325801/4/2023Do you ever crave that home cooking from your childhood or where you grew up at? That's EXACTLY what I got here. SPECTACULAR authentic mexican food with lovely servers and a hipster "at your grandmas house" mexican ambiance. What I've craved in delicious mouthwatering Mexican food I've definitely found here in this little San Ysidro restaurant. Mucho Amor Â

Parking sucked.
The only reason for 2 stars was the young waiter at the end that seemed pleasant and took away my food.

Hi Maya, as we hope you can tell from much of our previous reviews, we focus on bringing great customer attention and quality food. We are determined to always continue to work on this mission, which especially includes serving all parties who dine with us, our signature chips and beans!
We hope you’re not discouraged to come back and have another try with us! We love all our customers and especially due to our location being so close to the border, we enjoy all the different types of people we get to meet and interact with.

The bummer is they regularly dont turn on their sattelite phone #, so you cant order to go until they do, which can take hours. Very frusgrating as no other business has a phone that has to be turnee on every day or employees that forgwt to do it.
124481/24/2023Was right next to the border and went to this unsuspecting family restaurant wh pleasantly surprised me. The food was good and not too pricy. We got chips and beans before food came which was a nice touch so I wasn't hangry. The server Edgar was super nice and checked up on us to see how we were doing multiple times. I don't go to the border often but I will definitely be back!

My friend and I went and had breakfast and our total based on the listed prices should've been $22, but our bill came back as almost $38. Â When I asked about the difference in pricing, the waitress stated the posted menu prices is not what they are charging due to inflation. I understand inflation is in issue but transparency is important.

The Red Menudo was the best I've had from any restaurant in San Diego. It was perfectly cooked and the broth was delicious!
