W Anderson Ln location.
My wife and I stopped in for lunch. Nice size bar as you enter the restaurant with plenty of seating. The space is large and clean! (Clean bathroom)Not much for decorum but, we're not here for the tchotchkes. We were seated quickly and the chips (warm) and salsa (fresh, w/ a nice hint of cilantro and a touch of heat) hit the table. Our server was pleasant and attentive. My wife ordered a mixed drink and I had the sweet tea. For lunch she had the beef burrito w/ rice and I had the Beef Enchiladas w/ rice & beans. My enchiladas were good and the beef was flavored well, my refried beans could have been seasoned a little more. I like a little smoky, pork, ancho notes in my beans. The menu is pretty basic (no carnitas and other choices I would like) but an enjoyable meal overall. Give it a try.

Service
Needs to be a little better, we got there no one greeted us. So we sat out selfs. Don't get me wrong we use to come here allot and it was awesome. But it went downhill. Server was rude and her facial expression said it all. Wanted to get my daughter's food first, she's was hungry, server she just smacked her lips. Like it was inconvenience. No one has come to our table since order. They dropped daughters food off, we thanked waitress no comment.... Please at least speak to use and acknowledge
It almost seems like we're an inconvenience for being here.
There was hardly anyone in the restaurant. Tried to make casual conversation, but she seemed bothered.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jan 10, 2024
A great spot for traditional old school Tex mex! Satisfied our childhood cravings and nostalgia! We shared a creamy Queso with fresh homemade crispy chips and salsa with a nice kick. Ordered the combo plate which included a crispy beef taco to start followed by a plate of rice and beans with a cheese enchilada and pork tamale covered in a chili sauce. Spot on! Staff was friendly and we were seated right away. Lots of parking

Our family loves this place! Very good horchata (haven't had an issue with flavor or consistency) and their food is delicious!
We love to come here on Tuesday (kids eat free after 3PM) for small family get togethers and have always had good service and delicious food!
Parking is plenty and easy, with almost no wait time to be seated!
I recommend the horchata, and any of their quesadillas.Helpful 1Thanks 1Love this 1Oh no 0 - Feb 3, 20241 check-in
TexMex glory in a simple Mexican cafe. Hot, fresh, great menu, large portions, what's not to like. Super fast kitchen turnaround. The guac starter was a generous portion. I had an enchilada combo plate and hubby had enchiladas + tamale. First plate taco was huge! Excellent chili sauce on the enchiladas. Right proper amount of chili powder, cumin and ancho plus spices. Tamale was super stuffed with meat. Great service! You can't go wrong if your taste buds are screaming, TexMex!

This has become our staple Mexican food joint in the north Austin area. Unfortunately there are not many near authentic places beyond the downtown and Lamar areas other than taco food trucks and this restaurant never disappoints us . Our usual is the Chile Relleno, verde enchiladas and tacos. The chips are usually warm and fresh and the salsa hits the spot every time . Their margaritas are good and strong, especially the top shelf ones . The chipotle sauce is smoky, had the right spice and always cooked well. We tried the barbacoa and chicken taco - definitely recommend the barbacoa one . Overall great food+drinks and good ambiance for the right price without a huge wait , definitely a win.

Food: this is the most authentic Mexican food I've had here in Austin! Absolutely delicious food!
Drinks: full bar with great mixed drinks

I love this restaurant. Food is always delicious, staff is friendly, drinks are strong. Guacamole is bland...seems to be just crushed avocado with lime juice...so I add salsa to it. It's priced right around what every other Mexican restaurants are charging these days..I did realize about a year ago they removed the options to order half of nacho platter & quesadillas. I think they should bring that option back. They also have a lunch special.
