Our two rental store locations in West Bend and Hartford WI allow us to serve the entire Southeastern Wisconsin area. Our fleet of delivery vehicles gives us the flexibility to bring equipment to you....when you need it. Our wedding was on Labor Day weekend. When our other rental company for a dance floor and staging backed out at the last minute, we were left scrambling. Other rental agencies were very frustrating with terrible communication, delays in returning phone calls or not listening to/answering our questions.
Colin at Equipment Rentals was fantastic at listening, providing complete answers to questions, even when I had to call him back several times because the only dance floor option they had remaining available wasn't the ideal solution for us and I wanted to investigate other options. When I finally realized that ER was our best option, particularly because of their customer service, we rented with them.
Colin took the time to explain all of the setup and work through logistics with us. Other warehouse personnel were pleasant. Pickup and return was easy and reliable. They even sent us a thank you card after our event.

Very misleading pricing! Quoted $42 for an additional day to keep the equipment and ended up being $120. Make sure you get it in writing!

When we first moved to Wisconsin some 8 years ago, we purchased an old farmhouse on a dilapidated old defunct farm. We're talking major fixer-upper, and not just the home...the barn, the pastures, fences, everything. I was at Equipment Rentals nearly every week some months. I rented hardwood floor equipment, mowers, chainsaws, tillers, skidsteers, and just about every tool you can imagine. Yesterday was my last trip to Equipment Rentals. That's it. I've found that more and more of their equipment is broken, old and worn out, poorly maintained, or not even put back together properly so as to be nonfunctional that I'm renting less and less stuff there.
Mowers is about the only thing I've rented for the past couple of years...and now those, too are worn out. The drive is 30 min each way from my home, but I had really liked working with Jeff and Terry the owners. I can no longer justify the drive as I've had so many return trips to return shoddy equipment--yesterday twice with "brush hog type" mowers that I've rented since moving here. They are now worn out and don't even cut grass that my junky mower at home can handle. And then, only to be argued with by an employee there who had not even tried out the machine. Of course I'm not going to drive round trip one hour if I'm mistaken about the machine. C'mon, buddy! I wasted 3 hours on round trips and came away with nothing mowed.
Last year I got home with a chainsaw that wasn't put back together properly...indeed it was missing a flywheel so the chain didn't spin. Hour round trip wasted. I've had a tractor with a rear auger that brokedown--200 lb auger stuck in the hole--that they had to come out and retrieve. A few years ago a tiller didn't work...got a replacement and it too broke down in my garden. I was so mad I told them that it was going to remain where it was and if they wanted it back THEY would have to come out and get it out of the garden themselves.
But yesterday with the mowers (plural) episode was the last straw. I see they're getting more and more into the party supplies rental business. Jeff told me that's where the real money is...so, looks like they may simply be allowing their equipment to die slow deaths and to fade away. Pity as I'm a very loyal customer when given good service. I've spent 1000s of dollars on rentals there over the years. The staff were very helpful and friendly. I had to make some last minute changes to my rental equipment. I cancelled two of the sides for the tent I rented and they were great about it. Also, you get more time to use the equipment than with their competition. I would definitely use them again.
