Equinox Encino

I really like how nice this gym is. Lots of equipment, really friendly fellow patrons, a huge slate of classes (I'm going to try some new kinds), and towel service!

I haven't tried the shakes or the apparel store here, but they seem quite nice.

I'm going to try out a personal trainer as well, and be open-minded about it.

The la fitness down the street in Encino is nicer than here with 1/10 of the cost! Seems like they have found ways to cut costs over the years and took away from the customer experience! Guess what!? I canceled my membership and won't return. The bathrooms used to have lots of personalized stuff, but no more. Not much equipment to be able to complete a full workout. Front desk people can be rude at times which is unacceptable. You are wasting your money here! For $30 can get twice as what you can get here at another gym. Can't believe I've been getting ripped off all these years

The gym is beautiful, but don't be fooled, the plan is a fortune for what it offers and no, you don't have a VIP experience and you start to be disappointed when you see that the equipment is not the most modern, there is a lack of equipment even in the Units that are Sport. and that the gym that costs 35 dollars a month has more modern equipment than the one that costs almost 400 a month, that everything you want to do you pay for is more expensive, that the classes that you should always take like basic swimming, are not available in the winter, only in summer, what's the point of the pool being covered then, and if you want, of course, pay extra for it?! My plan is that I can go to any unit, so I go to some units that are closer to where I go (Sport Culver/Encino/Studio City are the main ones)... beginning of the year full gym and staff blocking 3 devices for your client to use... I don't see problem with blocking the device, but let's have common sense not to do it when it's full and units like the one in Encino which is tiny and Studio (always full) practically one device per session... there's no way we can have an attitude like that... My year plan will already be over, and I'm honestly not happy about renewing.

I'm relocating from the Bay Area. Came to check out this gym as a potential future workout-spot. The initial guy at reception was super friendly HOWEVER the cold shoulder I received from "member service representative", not ok. He offered me a "guest pass next month"!? Claims Equinox "limits" the amount of guests in the gym. For real!? I guess they don't want new clients?

Ya'll at this gym NASTY. Towels left everywhere. Hardly anyone wipes down their machine. You'd expect better manners at Equinox located in the suburbs. No home training I guess. The women gym-goers are nice. Employees are great. The amenities in the locker room are lacking. No hair ties. Cmon now that's lame as heck.

I came from having no gym membership in years and decided to go to equinox. Chris helped me out and was so knowledgeable and helpful and made the experience. Amazing! I love the gym and all the people that work, There are so sweet. Even to the woman's locker cleaner, I am graced with everyone's happy attitude at all times.

I recently joined Equinox Encino and so far it has been wonderful -- a great experience!
I was given a complimentary Personal Training session with Kylie, who was second to none.
The environment is very comfortable and clean, and the people there are friendly and helpful.
The classes are varied and challenging, with the best music.
The snack/juice bar has terrific offerings, and there is a boutique with reasonably priced workout gear.
I've been to the gym practically everyday since joining, and every morning I wake up looking forward to my next visit!

As a big fan of equinox and the brand, I am disappointed I have to write such a review. If you are thinking of going to a equinox go to literally ANY other location and stay far away from Encino! The assistant manager, Cesar, is so off brand for equinox it's disappointing such a strong customer based company has someone like him operating a location and working in customer service. My friend and I, who are paying full access destination members, wanted to bring a friend to try out the gym and see if he likes it enough to get a membership. Collectively we have referred close to a dozen people and the best way we show off the gym is by bringing them. He was rude and embarrassed the equinox brand and myself in front of a potential member. As I spoke to other friends who frequent this location they also informed me of negative interactions they have had with him. Spend the extra 10 mins and go to Woodland Hills or Studio City, always accommodating and polite. They truly represent equinox well!!

Very nice gym. Friendly, clean, and great equipment. Memberships are pricey but if you work out a lot...

I would not join. Save your money. Parking is a pain..Trying to reserve a class is wonky. Lockerroom is cramped. The music puts youto as9leep. Just not a good experience at all. Not renewing. You've been warned.
