When a stormy Taco Tuesday is also your BIRTHDAY, how else to celebrate than by trying a new local spot!
Such a great little gem in Drexel Hill. Colorful and flavorful would be how I describe the decor and the food.
What I ate:
Tacos De Asada (3) - Grilled steak, Cilantro, Radish, Cooked Scallion, & Salsa (the brown salsa is indescribably delicious. It has a smoky, spicy flare)
I usually eat steak medium and didn't ask for it to be prepared that way, so it was well done and not to my liking. However, it was very tasty.
Al Pastor Buritto - Spicy Marinated Pork w/Pineapple, Flour Tortilla, Lettuce, Pico de Gallo, Refried Beans, Rice, Sour Cream & Cheese.
I'm smiling as I write this because this was the highlight! I was instantly punched in the taste buds, in a fantastic way lol.
I texted a friend that lives in Drexel Hill while I was eating and said if he hadn't been to El Buen Sazon he had to go. Not only does he order from them once a month, he said he told me about them awhile ago. Lol I guess things truly happen when they're supposed to.
Great service, great food, BYOB, street parking out front and there's a parking lot entrance on the block.
I highly recommend you visit!!!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1 - Hello K.Fort Wainwright, Fort Wainwright, AK0165Apr 20, 2024

I stop in this local spot for some good Mexican food and I was not disappointed. The meal came quick and the portion was huge. I took half the food home.
The waitress was very nice and also worked the counter.
I'll be back for both eat in and take out.Helpful 5Thanks 0Love this 4Oh no 0 - Myles A.Media, PA0244Mar 22, 2024
Even if the food made me poop gold, I still wouldn't be happy paying those prices. For 1 order of guacamole, 2 burritos and 1 order of tacos (comes with three. $80!!!!!! Enough said. Take the money and go sit down at nice restaurant and get served at least.

I really wanted to like this place but after I ordered and spoke to the staff I'll go back to try their Guatemalan fare, which is what they really ate. This day I went for tacos. Asada was dry and crunchy but the Al pastor was decent portions are big and price is a bit high.they gave me enough sauces but the green one was frozen... weird. I'm on the fence here so I'll be back and give them another shot but this day the tacos lacked. Rice was ok.

Have tried this a few times, delicious burritos and tacos. A small business where it may take a little longer to get your meal but it's worth it.
We just tried these on a recent night for pickup:
Chorizo Burrito: Delicious cheese, good chorizo.
Tacos Campechanas: Mixed meat tacos with radishes, cilantro and scallions. Steak and pork. Really good.
Salsa verde and roja on the side to go. The roja was dark roasted. Both were tasty.
Dine-in: Yes, available.
Parking: Spots on Garrett Road out front.
SEPTA: Close to the 101 and 102 trolleys.
Service: Friendly. They requested 35 minutes on a busy Friday night and food was ready when I arrived.
Return: Yes. My wife really, really likes their cheese.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1 - Hank M.Baltimore, MD7224Sep 11, 2023
I ordered the chips and guacamole, steak tacos and the fish platter with rice beans and vegetables. I loved everything.

The good: The sauces were tasty. They don't skimp on the cheese.
The bad: Expensive.
The ugly: Everything else!!
I'm astounded how this place has such a high rating. The food has no flavor! I paid nearly 40 bucks for literal garbage. Their burritos are flavorless blobs of white rice. Their quesadillas don't resemble a quesadilla in the slightest and also lack flavor. So, so disappointed! Wanted to love this place.Helpful 13Thanks 0Love this 7Oh no 0 - Tyrina B.Swarthmore, PA061Mar 17, 2023
The food was not good - meat full of gristle - no tortillas until I paid for them on the side - charged $6 for 3 sides of sour cream (which I ordered but watered it down - literally not sour cream - watery liquid)- charted $4 for pico de gallo charged me for $3 side of jalapeños & wanted to charge me for side of lettuce which I turned down - so when you order fajitas, how do you eat them without fixings &
everything charged a la carte - $18.99 was over $50 delivered . . . Insane . . . Very disappointing . . .Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
