El Monte

The food they gave us was from the microwave. The food didn't have any flavor. This was the worst mexican food I've ever had. Such a disappointment.

I discovered this place online and decided to give it a try. I'm so glad I did! The food, especially the shredded beef enchiladas and tacos, is amazing. The customer service is also excellent. I'll definitely be back again and highly recommend it to others.

The food is great! the service awesome and the ambiance is very friendly feeling there's just something about country music playing and having some Mexican food!

Located in a historical building in Downtown Reedley, El Monte restaurant has charm, reasonable prices and a relaxed atmosphere. Sit at a booth, order a cold one and check out the menu. You might not see as many options as other places, but the recipes were created by the owners and they do hit the spot. No meatless options in the menu, as the sauce used on some meals contains beef. Food is average and portion sizes are generous. Kids meals available. Indoor seating only. Staff is very polite and responsive. The waiter checked on me several times and when I ordered coffee, they made some fresh for me.

Don't expect flat screen TVs, or WiFi. This kind of setup allows you to focus on people. So, bring some friends with you, and spend some quality time if you happen to be in the area.

I had half "La Lita": rice and beans covered by a crisp corn tortilla, topped with chili verde sauce, plenty of cheese, tomatoes and salad!

Come hungry! I love eating at El Monte because I know I'm going to be served quality food and experience excellent customer service. Everything that I've ordered has been delicious! The prices considering the size of the portions are also an excellent value - some of the best here in Reedley.

The restaurant is small, but maintained very well. The tables and booths are always clean, and service is always delivered with a smile. The restaurant is located in a historic building, which I feel adds to it's unique, rustic flair.

There is a banquet room for larger groups. This is a great place to eat if you're a Tex-Mex connoisseur!

I work for Fresno County but I'm in Reedley 4 days a week. I found this place here on Yelp and thought I'd give it a try. It's tucked away on a street corner. I ordered one of the $7.50 brown bag specials: 2 tacos, chips, salsa, and a drink. It was ready in less than 5 minutes.

Everything was delicious! The 2 tacos were huge and filling. I'll be back to try more.

Used to be my favorite place for 20 plus years but food is getting sloppy, not taking the time to make a great place of food like they used to make

Favorite since I was a kid! Always good food and quick. Although, they haven't been open as much lately.

Their Food is awsome but their Hours are horrible; ESPECIALLY for people who get out late from work. I wish that they would stay open until 8pm/9pm that would make everyone happy ESPECIALLY me!

Amazing place that's hidden in Reedley, you can't see it from the Main Streets of downtown, a must if you're looking for that authentic Mexican fix.
The entire staff is wonderful and the seating is comfortable with nice sim country music.
