes MARKED UP as well.

• First to Review

This place is CHEAP...and just a bit sketchy.  I have found some wonderful gems here: $1 boxes of quality tea, variety of Tillamook ice cream (always odd, but yummy flavors) also for $1.  If you're into flavored coffee creamer they often have the out of season varieties for a buck.  Other random stuff: canned coconut water, lots of mixed bag snack foods or gum.  Be prepared for an adventure, as the people watching is priceless and you may have to dig for things to find what you really want.  Remember to check expiration dates, some things are fine and others are way past the date.  Some visits I load up a bag or 2, others I am grasping at the idea of why some people spend so much time here.
