Amazing great food friendly staff . I always get a chimichanga with My husband doesn't care for Mexican he always orders steak. It's hard to find a good steak at a Mexican restaurant . They have a thick and juicy steak. ( Husband is very pleased) If your looking for a good Mexican restaurant this is the place.

I am not kidding when I tell you that my family and I have literally been coming here my entire life. We'd come every single Sunday after church for years and years. I still love this place. I still go. I just happen to live on the street behind it now (haha!) GREAT service, GREAT food, GREAT prices!! They get your food out so fast every time. Nice, big portions! I've never ever had a bad experience here. Also, I have to mention, they actually leave a bottle of salsa on your table so you can refill your little salsa bowl as much as you want. A lot of these new Mexican restaurants around here aren't doing that. You'd have to keep asking for salsa. Bottom line- this place is awesome and I hope it's in business forever!

Stopped in here for dinner since we were craving Mexican food. Food was very plain no spice to it at all. I've been here before but it was many years ago and I remember the food tasting good. The server was friendly the food came out hot and in a timely manner . All they needed was a little spice!

Good food and great service. I definitely recommend trying this place if you like Mexican food.

Well this wasn't the best choice for sure but we needed a quick bite to eat. Disclaimer it's in a dry county! No margaritas here. Chips were maybe refried they were very dense, but we were hungry and ate on. Salsa mediocre at best. Not a place I would revisit.

The decor is fun. Employees were very nice. There's lots of menu items to choose from. I wasn't thrilled with the food, though.

El Rodeo has decent Mexican food for Louisiana. I go here pretty often with coworkers for lunch, and I'm usually pretty happy with what I get. They give you free chips and salsa, but the salsa isn't what I'm used to coming from California. It's more of like a tomato puree with some cilantro and onion mixed in. But hey, it's free so I guess you can't be too picky.

The fajita plate is always good. One thing I'm not a fan of, and I've noticed this in a lot of Mexican style food places here in Alexandria, is that they like to put this weird cheese flavored sauce on top of things. Like for instance, they have a fajita nacho plate, but instead of it having shredded cheddar and jack cheese on top, it's got this weird white colored cheese sauce. I don't really care for it too much. Another thing that disappoints me a bit is that they don't have Cholula or Tapatío sauce. I really like to have one of those with my Mexican food. Oh well...

I would recommend this place for lunch; it's decent Mexican food at a decent price.

If I want to eat Mexican, this is the place I go to. The service is extremely fast. You never have to wait too long for your food. They also give you a lot to eat at a cheap price. I recommend the fajita nachos to anyone who hasn't ate here before.
