El Churrito Rojas

Had a crave for some churros and was in the Bridgeport neighborhood. Glad there is a dependable place for it. Plenty of flavors to choose from and I decided to try ELotes (cup of corn with butter and cheese). If I had a choice between those two churros is king.

Elotes was on the menu but there were no prices shown.

Plenty of metered parking.

I paid $7 for a TINY cup of "fresas con crema" ....... they gave me a cup with strawberries topped with canned whipped cream and a scoop of what seems like custard...pudding....??? Never coming back here. This is not fresas con crema lol. I could get the real deal for cheaper and more of it at michoacana.

Really nice and delicious. I definitely want to try more from this shop. The lady up front was very nice too.

Food was not tasty to me. What a waste of money. No authenticity whatsoever. The seasoning was horrible and then the price was ridiculous. Not sure if the owners are of Hispanic origin because this food is sooooo bland.

Amazing churros my daughter and I have found a new spot to have our daddy daughter dates, We love it.

Went there for Mangonada. And had that and churros and elote. I've only had mangonada in California so I was hesitant to try. But this beat my expectations! Sooo freakin good! I know I'm gonna be a regular here now.

Beyond grateful to el Churrito for fulfilling a major mangonada craving today!!! Ordered via grubhub and it came perfectly sealed in a bag and perfectly made :) so tasty and filled with fresh mango. The straw was a super fun touch, and I can't wait to go here in person once all of this is over! A great combo of spicy and sweet, and very high quality. Check it out!!!

Reviewing this place on their churros alone.
After having dinner a block away, felt like ending the night with something sweet, so my husband and godson stopped by for some churros, and now I want to go back daily.
I tried the cajeta filling which was beyond amazing, my godson had a chocolate one, which he ate in less than a minute.

I'll judge a place hardcore on their tamales. I'm taking a break from my diet, so I wanted to try this place and their tamales while I could.

In short, the tamales were big, with a lot of filling, but normal amounts of meat. They don't cheat you on the meat, but there was a lot of masa without anything, salsa included. Still delicious though. And you can buy them individually, which is nice.

Got a milkshake too, and that was good. You can take ice cream flavors and turn them into a shake, which I did with cookies and creme.

I probably can't return here anytime soon due to returning to my diet, but I could definitely recommend this place to others.
