Dukes-Bar-B-Que features delicious Southern cooking and an all-you-can-eat barbeque buffet. All of our barbeque is smoked with hickory wood and cooked to perfection. At Dukes, we take great pride in offering not only great barbeque but also a variety of vegetables and sides. We feel that it is important to have a large selection so that everyone can have a healthy and nutritious meal. Most of our menu items are cooked from scratch, and everything is made fresh in order to enhance the quality of each plate served. We pride ourselves on being able to offer not only quality barbeque, but we do our best to deliver your meal as quickly as possible. We thank the community for allowing us to serve them. Our customers are like family, and we do our best to make each person feel welcome.

Food is just as good as I remember.
Staff is keeping the restaurant as clean as they can with the number of people coming through the door.
It will take a few weeks for patronage to level off and things to get to a new normal.Helpful 1Thanks 1Love this 1Oh no 0Jan 17, 2024Previous reviewFirst day open since rebuilding. They have a separate take out entrance now.
I ordered my usual corn fritters and squash casserole. I added fried chicken all dark meat to round it off.
Service was outstanding with just a short 15-minute wait. Wait times will most likely decrease as this is the first day open.
They have indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor seating has heaters. If you are having a party, you can reserve the party/banquet room.
As expected, the food is excellent.
They are still getting their supply chain going smoothly. Currently, they do not have corn fritters. As soon as supplies are available, they will be back on the menu.
If you are dining in, try to get there during the slack time or get there before opening.
I will be back.
They now have a salad buffet. You can now get just the salad buffet or regular buffet.Jan 13, 2024Previous reviewExciting news.
Grand reopening is set for 17 Jan 2024.

This is the first time I've experienced a restaurant like Duke's Bar-B-Que. This South Carolina joint is truly an experience. It felt like a fancy school cafeteria. If you want something fancy, this place is not for you; this is for families and friends.
Duke's had so much food I couldn't try it all. The rice and hash were an exciting blend, but not for me. The bone-in wings, pulled pork, and ribs were delicious. Everyone was raving about the peach cobbler, but I got none. The cookies and cream mixed with ice cream were perfect.
It was a self-service style establishment, but the employees were quickly rotating out new trays of food.
Dukes was an experience that I hope to return to one day.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Feb 23, 2024
I've waited a while for this place to reopen. I finally made it today and was happy I did. The food is delicious and it is a self serve Buffett. The build has a lot of indoor and screen porch seating. There is plenty of parking. There are a lot of sides available.

This place just reopened after a long rebuild due to fire. It was very nice inside with large seating areas and a patio seating area. There was live music when we went on a Thursday. The buffet area was clean and well organized. The smoked pork was pretty good but the hash is not like it was before the fire. The large assortment of vegetables was just ok with some of them being pretty bland. The BBQ chicken was dry with very little flavor. The fried chicken was pretty good. There were no hush puppies which was very disappointing. One the wait staff said they were still trying to figure out how to use the hush puppy machine. They need to work on getting tables wiped off more quickly as we had to wipe our own table before we sat down. We were left disappointed due to the lack of flavor and the fact that it was kind of pricey for what we got.

We finally made it to "DUKES BBQ" today, and we found it to be very good. The Ribs were meaty and tasty, some of the best fried chicken I have ever had. They had a plethora of sides to choose from, that were all fresh and flavorful! The BBQ SAUCES were all delicious... We enjoyed our visit and will be back. The prices were incredibly cheap.
Keep in mind, it's not Texas BBQ.This place is no Terry Black , Hutchins , Pecan lodge or Hard 8, all in Texas, but was very good!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Marjorie S.Aiken, SC145920Mar 7, 2024
As everyone else in Aiken, we couldn't wait to try Duke's BBQ again after such a long closure. It's a nice new building with plenty of seating and an enclosed porch to sit outside. The barbecue pulled pork was good as I recall, but the BBQ chicken was dry and way overcooked. The ribs were very tough and the home made chips had so much salt on them, that for me, were inedible. Some of the sauces are definitely not the same. The custard machine was not working and the chocolate eclare pudding in the desserts wasn't made this trip. So many of our favorites that we looked forward to enjoying were not there. So, we may go again, but definitely not the same as before.

A home town favorite for years! Love the hash and rice and the multiple choices of vegetables. Great fried and barbecued chicken as well as pork.

Disappointing that they couldnt get their only bbq meat right. It was somewhat warm to the touch but when you bit into it the meat was still cold in the middle. But their fried chicken was good! Their veggies were just ok. Dessets- eat at your own risk. Still a cool experience if you are looking for a small country bbq place.
