What a fantastic group of people running this place. My family member is going on two years here and loves it. This independent Apartment is great with many floor options to choose but get on that waiting list fast!!!!. Option to cook in your apartment or go to the dining room where there are fantastic meals cooked by a large staff. If your not feeling well they send the food up to your apartment. You can use Save Mor Pharmacy (free drop off service) that delivers meds to the front desk for you. There is an independent MD that comes to Drum Hill for home visits and independent foot MD that does the same. Resident's Bus that takes you shopping, to down town activities, ect. Beauty Parlor on the premises. Activities coordinator does a lot of fun stuff all year long. Many activities to attended in house such as parties, gym, reading club in the Pent House level, and card games. Penthouse has outdoor space to take in the sights. Many places to sit to take in the breeze. Side courtyard is lovely. Drum Hill is next to a new Middle School. This school provides weekend swimming and summer swimming to the public. The public is welcome to call the parks department and sign up for swimming (fee may apply so ask Parks Department for all Details) What a great way for Seniors to get some extra exercise in on the same block of Drum Hill. Laundry machines on each floor, maintenance staff works fantastic. Feb 2020 hand sanitizer shortage in the stores. Drum hill had hand sanitizer everywhere. No issues. Tony even made his own stations stands on top of all the wall hand sanitizers that are always there. He is a Wiz at this stuff. Front desk staff that are always happy to help. Russell at the front desk is very knowledgeable and kind. Debbie (independent home health aide) rocks! she has been there for many years and we are blessed to have her. Independence is very important to many residents and I see this apartment as a great way to live independently while also having helpful caring people keep an eye out. Many times I am Down Town and see some residents from Drum Hill shopping, eating out ect. I wish my family member could still do this but that is ok. We just do these things together as a family. The last thing I will say is that cleanliness is key in keeping us all safe. Deep cleaning is practiced at Drum Hill a lot and I appreciate that. Do not forget there is a waiting list. So call get all the details and get on the list.

my grandma has been living here for a long time now. she keeps complaining to me about one of the staff members there named "Tamika" tamika spells so badly that my grandma gets nauseous everytime she assists her. She needs to be sent home if she is not showering!!!! it was very unsanitary and gross. With all do respect!! My grandma is tired of it.

My Mom spent 6 years at Drum Hill. The admission process was helpful and smooth. Mom had a lovely apartment overlooking the Hudson. Mom was reluctant at first but in a short period of time she made friends at the dining table and began to participate in the various activities. Drum Hill made it easy for our family to visit and participate in family events. All staff were immediately responsive to family calls and to requests from Mom. Staff is very aware of residents movements. If Mom did not come down to the dining room for the meals, the team went to her apartment to check on her. Mom is now in a nursing facility at age 98. She often comments on how happy she was at Drum Hill and how she misses the friends she made and how much the staff was so attentive to her. She wishes she could be back there. Thank you Drum Hill for keeping Mom happy and active for all those years.

We have found Priscilla and everyone who works there to be so friendly and helpful. Questions and concerns are responded to very quickly. Priscilla spent hours with us helping my mother in law. The value is exceptional and the community is kept up beautifully. We look forward to her moving in and spending many happy years at Drum Hill.

My mother in law has just moved into Drum Hill. Everyone with whom we have had contact and worked during the transition has been very helpful, friendly and compassionate. On move in day A the maintenance men were very helpful and went above and beyond. My MIL was worried about the move - but four days in - she is LOVING it. There are so many activities, intellectual and social opportunities, I can tell it will improve her physical and mental health. The dining/atrium area is lovely. The dining staff is warm and welcoming. The apartments are newly renovated and clean. We are grateful it worked out that she could move in when she needed this place the most.

I have never encountered a more rude, nasty person that I had to deal with when calling this senior residence!! She is the most dispassionate person I have ever spoken to. Everytime I tried to ask a question, she would interrupt and insult me. This should be someone who has concern and sympathy for the family who is trying to deal with taking care of their loved ones at the last part of their lives! She would not even let me come and tour the place! I cannot believe she is in this position dealing with community relations. She should be fired!!
