Q:
How are those chicken fingers though?
A:
I've only tried the wings and corndogs which were great. Good amount of meat on the wings and everything. Next time I stop by I'll give the fingers a go.

Food was top notch. I had the upside down pesto salad and my daughter had a quesadilla. So fresh and delicious. The service was quick and the staff extremely friendly!!!

Dub's Pub is located in the atmospheric, somewhat dark and spooky, area just south of the Savannah River, beside Factor's Walk. The interior is similarly dark and a bit spooky, with exposed brick, dark wood furniture, and pub-like vibe. However, this spooky spot is incongruously crossed with a sports bar! While I'm sure that many would disagree, I found that the sports bar vibe detracted from the ambiance of the pub. Perhaps fewer screens in certain areas of the pub would preserve that atmosphere a little better. We ended up going here twice, on two separate days, during our exploration of River Street. Service was friendly and courteous, and our kind server advised us on some local attractions that should not be missed.
The first time, we were just here for a drink. I was hoping for a glass of wine, but the waitress was unable to tell me anything about their few wines. "We're not really known for our wines," she remarked, "Maybe take a look at the cocktail menu." That proved to be a good recommendation, so we ordered their twist on Mules, and the cocktails were tasty enough that we returned a second time. That time, we did order some food, along with the trusty Mules. We had a nacho-inspired plate of house-made potato chips, topped with blue cheese, bacon bits and buffalo sauce. Wow, this was an inspired combination and creative use of chips! I'm going to try this myself.
Despite the annoying sports screens, I couldn't help but think that this would be an awesome place for a Halloween event, and a perfect setting for a Haunted Pub film. What it is NOT is a wine bar! The pub was nearly empty each time we were there (mid-afternoon), so seating was no problem. I imagine it gets busy at peak hours, when an affordable pub with ample seating in the River Street district is likely to draw greater numbers.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jean B.Miami, FL23563Feb 17, 2024
The food here was excellent. I had the pimento cheeseburger it was perfect. We also ordered the pesto chicken salad.
The server seemed a little rushed, but was okay.
A lot of tvs if you want to watch sports.
Over all I would recommendHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jan 15, 2024
We actually visited Dub's twice on our visit to Savannah. Our first time was on a Friday night. We got in to town late ....and not many places serving food were open. We found Dub's right along the river and took seats at the bar. I wanted a cold beer; bur they were out of many draughts on their list. I had wanted a local beer; but settled on a Cold Snap. My husband ordered a stout. We also ordered a barbecue chicken flatbread on the bartenders recommendation. It was pretty good, and not too expensive.
We ended up back at Dub's Saturday night because we wanted to watch NFL playoffs and after trying about 5 places; Dub's was the only bar we could find. This time they were out of Cold Snap in addition to several other beers. We were with a big group and just drinking. I had a Blue Moon and then something similar to a Dark & Stormy. (That was really good!)
Overall service was o.k; so a great place to hang and drink and watch the games without breaking the bank.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jan 3, 2024
After a rainy walk on River Street we needed somewhere easy to eat and were lucky enough to find Dub's. The interior is sports bar meets Irish pub with lots of brick and wood. Staff was berfriendly and we were seated immediately.
We ordered a pimento cheeseburger, carnitas bowl (on the specials menu) and the chicken finger basket. Everything was actually very good. The burger was large and seasoned well with a generous portion of yummy pimento cheese. I ordered the pasta salad as a side and it was equally as good. The carnitas bowl was loaded ingredients and very flavorful. Even the chicken tenders were nice sized and tasted great. We asked for both the peach honey mustard and jalapeño ranch dipping sauces and you should too.
Three entrees and three drinks was only $58 so this is a great place to come for an good meal that won't break the bank.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jan 23, 2024

Great food ..... The only issue I had was they wouldn't serve people in their 60's because they did not have ID with them.
May not be their fault, but it is blatant disrespect. So much for southern hospitality.
If I owned the place I would have served them just to prove a point. Just saying.!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Shirley R.Houston, TX5977860Mar 17, 2024
can i give it a zero? there were two hostess both left to "check" on a table for the group in front of us and never came back. We left and saw one of them outside on her phone. Unacceptable.

Dub's looked like a good place to order some food and drink while watching a football game. But after I went in with my friend and parked myself at a table in front of the big screen TV, the server completely ignored us. There were only two other tables with people who were about to leave. When they left, their tables were cleaned, and the server wouldn't even look in my direction. After 20 minutes, we left. Apparently, Dub's has some type of criteria when deciding who to serve, and we did not fit. First time this has ever happened to me. There are plenty of welcoming places to eat on the Savannah riverfront. Avoid Dub's.

I hope the owner/mgmt reads this. Your a Sports Bar. All the TVs should be on. It should be the first thing the Bartender/Mgr does when opening up. We got there at 4:30. Only 1 TV was on inside the bar area. They have 4. Had to tell the Bartender to turn them on. She did and I got the golf channel on. Food was great. Had 6 Carolina wings to start with a side of their xtra hot sauce. Very good. I got the Dubs Burger and my wife got the Pimento Cheese burger with sides of coleslaw. Every thing was great
Please! Act like a Sports BarHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Sep 10, 2023
This is a laid back place that has several rooms , bar in middle, ALOT of TV's and the food is good-I had the fried corn on the cob in the chicken wings with chipotle, barbecue sauce, and it was a great experience. You should definitely try this place out if you're in Savannah!! They do allow dogs so hopefully the stupid barking dog that the grizzled locals brought in won't be there - actually more of a annoying Yelp-!
