I will first apologize for my lack of hand-eye coordination to my fellow helpers!
That being said, Paddle Ball was a good time. Sort of a cross between tennis and racquetball and played in the winter in the ROC! (Who knew?!)
The coaches were great and patient, with good senses of humor and tips on playing the game.
And a special shout-out to Breanna B's dad who was not only a great coach but a master at trash talking! So much fun!
I'd so consider joining a league in the future or showing up for happy hour!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Dec 5, 2016
I had always wanted to try Paddle Tennis so this Elite Yelp event was the perfect way to do so. Fortunately the December weather could not have been better for this event.
All of the instructors were very helpful and patient... and had a good sense of humor which is key when dealing with a bunch of beginners. I certainly got a feel for the game and will likely look into trying one of the TCR intro events this winter.
It was also nice to meet some other Yelpers and to do some socializing which appears to be one of the big features of this game.
Hopefully there will be more "sporting" related events like this one. Thanks for setting up!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Em R.Rochester, NY151430167Dec 5, 2016
We had a lot of fun at the Paddle Tennis event!
We learned the basic techniques and played a few games on a chilly but clear day.
The people that TCR were very helpful and patient with us. After a few rounds we really warmed up and got to enjoy an afternoon outside playing!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Klein L.Rochester, NY19155158Dec 4, 2016
WOW WOW WOW!
I have never heard of Paddle in my 29 years of life. As an avid tennis player growing up, i was very excited to hear that this was happening! The coaches were very imformative and patient with all of us. I had a blast! Definitely going to go to a few Happy Hour events on Friday and Saturdays. All in all, this event was above and beyond my expectations and my guest surely enjoyed it as well.
If you like tennis or raquetball, this is a good alternative especially if you're itching to smack a ball in the winter time. Heated courts let you play all year round :-)
We even got to play with Breanna B's father and boy was he a hoot!
Will definitely be back!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
