This was my first time in Teterboro. Normally I go to the one in Clifton. However, I decided to give Teterboro a shot since my commute to work passes that area. It just seems more convenient and the reception ladies in Clifton aren't all that great. Anyways it was my first time today with Angelika and the reviews were absolutely right about her. She's definitely amazing. My last wax was about one month and two weeks ago. So she was so gentle and tried to keep my mind off from thinking about it. I'm definitely going back to Angelika in 4 weeks!

I just had my Brazilian wax and under arm done at Teterboro. Alexa was my Waxer. She is amazing. Very gentle.

I have gone to the European Wax Center of Teterboro twice now. Both experiences were great! After moving from Brooklyn I had a hard time trusting that someone would be able to do what I preferred. On both occasions, by specialist was able to send me home with clean and tidy eyebrows.

Pros: The specialists are attentive to what your needs are and will consult with you before your session so that they know what you are looking for them to be able to accomplish.

Cons: Price point is very high compared to typical salons.

I used to go to European Wax Center a lot of times before Covid & decided to stop waxing for personal reasons. I still had 2 wax passes left & decided to go back & get a Brazilian wax. My appointment was at 8:30pm which worked out perfectly as I got seen right away. I was trying to make conversation with the woman waxing me as I was nervous and anxious for the pain but could tell she wasn't interested in talking since it was close to closing time. She barely said a word to me during the wax. During the wax it seemed to me as though she was being very through by going over some spots with a tweezer or wax again and because of this I left a generous tip. When I got home I checked the area and there was so much hair she didn't wax, left me a mess with wax all over and baby powder, and missed a whole area. Just curious what was the point of going over areas if you didn't fix anything?! Honestly I'm debating going back to this location and trying another location or local salon. Even the receptionist started arguing with me about how many passes I had left and when I showed her I had one more on the app she just gave me back my phone and said "I don't even know how to use that app". Is the staff not being trained properly at this location? Because that's what it seems like

I like the waxers there -- they are respond well to feedback and are good at making conversation! I have only gotten my eyebrows waxed at this location. Is the service worth $21? Not really. I like that the waxers respond well to feedback, because I usually have to remind them to get ALL the stray eyebrow hairs. Routinely, they forgot to wax between my brows or to get little hairs at the tail of my brow. I've been getting my brows waxed for about five years, and this is the first place that I have had to keep reminding them to be more thorough. I have very dark hair that stands out, so it's pretty easy to see them.

The reason for my 2 stars is the front-desk staff and management. I have been there five times, and each time my brows look good. However, EVERY SINGLE TIME they mix up the appointment time and name! It is so frustrating to make an appointment 4 weeks in advance and have them change the time. At first it was off by 15-30 minutes. Most recently, it was off by two hours. When they call to confirm the wrong time, I usually inform them that it's incorrect. This week was the sixth time they gave me the wrong time so I cancelled the appointment. For a chain of stores like this, I expect more organization.

Another issue is that they routinely mix me up with another Maria. It has happened three times. I only get eyebrow waxing done, but this other person gets more expensive and multiple things done. When I go into the waxing room there's always confusion as to what's going on. I only realized they mixed me up with someone else (and not that they put me down for the wrong service) because they gave me a receipt when I hadn't even given them my debit card because I "had a card on file" -- which I don't. Then, I noticed the last 4 digits of the card that were on the receipt were incorrect. I've had this happen three times since I went. Had I not pointed it out, the wrong person would have been charged.

It's an expensive place to get your brows done, especially in this area where you can get them waxed for $5-6, and the organization is clumsy.

I'm giving 4stars because not all the waxers give a good experience. I've been going here on and off, because I only go in the summer when I come to visit in Jersey. Therefore when I go the first time back every summer I tell the wax lady I haven't used wax in a while so bare with me. I've had two bad experiences with two different people that just didn't seem to care at all and left with my skin bleeding and there was a time the wax was way too hot. They are a little pricey as well. Other than that they have good service and majority of them are very polite. If you find a person you have better service or experience with after a couple times going there, I'd suggest only booking with them. They have a very great receptionist and she tells you about all the discounts and deals they have to offer. They currently have a wax pass deal that you pay for monthly until it's paid off or you can pay it all in one and get discount off every time you go. They have different prices for different passes. I got one that cost a little over $300.The passes never expire so even if you don't go every four weeks or consistently it's still worth it to get, because you could use the pass whenever you decide to go back. They have disconnected passes for students but those can expire. They also have a reward system and every 200 points equals a $10 reward.

Waxing has always been super painful for me which is why I've only done it twice before so after shaving si long the experience was very painful but a great experience if it makes sense. Mitchelle was very patient and thorough. I will be coming back to her each time now. I have committed to 12 sessions. :)

I got sucked into EWC with their free first time waxing. Now I cannot imagine going weeks without getting my eyebrows done. I like EWC because they have tons of locations which are basically carbon copies.

Buying an unlimited package is also super freeing because it means you can go in as much as you want. They run specials like buy 12 months get 1 month free or buy 9 get 3 for free.

The Teteboro location is very convenient since you can combine grocery shopping with personal grooming ... Score! I used to float around to different locations and never really had anyone specific. That changed when I met Taylor. On our first session, she asked me what I loved about my brows and what I wanted to changed, how I prefer them to look, which no other person had ever asked me before.

She's very friendly and easy to talk to. Most importantly she takes her job seriously and is very OCD and particular. Afterwards, I always receive many compliments on my eyebrows.

I had a full Brazilian wax with TARA this May be TMI , but I had not waxed in almost 2YEARS and was dreading my visit. I was a regular in the Edgewater location over 2 yrs ago and since then moved. Today was my 1st visit at the Teterboro location and went with Tara because of the good reviews. My experience was 100000% painless and QUICK! Tara was extremely profesional and made me feel comfortable. She was down to earth super cool girl and will I be returning. Thank you Tara! *happy tears*

I went in for a Brazilian wax with Angelika. I am used to getting waxed and have a pretty good pain tolerance and understanding of the entire process!


Angelika was soooo sweet!!!! She was a great conversationalist making me feel comfortable and not embarrassed visiting someone new at "that time". She made sure to test the wax temperature, stretch my skin, and apply firm pressure when the strips where removed. Not all waxers do this and it truly makes the world of a difference!!!!

She is an absolute must see if you are a first timer, looking for someone new or need an emergency waxing and need to go to someone trustworthy!!

Fantastic service and experience at this location. This was my second time getting waxed and Angelique (sp?) was wonderful. She made sure I was comfortable and she was totally professional unlike the experience I had at a different location. I will definitely return here for the wonderful service.
