I do not have personal experience with myself or anyone I know taking a class here, and I am sure they are wonderful.

However, I called to see if one of my students on the autism spectrum would be able to join in a class with the support of an outside aide. Dreams was not open to even meeting this student or having her try a class. They said they "Tried it once and it didn't work out." It is incredibly disappointing that there are still places in this world, and in our local community, who are not accepting and open minded to differently abled children. As the rest of the world works to become a more inclusive and tolerant place, I hope Dreams takes a look at themselves to figure out how they can be a part of it. My experience with them was not positive, and they should be ashamed.

I have been taking my son to Dreams Gymnastics for several sessions for their parent and tots class. We couldn't be happier. Jackie is his instructor who clearly has so much passion for the development of the kids in the class, not to mention how she teaches the parents in the class how to work with their children, telling us what to do both in class and what we can do at home, to develop their motor skills.

The gym itself is wonderful. It's clear that they just renovated (see pictures). The equipment and mats are in perfect condition. The parent and tots class is so great. We start in a small gym which is nice for the little ones to get acclimated. Then we get to bring our kiddos into one of their big gyms (we alternate each week).

My sons' favorite part is the foam pit. The foam blocks seem to be new. I don't even mind jumping in myself to play with my son.

I'm happy that I started my son so young at this gym and am excited to watch him grow and develop in their classes for older kids.

We had my daughter's 4th birthday party here. I was nervous about having her party here after reading some of the old reviews, but decided to do it after a few friends that had been there for parties and lessons said that they had always had good experiences. It seems like they have updated some things since the reviews and pictures that were posted on here from 5+ years ago. We had a great experience and all of the kids that attended enjoyed themselves. The staff assigned to our party did an excellent job making sure we had everything we needed and keeping the party on track. The only thing that wasn't as great as it could be was the party room that we were assigned to. It could use some fresh paint on the walls and a new refrigerator, but overall the party was great.

This is a picture of the party room. The back wall was kind of gross and could definitely use a coat of fresh paint.

I was here with my 5 year old son for a birthday party. It's not terrible, but it is considerably smaller and less tidy than International Gymnastics in Mt. Prospect. Located in a office court off of West Lake Ave., this is a former factory converted into a gym. The conversion is not quite complete in my opinion. There is a kids fun gym and another, larger and more sophisticated, gym with advanced equipment. We were in the smaller gym and it looks rough around the edges. (see photos)

Still, it was fun for the kids. They accommodated a group of thirty 5 & 6 year olds and managed the group very well, God bless their souls.

I found it somewhat disturbing when we received a birthday invitation from the place and it had a waiver sheet folded and tucked into the pre-printed invite card from Dreams. The waiver, which had to be signed by a parent and witnessed by a gym employee, had a lengthy list of various and increasingly gruesome potential injuries possible, ranging from simple bruises to torn muscles, fractures and paralysis. Strange we did not have guests need to sign one for a party at International Gymnastics. Seeing the potential dangers and risks, I was tempted to send in my fearless Stunt Baby to substitute for my older son at the party, but my 5 year old handled it just fine.

There were two instructors who had the kids do warmups and run a basic obstacle course, followed by extensive play in their sponge cube pit. They also had a Tumble Track trampoline next to the pit for the more adventurous jumpers. The instructors (Nicki and Vicki) did a great job keeping track of the kids and making sure they played safely.

At the same time, the gym leaves a lot to be desired. The sides of the sponge pit are not padded like at International Gymnastics. Columns in the gym are crudely padded with folded mats wrapped in duct tape. The truck bay doors are covered in large sheets of clear plastic. There are stacks of insulation panels piled up on the sides above the party rooms. The condition of the padded floor, carpeting, mats, and the sponge cubes even, shows a significant amount of wear.

The party room itself was a bit crowded but fit 30 kids at a series of long tables. A second party room down the hall allows them to have one party after another while alternating rooms. Therefore, we were not rushed to get out promptly at the designated end time.

Certainly a good time but as a family we're sticking with International Gymnastics for classes and parties in the future.

This place is good for recreation (like early childhood and open gym) and birthday parties. If you want competitive gymnastics training, this is not your gym. Daughter went for a couple years and did ok, heard parents complaining that owners won't invest in serious coaching because the talent isn't good enough so we left. Someone I know went to another gym and kid got first in state, first in region multiple years since leaving here. The competitive piece is just to look like they're serious about it, it's really just recreational.

Our kids have been taking gymnastics classes here for a few years.

I am rating this gym three stars, "a-ok," because the coaches here are, by and large, wonderful people-- Jackie is especially nurturing in the Parent & Tot class. However, as other reviews have stated, this facility is in desperate need of a professional remodel. I think the owners have gotten complacent about the state of affairs. Even my toddler notices the chipped paint; I know I notice the duct tape on the entry door and dark bathrooms as well as boxes and dusty equipment in corners. If a new gym were to open down the street with a more professional environment, I think Dreams would go out of business. Which is a shame, because although progress is slow within each lesson (there is a lot of stretching and emphasis on "taking turns"-- a/k/a waiting), the coaches really do care about the kids.

I recently had my daughters 4th birthday here and would highly recommend it! The staff was highly attentive and engaged with all of the kids at the party. My daughter and friends had the best time. The staff was also very helpful getting the room setup and with clean up. Thank you to Dreams Gymnastics for a great birthday!

My two year old son has been enrolled at the Little Gym for about nine months. Wanting to expand his gymnastics skills we enrolled him at Dreams once per week. We thought we would be getting instruction in a bigger venue and that they would expand on what he would learn. Instead this turned out to be the opposite. The class was in a very small room, not much bigger than the size of an average master bedroom. They also advertise that you can take two free trial classes. The entire experience was very below expectations. He would have taken a step backwards if he had continued at dreams. Everything learned at LG was not allowed at Dreams. A flip over the bar with our help? Too Dangerous. Walking on the balance beam by himself or with just my wife or I holding his hand, no way! They expected us to hold him by the hips.

We finally decided that the class wasn't for our son. My wife had registered and paid for the class ahead of time. That was fine, we figured if we didn't like it we would get our money back. When she went to get a refund, they told us there was a $35 registration fee. We can get it back if we register him for a class there within a year.

Dreams was not upfront about the what the class was about. With totally different expectations, we will look in another direction when my son is ready to advance.

Reasonably priced. The staff and teachers are pleasant and helpful. It's a huge facility with options for advanced gymnasts. My kids take the classes for young kids and they love it. Birthday parties are well organized and less expensive than other local options.

I originally learned about Dreams through friends, and now my daughter has been taking lessons at Dreams for several years. The most impressive thing about the place is the teachers. They are kind and friendly, but efficient and skilled teachers. They follow a well-defined structure which helps young gymnasts progress through the levels. Excellent staff and great equipment, including a climbing rope over a soft pit (kids love it!)
