Ello Pretty

This is a pricey salon ($200-300, gratuity included, for a cut and color), but when you invest with the right stylist, you get more than the service you pay for. I've cut and colored my hair at home for ~20 years between sporadic/infrequent visits to budget salons to fix mistakes (both netting mediocre results at best). I leave each of my appointments at Ello Pretty confident, with healthy hair and a cut designed for low-effort maintenance + sustainable grow-out.

I understand that not everybody feels comfortable walking into the space (I don't love feeling like a misfit in a room full of confident babes, either), but once I'm in the chair, I completely forget there's anyone else around; Lauren treats me like an MVP every visit and I genuinely feel like I'm having a conversation with an old friend. Never do I feel judged, nor like I'm boring her or wasting her time. I don't feel forced into uncomfortable small talk since the conversation flows so naturally; she's smart, professional, and sincerely cool.

It's worth reiterating that the price of your visit ALSO includes intangibles like active listening. Lauren encourages me to share my ideas, photos, million questions, and requirements before we start. Any concerns, re: texture, length, complimenting my skin or face shape, color, maintenance, styling, etc. are addressed fully and thoroughly, and she checks in with me several times throughout the appointment to make sure we're still headed in the right direction/achieving the results I want, offering me the control to change my mind, ask questions, or fine-tune along the way. Never have I felt so in control of my appearance, nor had as much trust in the person doing the work - she always knocks it out of the park.

The wait to see her can be long, so once you're sold, book an entire series of appointments!

I've been to this salon 3 times. Every time I go, I show them a picture of the blonde I want, absolutely no dark hair in the pictures, and they still leave so much dark in my hair. My last visit, I made it a point to say I didn't want any dark in my hair. I was initially okay with the results because she didn't leave as much dark as the last girl did. Then recently, I saw this picture someone took of me. The last girl I went to completely missed two huge strips on the back of my head. I'm so embarrassed that I've been walking around like this. For the price you pay...this salon is not worth it. I pay $300+ every time I go and am never happy with my results. The vibe is cute in the place but that's about it. I gave it a couple chances but I'm done.

Sending in another review! This is the third time I've gotten hair extensions with Annie! She is amazing, I love them more and more each time I get them! Everyone needs to see Annie from Ello Pretty for all your hair needs!

This is an absolutely amazing salon. It has such a wonderful atmosphere and everyone is so sweet! They also use IGK and R+Co products, which smell and feel great!

I was looking through hair salons online. I found one that was close to me and had good reviews. I tried booking it online and was directed to call to book an appointment. I called and booked an appointment for Tuesday April 18th for highlights.
I was told by Jessica if I didn't cancel the appointment within a specific amount of time there would be a fee. She never said how much.
Due to circumstances beyond my control I did not make the appointment. I received a call from Jessica stating they were going to charge my visa $ 220.oo for not showing up. I thought maybe $25-50 for the fee. That amount is ridiculous. I am a senior on a fixed amount and cannot afford that. This is ridiculous! How can they get away with this? In all my years I have never heard of this or death with it before.

It's been days since I got my hair cut with Kara or cara idk how to spell her name but I went in their blind hands down recommend this business to anyone with thick curly or wavy hair the staff and ambiance are to die for !!! Thank you for everything!!! You'll be seeing me soon!

Ello pretty hair salon is extremely over priced and not worth your time or your money. I missed my hair appointment for and I got charged twice for it. I called the manager, She was unprofessional and rude. She did not give me a full refund and I am furious. She acted like a real life Regina George from Mean Girls.
The customer is always right and clearly she was never taught that.
That is sales 101. As a loyal customer I will not be returning back and will be taking my business elsewhere.

I cannot recommend Kelsey at Ello Pretty enough! I've been seeing Kelsey Kerrigan since I moved back to RI and she is amazing! My blonde is always perfect! If you're looking for someone who knows blondes, Kelsey's it. Her attention to detail is unmatched. She always makes sure my hair is healthy, on-trend and professional for my job. Plus, she's an absolute joy to see! 10/10

I have been seeing Kelsey for over two years and I am always so impressed by what she can do with my hair! I see her primarily for highlights/hair-painting/foils but she also cuts my hair occasionally. Everyone in the salon is so kind and I always leave feeling more beautiful! I am so thankful for Kelsey!

I have been going to Lauren Billingsly for EXACTLY two years now (happy anniversary).

I can't even think about going to anyone else without getting anxious, every time I go no matter what cut I get it's perfect. From bangs to layers to fixing the undercut I got on a whim without consulting you (oops).

The salon itself looks like a building made for photoshoots: Clean, minimalistic, greenery, big open space, and room to walk so you're not crowded screaming over each other. You walk in and you feel like you're there out on a coffee date with your friends.

Every person I see walks out with photoshoot-ready hair and I can't suggest this place more. If you like good vibes this is the salon for you!

Ashley is the extension goddess!! Its my first time ever having extensions installed & she has sealed the deal for me, ill be going to her now and forever to continue to get them. For starers, she was very thorough on the installation process and what to expect after first getting them. Secondly, she set me up for success with both after care products and instructions to make the most out of my extensions. Lastly, they're absolutely beautiful!! I have received so many compliments on how natural looking they are. They are so long, thick & soft im absolutely obsessed. Total confidence booster, 10/10 recommend.
