Really enjoyed their horchata latte with oatmilk!! Has great taste and always prefer to support a small business over the big chain companies.
Will definitely be back to try more of their flavors.
He was very friendly and quick at making the drinks.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 31763245058Nov 13, 2022
A great coffee shop with delicious coffee, great service and plenty of room to work on your stuff (or just chat... I guess).
The moment I walked in I got a different vibe from this place but in a great way! The server is super friendly and helpful with any questions you might have. Once I ordered my ice latte (I know I'm basic) it came out pretty quickly. The quality of the coffee is top notch! I've also ordered their ice tea which was pretty refreshing.
Definitely a place I'd return to anytime I'm in the area. Parking can be a bit tight as it's shared by many businesses. It's located in the back and if you blink you'd miss it. There's also street parking but I've been able to find parking in the back whenever I've visited.
It's a nice spot to relax with friends and chat and/or do some work/reading. One thing is it can get a little hot for my preference but besides that I've got no complaints.
Definitely worth checking out!Helpful 17Thanks 0Love this 17Oh no 0 - May 16, 2022
I am all about Latinx owned coffee shops in LA. This is a spacious shop located in South Gate. I came in to study with a friend at around 10:30 am on a Saturday. The wifi worked perfect, great lighting. And I loved the mural! They close at about 10 pm on weekends so this was a excellent spot to study for our PhD/ med school classes! Sidenote: Some local vendors were selling food outside that looked really good!
Drink run down:
It was a hot day so w e both decided to get blended cold drinks. I got the horchata frap and my friend ordered the horchata latte. The drinks were refreshing and just the right amount of sweetness. Coffee was very strong and got us through our study sesh!
Pros: good wifi, spacious, Latino owned, horchata drinks.
Room for improvement: a bit stuffy and warm inside. Parking (but you can park at north gate market across street).Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Sep 11, 2022
Authentic coffee! I absolutely loved this coffee shop. The Latin American culture is very prevalent and I think they do a great job of representing each country, with the different coffee bags from each country, supporting small coffee bean farms out there. It's great. And the taste is even better! I ordered a dulce de leche latte with oatmilk. It was too good, I wanted another! It was sweet but not in an overpowering way, it was just right. I will definitely be back! However, not to study. I brought my laptop and such but found there weren't any outlets. But it would be a good place to do some reading or to just sit for a bit. All in all, everyone should experience this place!

I came in here based on the reviews but was disappointed. At first I thought they were closed bc there was damage to a window, but was able to walk in and order. Maybe an 'open' sign would help. Only one choice of alternative milk: oat, and they don't have whipped cream. Picky, I know, but if I'm gonna drop $5+ dollars on a coffee, well, at least have the basics.
Employee was friendly, the murals are cool, they even have Yalitza hanging on the wall, but the bathroom was a bit of a clutter. Maybe Covid hit them hard? I don't know. Here's to hoping things change.
Parking is also a bit challenging.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

Hello.
Thank you for your review!
We hear you on the window. It recently happened and we’re waiting on repairs. Not much we can instantly do about graffiti etched into the glass :(
We only offer oat milk because it pairs best with coffee, it’s easier to steam, it’s not just water and sugar (almond milk) and it’s way better for California’s environment.
We agree on the restroom clutter. We used covid as an opportunity to remodel. Sorry about that.
Hope we can make your next visit better! - Anna P.Beverly Hills, CA32244426302Aug 4, 2021
My experience today was like wine tasting replaced with coffee. What an adventure!! I had a great time learning the history of the business and the back-end roasting process. I learned that the lighter the roast, the more caffeine there is. And the darker the roast the less caffeine and more oil the bean will produce. This coffee shop has imported beans from different countries and was able to do a small tasting/cupping from three different types of coffee. Also the walk through roasting process was my favorite, learning the history of how this special coffee boutique started from ground up was really fascinating.
Brazil- my personal favorite for expresso, both cold and hot it tasted less potent than El Salvador and Honduras coffee.
El Salvador- has a sweet potent acidic taste. The strongest taste out the 3.
Honduras- more of a sour acidic potent taste, quite different. I personally like this better hot than cold.
I can't wait to taste the new Costa Rica imported beans, I bet this will be bomb.Helpful 26Thanks 0Love this 19Oh no 0 - Ariana P.Inglewood, CA01535Aug 23, 2022
LA is filled with thousands of cafes, but this is my favorite for many reasons. The art on the walls, the menu selection and the LAVENDER LEMONADE. My brother and I are obsessed with this lemonade, we have to stop by every time we're in the South Gate area. Aside from the refreshing lemonades, the coffee is just, *chef's kiss*! My personal favorite is the Cafe de Cuba, because of it's unique taste.

Cool little spot, great atmosphere, classy design in the inside with awesome Latin American decor. Mocha mexicano is good, mazapán frappe is delicious and cafe de Hoya is the best and my all time favorite. Only downside is they close early on Fridays.

This place is in a perfect location and is not hosting pop up food vendors (locals supporting locals). The coffee of course never disappoints, I have tried the seasonal drinks as well as the daily specialty drinks and it is so tasty. This last time we were actually greeted and got our order taken by the owner who always so cheerful. This place is a must try
