Edgar's Italian Restaurant

I came to Edgar's Italian Restaurant for my males co workers birthday as this is his favorite spot in Madera. We placed our order early so when we get there our food would be ready.

I really love this place as it appears to be one of the hidden gems in Madera. The table layout was so beautiful however the water was disgusting as it tasted like it had nothing but chemicals in it which is probably just pure tap water so gross even the lemon I requested could not help it.

Anywho, the bread was so delicious as it was toasted on the outside and soft on the middle. I never ate so much bread in my life as I am not a huge bread person at all. But I killed it!

For starters we had the choice of Salad or soup and I selected a salad with no dressing as I don't like dressing at all on my salads just fresh lemon squeezed over it.

About 10 minutes in our food was served. I got the Pasta Premivera which was made with fresh seasonal vegetables which is the main reason I got it as it had a lot of veggies.

The pasta and Alfredo sauce was delicious and it only cost 8.95 for the meal which you can't beat at all!!! They have a bar section which unfortunately due to being in the county there is zero alcohol consumption on the job so we didn't get to try out the alcoholic drinks.

We all enjoyed ourselves and I happy to find another new place to have lunch at in Madera. If you ever find yourself craving pasta in the afternoon come to Edgar's you won't be disappointed at all!

Wow, how I missed this place. I used to visit for lunch with coworkers but have not visited in a couple of years. Casual dress yet nice enough for a date night. The food is delicious, my family all enjoyed their meals. The bread with butter and a a little oil on the side pairs nicely with every dish. I also recommend the pasta fagioli, salad with the peppercorn dressing as well. Prices are in line and somewhat more affordable than most dine in restaurants.

Customer service is honestly always bad but I like to come here for the food. If you can ignore them and go for the food I suggest you do that! Food is great!

Really don't want to leave no stars , however you have to in order to leave a review . 1Clue it was completely empty too dark inside . It's a Wednesday happy hour time 5:45 pm 2. Clue the tables in bar area all of them were dirty with old food crumbs , sticking spots from drink 3.Clue the margaritas class my sister drink was in , had an object on glass and rim was still covered with something . (with it being so dark in there) it was highly visible , so to make sure the Hostess could see it she used flash light from phone . Also same hostess ( it just her and the cook ) my sister asked it this color salt she lied said it colored salt not true ( only in on spot on rim )the costumer service she gave was cold and she acted as if she didn't want us there . We left because with all those RedFlags I'm sure my food would have been a disaster or better yet have something in it that wasn't apart of the Dish . I say throw the whole place away ASAP I really don't know how they're still open ? Especially when everything was closed down for a year and is not likes people are running and beating the doors down to get in , oops I forgot they did get PPE business loans so maybe that's how they're staying afloat , but shut it down .Lastly they are not Italian perhaps Hispanic . don't understand or speak a lick of English hello I just feel like if you're running any type of business in this country you live in & theprimary language ENGLISH primary keyword I think you need to be able to speak and understand enough English so when your customers come in and ask for something you understand what they want and you can respond accordingly.

Excellent food good atmosphere highly recommend chicken Parmesan was spot on pizza is good

Stopped here for lunch while passing thru.
It was a good price my bill was $10.00 and considering that's what Carl's Jr runs for lunch I would say this is a way better bargain!
I had the chicken marsala. The sauce was tasty and the chicken wasn't chewy or dry. It was a large portion and after having soup I could only get thru half. Came out piping hot. I think the mushrooms were canned. I liked the pasta fagol soup it was yummy. The bread they served was kind of like a crouton and crumbly not sure if it may have just got a bit over cooked or if that's on purpose.
Anyway I would go back if I was around there but next time I may try something different not because mine was bad but out of curiosity.

I love the food here! Doesn't look like much when you first arrive, but looks can be deceiving. Customer service isn't great, but the food makes up for it!

I am at owner of a business here in Madera Edgar is a very good restaurant to go for the value and great tasting food ambience is good service is good and a great selection of food give it a try people

Delicious,creative Italian food! What a great treat when we visit family In Madera. I had salmon Italian style.

I use to love going to Edgar's, their food was spot on all the time, but lately they lost touch to their food, I ordered a chicken Parmesan, my usual, and it had no flavor at all, there was hardly any sauce and I had to add salt and pepper when I got home just to eat it, because it was so bland, my husband ordered a shrimp and scallop pasta and his pasta didn't even have scallops in it, or spinach and that's what he had asked for over the phone, and he also had to add salt and pepper once getting home. The owners are rude as well, terrible customer service. Last time we ever go here, it just gets worse as we continue going, might as well save our money for better tasting Italian food.
