Dr Carpet & Air Duct Cleaning

Our house smelled like a campfire after the recent wildfires, so we wanted to get our air ducts cleaned thoroughly. We had used Dr. Carpet many years ago, and since our house is WAY off the beaten path, it's hard to find someone to come out for service.

I could tell right away they had their act together. The dispatcher asked great questions like "can we find your house on a nav system", and "do you have cell service at your house". (Yes, and no.) Most people don't think to ask those questions, which can cause a lot of headaches. Also they called to confirm the night before--very thoughtful because I had completely forgotten!

The technicians (Mike and Dean) were right on time, wearing masks and gloves, as well as shoe coverings. They worked around my home-office meeting schedule so I didn't have to worry about noise during critical parts where I needed to be speaking to my coworkers. I couldn't believe the stuff they found in my air ducts! (Pictured below, NOT including the dead mouse.) They also showed me pictures of the insides of my ducts, including a few areas that need replacing (they don't do that kind of work, but it's great to know, I would have never thought about that). And finally they made some suggestions about replacing my air filters in a few weeks. I appreciated that they never once tried to upsell me on anything. The total charge was exactly as quoted.

Overall my experience was professional, friendly and helpful, I would definitely use them again.

I cannot say enough good things about the crew who cleaned my ducts and bedroom carpets. Just like new. So impressed. Hard working, all business got right to work making my day. My house just feels and smells shiny, not dusty! A huge thank you for a job well done and done with care.

Mike and Don arrived on Friday on time and were very cordial.
They explained to me how the air duct cleaning would be done. They wore booties over their shoes and placed wall guards on some of the corners so their vacuum hoses wouldn't rub on the corner.

They both went right to work and did a great job! I highly recommend Dr. Carpet & Air duct cleaning!

This is the second time I've had them out to clean our ductwork/dryer vent. Once again, they were quick and friendly and did a great job. Definitely will use them again to have some duct cleaning done in the future. The price was very reasonable.

This company did a good job for a reasonable price. I found an ad in a mail flyer that said air duct cleaning was $50 off based on a price of 20 cents per square foot. The ad also said dryer vent cleaning was $99.

I called and was told the minimum charge for vent cleaning was $199 but, since my dryer vent was pretty short, they threw that in for free. So, for $199 I got all the vents cleaned, including the dryer.

The whole job took about two hours. They vacuumed out the vents throughout the house, changed the filters in the furnace, and cleaned all the vent covers. We were very happy with the service and we can tell the difference in our heating system performance.

I hired Dr. Carpet & Air Duct Cleaning to clean my carpets and ducts after my husband and I bought our first home. Dean and Mike were professional and answered any questions I had about the cleaning process. They were also super patient when I had to move my cats from a downstairs room to an upstairs room. I would highly recommend them :)

The people at Dr Carpet & Air Duct Cleaning were fantastic. Being new to Salem, I had no idea who to call for air duct cleaning. All I knew is that the light for the dryer for the duct came on while drying clothes and figured that it would be smart to have the whole duct system cleaned out.

Trina was great when she answered the phone. She asked a lot of questions about the home and specifically about the heating/cooling system. She explained the fees at the end of the conversation asking if I was okay with what she was proposing. I was, and she told me that I would receive a phone call at 7:30 the morning of the appointment.

The phone call came in right about 7:30, and the gentleman who came out to do the work arrived on time and did a thorough job of cleaning out the ducts, cleaning out the furnace filter and even showed how to access it as it wasn't obvious to me or my spouse.

They discovered that someone had placed a cheesecloth in one of the grates, and from looking at it, it had been there for some time. The cloth had turned a darkish brown from the heat over the years. I have no idea why someone would have done that, but it could have caused big problems down the road. That, in my mind, gives this firm the five star rating all by itself.

I also appreciated the followup phone call from Trina to make sure that everything was done to our satisfaction along with a followup email from Trina welcoming us to Oregon. What a great and wonderful company.

What a bummer!! I was very excited to find these guys in our local newspaper coupon section. We have owned our home for a few years and thought it was probably time to get the dryer vents and air ducts cleaned. I called to schedule and they were able to get me in a timely fashion. Van shows up and the driver Mike says hey that van has to get out of here! So I move my van. Don hops out, shakes my hand and was great when I said I needed a quick tutorial on exactly what and how things were to be done. We walked through the house, showed him all the vents/returns/ and where the outside access is. He showed me my dirty air filter and since I have a new one suggested we replace it then they are done with their service as they will get more dirt in it. Great, no problem. I showed Mike where the outside water access was and he tells me I need to sign their paperwork now and I said that I would like to sign for the completed work when its completed. He then tells me that "oh yeah, the dryer vent may fall off and you'll have to fix it". We are general contractors. If we break something g we fix it. Apparently for these guys that's not the case. He was very gruff and rude, borderline intimidating. I said hey, maybe our personalities aren't clicking but is theres someone else I maybe able to tt about all this so we can get things started. Don has gotten all set up inside. Mike said nope. I asked him if he was the owner and he said he was...he then said well I'm not going to do this and said he was packing up and leaving. I let him know I would be writing a review. As a representative of this company he was appalling. Don was very apologetic and kind. I'm sorry he has to work in the conditions he does. I'll spend my money locally with another company. I did try calling the 2 numbers listed on the magnet they gave me and they both went straight to Mike...
