Dollarama

Standard dollar store where you can find affordable household items. Store was very tidy. Minimal staff on the floor. I only saw one cashier and one person stocking the aisles.

I love me some Dollarama stores! This one is no exception! I happened to be in Tsawassen Mills and saw that there was a Dollarama inside - lucky day for me! I found things for gardening that I needed and had been putting off purchasing as well as a snow scraper/brush that I also had been putting off. With everything being between $1-$4 really and a few items above that mark, you really can't go wrong here. After about 20 minutes going through every aisle here I checked out and was on my way. It's a small physical store with tons of product! Narrow aisles are not conducive to the carts but as long as they aren't too busy you shouldn't be in the way. I was there when they were restocking so my cart was a bit annoying to get by stocking carts in the middle of aisleways.

I was searching for a particular toy that someone told me I would find in a Dollarama and somehow I wouldn't imagine that there would be a store like this in Tsawwssen Mills, as most assume this is an outlet store mall, I will review the mall portion later, but there it was and I decided to go in. If you have been to one dollar store, you have been to them all... well I have to say out of the chains Dollarama has better product and it ranges up, where not everything is a buck, and what is good is that usually they have their little price tag stuck somewhere so it is visible.

Well I guess any mall is a good place for a place like this, as we are all looking for some deals and what better than deals that are their regular price. I find this one to be overpacked. For a newer location the lighting seems to be from when my mother took me shopping as a child, that yellow tinge I talk about that usually is related to places like Zellers and that Ma and Pa convenience shop you buy lotto at. Maybe they didn't realize the size of this store till after they acquired it, as they really pack this place, from top to bottom, and aisle to aisle, there is no space wasted, not a bad thing for business, but when this place gets busy, there is very little personal space, especially when a shopping cart comes down an aisle, and also if you have been to their newer location across the street in the outside plaza!

In the end I did find what I was looking for, as the toy section was right in the back, but if you are looking for anything, come here, from pet food to human food, home wares to seasonal trinkets, you will be surprised what you find, and also the name brands of the cheaper things you may say elsewhere that are cheaper here, and within a mall that people would come to for deals and probably be less busy than the other big name stores located within here.
