The kindest business owners you will ever meet! Down to earth and truly cater to their customer needs, like customizing an order to fit your dietary restrictions. You can tell they love what they do and have been doing it for years. I've had my fair share of tortas in Austin and Dallas, but I can confidently say, this place has taken spot #1! Their tortas are loaded and they don't hold back on their toppings. The bread that they use is fresh, and the meat is well seasoned! Looking forward to coming down south again to have another one of their tortas!

The is the closest quickest food I can get near my house late at night and man I'm a lucky guy, cause its freaking amazing!
The tortas a really good but where its at here for me is the al pastor.
Just imagine, its after midnight everything is closed and then walking distance you have El Paisa open till 2am slinging some of the best food truck pastor in the city.
If you're hungry you really cant be the quality of the tacos and tortas at El Paisa. Don't skip on this place.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - Bryna S.Kailua-Kona, HI04617Oct 24, 2015
CASH ONLY.
I don't often leave a review after my first visit some where, but WOW, these guys deserve it. I had burger that had a really yummy perfectly cooked beef patty, grilled hotdog, pineapple, ample cheese and veggies. I paid $5 for this thing and it was a monster! I don't speak Spanish (not that it ever held me back from trying new places), so I was super pleased that the guy that took my order spoke English. I didn't tip when I first paid and there was no feeling of resentment. I happily tipped their jar after eating that awesome burger.
Asked about hours and he said that they're closed on Tuesday, and typically open till 1am on weekdays, and close around 2am or 3am on weekends depending how busy it is. He said weekdays around 6-7 the wait can be up to 40 minutes because they get pretty busy.
I don't know how they don't have more reviews. Awesome prices for simple and hefty portions of truck food. Heck yeah!Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Sandeep G.Austin, TX138192829Dec 30, 2011First to Review
This taco truck is parked in the lot for the car wash, next to Sonic. It happens to be one of the few late night options in the area, open until 2am. It's also notable for having a satellite dish and a TV on the outside, for your entertainment.
I got a sope with chorizo and suadero for 4 bucks. It sounded pricey when I ordered it, but it's rather large - more like a huarache I'd say. The flavor was a bit bland though, but easily remedied with the tomatillo salsa. Not bad for a 1am meal option.
I'm not sure whether this truck is related to the other El Paisa on Congress. While the neon sign makes me think so, the quality here seems inferior.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Vane M.San Francisco, CA701May 19, 2018
Service is horrible. The lady that always takes order is rude! Order gringas and to top off no cheese on them. Carne al pastor was burnt!! Really don't recommend.

Price is ok depends on what you order but these look more like mini tacos on a big tortilla. The sope isn't a sope, it's a huarache. Never open when it says open. I ordered 4 tacos, take in mind I was the only customer, it took 20 min to make.

First, let me tell you that i have never eaten here 100% sober :)
Having said that, I always look for this trailer after having a few and needing something tasty and greasy in this part of town (south east Austin).
Great drunk food and you can never go wrong with their tacos.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Odessa F.Austin, TX06Aug 14, 2015
This is one of my favorite food trucks here in Austin. The service is always so wonderful and the food.... My gosh! So so good! My family and I really enjoy coming here. It's great that they're open late! I love to get either the torta cubana or the tacos de alambre. Super good!!! I definitely recommend this place!
