If you live in Lincoln, especially north Lincoln or in college, you should know about Down the Hatch. This sports bar brings the small town vibe to the city. Good selection from the bar including domestic beers, mixies, and specialty mixed drinks. The food here is your typical bar food with burgers, pizza, and tacos. They do also have some home style cooking like chicken fried steak which hits the spot. Their fries are the perfect crinkle fries with a fun seasoning, which fits perfectly with their ranch. However, our go to is always their pizza with pepperoni and jalapeño. This pizza's cheese, sauce, and crust are top notch every time. No bad words for this place.

Long wait for a simple order. Food not great, but not exactly bad. An option if nothing else is available nearby.

Service incredibly slow. Probably understaffed as the servers were very busy. We never did get any cutlery. I signalled to our server because we needed knives and forks and she looked right at me at but never came back.
I can't imagine having a bad double cheese pizza - always a safe bet at a new place - but this one was disgusting. The crust was almost raw - doughy, the red sauce was terrible. The cheese was ok and I was hungry so only ate that ( with my fingers) The server saw my untouched pizza ( minus the cheese topping) after waiting a very long time to get her attention to ask for the check and she never asked me about my meal or said a word. This is the worst review I have ever given a restaurant.

This establishment has really improved in food and service and I credit that to management. I don't know the back story, but they're on the ascent in a tough, competitive restaurant environment. My last order was their Chicken Strips Basket. The strips were thinner cuts than many you get but easily a nice quantity for the cost. They had a great coating and we're cooked to perfection. These are not the usual frozen strips other restaurants toss in the fry oil. These were fresh made and flavorful. I also loved the Crinkle Fries, although they were a bit over salted. Give this sports bar a try!

Sat there for 40 minutes and weren't acknowledged. Served a party bigger than ours that came in 15 minutes after. Terrible place.

Ivy our server was great! Only two servers on Memorial Day and they were keeping up even with running KENO. My chicken buffalo sandwich was good. Fries were VERY salty but I guess we drank more beer to eat them all. I wish the pool table was off to the north instead of in the middle of the restaurant. He had catfish which was tender. Wish we could have stayed for all their fun trivia and nightly specials and fun. We will be back!
