I like it "okay." The vibe is pretty chill. The crowd friendly. The live music is pretty good, BUT
...the cover charges are outrageous. 15 bucks on a Thursday night because a band is coming in from D.F. Well, that band didn't show up until 12:30pm. Sort of not worth it.
Also, once they fleece you at the front door, they have the nerve to charge 5 bucks for water. Trust me, after all that dancing, you need the water.
Here's the thing that really got the star count to come down: they won't give you more than one drink of tap water. Yep. They are forcing you to buy 5 dollar water. I think that's pretty lame. It may even be illegal. In a hot club like that, with everyone dancing to the point of sweat cleavage, they really shouldn't refuse to give someone water.
Also, I have only gone twice and the crowds have been sparse. I think the high prices are keeping folks away. Lesson to be learned?Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 5Oh no 0 - got s.Huntington Beach, CA036Apr 22, 2013
This place totally SUCKS! This place is under new ownership again. This guy is the worst. The owner (who keeps telling me he is "just an employee", has been giving my friend all her drinks for free every time I go with her. Well, tonight, I had had enough and refused to pay for my $5 bottle of water & told the owner (who tells me is "just an employee") "No, I am not paying, because my friend NEVER pays." Long story short, he "shook" my friend down for the $5 before we left. This place will not last very much longer if this is how he conducts his business. Oh, and the dress code has gone down too. Tonight I saw tennis shoes & baseball caps. This is in a place that has the nerve to charge $5 for a bottle of grocery brand water. Really?
OHHHHH - and folks, take care with your drinks. All night I saw the bar tender (who is really the owner, who keeps telling me his is "just an employee", using the glasses he was serving the drinks in to SCOOP UP THE ICE. I do not believe his is charging extra for the glass shards in you drinks.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Emma C.Costa Mesa, CA14Dec 31, 2008First to Review
I am reviewing the club part of El Conejo Feliz. This is a great spot if you like to dance to cumbia, salsa and merengue. Their live band California Show is great. I would recommend going on a Sunday or other off-night because Friday and Saturday get very crowded. I once lost a toe nail on the dance floor when this woman stepped on my foot. It was bleeding all over the place. But I kept dancing because THIS CLUB ROCKS!

Sorry I did not connect with this place. I had one spoonful of menudo and asked for a refund. They said "Everybody else likes it"

$15 bucks cover charge for this place is wayyy too much. The cumbia bands are not so good, and drinks are not so good too. They only play cumbias here, it would be nice if they played other latin music. The ladies bathroom has no doors or curtains, so i walked in and a lady was sitting on the throne. You would think they would at least have some doors for privacy, geesh. Its like going to a third world nightclub.

Save your money for a different club! This club has changed so much after changing ownerships. This club was the bomb with prior ownership in the mid 90's. The DJ's they have now are not worth my time. The live in house is band is ok but I would rather go to El Calor night club as a last resort. Sorry Conejo Feliz you cannot beat the 90s!!!

Went here for family event. Food was excellent and service was very good as well. I recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting good mexican food. Very traditional.

have been to this club a lot of times friday saturday and sunday dj mike rocks one off the best dj in orange have been through a lot of clubs and trust me its hard to find a good dj. it does get really crowded saturday but worth going i rather go to a crowded place that end up in a club where there is only a couple of people. the live band plays great and the best thing i like its that the dj plays everything even rock en espanol, regetton, and sometimes ranchera its a great place i highly recommend this place specially if ur a sonidero person u know cumbia sonidera and merengue salsa u would love this place and dj mike....
