I came here for three years and while I was never amazed by the quality of service and know the prices are very high, kept coming because this is the most convenient dry cleaner to my apartment building.
But last month I brought in a brand new cashmere sweater that I'd only worn a few times. When I picked it up again it was ruined - covered in yellow spots. I brought it back and they said they'd fix it, but when I returned it was just as bad as it had been a few weeks ago. This was all bad enough but they were incredibly rude and they blamed me for bringing it in stained, despite the fact that I had photos of me wearing it with no stains on it the day before I initially dropped it off.
They kept saying it was my fault and refused to pay any sort of restitution. I now have a $200 brand new cashmere sweater that is completely ruined and am fairly heartbroken. I'll never come here again, and will be sure to tell others the same.
I rarely leave reviews online but I feel compelled to now so that no one else has a similar experience.Helpful 5Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Elizabeth J.Oakland Park, FL093Jun 4, 2019
I would like to compliment Dupont Court cleaners for getting an impossible set of stains off white cotton dress pants. I pretty much guaranteed not getting them clean by myself when I tossed them in a sink full of soapy water. I was not thinking that water might set the stains permanently. They had gotten spray tanning oil on them in my suitcase.
The ladies there said they would do their very best, but these had large yellow stains with a little green in the middle, up and down the back of the pants.
When I picked them up today the stains were nearly invisible!
The ladies weren't entirely satisfied, but I was, considering how bad they had been. Their prices are very reasonable. I will make sure to always use them in the future.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - May 10, 2014
Their seamstress is an absolute miracle worker!
To give you some background, We had all ordered bridesmaids dresses from China cause they were cheap but they only came in a size 4. Everyone else was already a 4 but I'm a size 8, 6 on good days and if I didn't eat dinner the night before lol.
Anyways it's always easier to get a dress taken in than let out cause you can't make extra cloth magically appear....but they did. They some how were able to find extra cloth from within the dress and made it into a size 6 dress! All with no visible signs or even seams! They literally made 4 inches of material appear and I was able to zip up my dress! All for under 70 dollars and they were able to turn it around in a week. Amazing.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Romina K.New York, NY18871Oct 27, 2017
Unless your clothes cost $5 and you don't care about them at all, DO NOT COME HERE!!! I brought in a $600 vintage gold lace Dolce & Gabbana dress with tags (that I had gotten in the mail the day before, never worn!!) for a fast alteration on the sides and when I picked it up the leather belt was all torn. I brought it back, so they could try to fix it.
The tearing of a gorgeous dress like that is one kind of offense against humanity but the way they treated me was beyond rude, it was simply heartless. I was almost crying and all they did was scream at me how the fabric was bad and how they didn't do it. They slapped on some glue to patch up the damage (very messily done with no attention to detail). NOT ONCE DID THEY APOLOGIZE for destroying my dress and fucking up my night but instead they screamed and laughed at me. Needless to say, I will get the charge disputed with my credit card company but neither the treatment of such a beautiful garment, not the way they insulted me is acceptable.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Maya H.San Gabriel, CA404272Nov 8, 2020
I took in a couple of my dad's dress shirt in for some dry cleaning. It was my first time here and I was really impressed with the job and the service. my dad's dress shirts came out pristine. I was worried that it would come back damaged or even discolored, but it came out as good as new. The wrinkles were gone and it looked even cleaner than the first time I bought it. Another bonus: they were very safe in which they practiced social distancing and enforced it in the store too. It's relieving to know that you're walking into an establishment that cares for the safety of others and their workers. I would defenitely come back here again

I have been coming here for years. They have very good dry cleaning services at reasonable prices. The only reason I didn't give them five stars was because of the moldy smell that permeates the building (it's located in the lower level, so there may be flooding). I will keep coming back, regardless. Very nice ladies!

From a container marked "summer clothes" I fished out a melon colored dress I hadn't seen since moving from San Francisco to Washington, D.C. Then I remembered why it hadn't been worn in ages; it had a broken strap.
I took it over to Dupont Court Cleaners at once and explained that I wanted to wear it to a rooftop soiree I was due at that evening. For a whopping $4 they fixed my frock and had it ready for me by 3:00 that afternoon.Helpful 13Thanks 0Love this 6Oh no 0 - Lily B.New York, NY120464564Jul 9, 2013
Love it. The service is inexpensive, and I haven't had any issues. The store is discreetly located in the basement of a nondescript building on a quiet street. It's small inside; but who cares when it's just a dry cleaning place.
To get a dress cleaned it's only $8.95, and a regular jacked $6.75. Once I included a medium-sleeved shirt that apparently had to be dry cleaned, and when I picked it up I realized on my bill that they had actually reduced the price from the one originally shown on my ticket. Someone probably realized it didn't belong to the "blouse" category but rather the "tshirt" one. I appreciated the honesty and integrity.
A pair of dress pants cost $4.95 and a woolen scarf $4.75. I'll make this place my go-to dry cleaner's from now on although it's a bit of a walk from me.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Nov 10, 2012
Cheap, fast, mostly reliable dry cleaning. I brought a suit, a blouse and a skirt here, and everything turned out mostly fine.
I asked for the skirt to be dry cleaned inside out, because that's what the label says. They ended up cleaning and pressing the outside anyway, which thankfully only stretched the skirt out a little bit, but I would not bring anything here that you are worried about damaging.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - 49456765Dec 7, 2007First to Review
Great dry cleaners/alterations. I dry clean a lot of my clothing and I have nothing but great things to say about this cleaner. My clothes always come back in a timely manner, in great condition, and without that funny chemical smell some cleaners leave. I also really like the fact that they don't print any identifying letters into the collar of my dress shirts. It drives me nuts when a dry cleaner does so.
As for alterations, Joon does an amazing job. I have taken in my designer cashmere coats, my suits, and even jeans with nothing but great results in the end. The prices are very reasonable and the staff (albiet Joon and one other lady) is very friendly. If only they were open Sundays...Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0
