This place used to be awesome. The best in town. Used to that is. They went from best to worst in the last year. They absolutely suck! It's a big clusterfuck, shit show of incompetence and inefficiency.
My registration was $528 and I gave him $600. He told me that Sacramento would send me my change in approx 6 months, with a straight face. I said, allegedly, and took my hundo back and paid exact change. Wtf!!!
I fill out 2 new forms of paperwork, that he tells me I have to fill out every 6 months(that means every single tine), I pay cash, and instead of printing out my registration and giving me a new sticker, he tells me to wait 2.5 hrs and warns me it probably won't be ready and to come back tomorrow. It's a 45 minute drive each way to my house. Why can't you fucking mail it to me? Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
The staff is friendly enough, but this place is a living hell. I actually feel worse for the staff.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Cj B.La Mesa, CA094Mar 7, 2024

Best help I've ever received at any government facility. Zee and Diana are amazing! They walked me through the process with so much patience and attention to details. Everyone in the office was super helpful. I don't have enough words to describe how awesome everyone was to me. If you getting bad attitudes at this place, I'm sorry you're the problem:)

The building is good DMV office is small but nice. All computer based test
Those employees are very rude, cold, ignorant and speak only in a quiet sound.
We bring our green card, cash, SSN !
So, don't push people until they feel safely keeping there documents.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jeff A.Yuma, AZ10811316Feb 27, 2021
Want a friendly and helpful staff? Well think again if you go here. I work for a dealership and we received a letter from the DMV about a ASF fees. The fee was $5. Yes $5. So not knowing why we had a fee I called the number on the letter. The inspector on the phone informed me what it was for and said it was imperative that I take a $5 to our local DMV Service Center today and gave me the address.
After I stoped laughing about extremely important $5 we owe the DMV, I went down to pay it. As I walk in the lady at the counter just glanced at me and asked if I had an appointment. I stated no and and explained what the inspector on the phone had told me. With our even looking up she stated " the inspector was wrong" and she would not take the payment without and appointment. Wow really, I thought the DMV was going broke because I owed the $5 ASF fee.
I asked if they had a drop box and she stated that I would have to fill out something called a transmittal to drop it in the drop box. UGH.
Frustrated at this point I left and went back to work. I called the inspector back and told her what had happened and she gave me a address to mail it to.
I am not one to judge but I can only think that a customer service training would help. I guess they forgot that without customers they would have a job.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Anne G.SoMa, San Francisco, CA01Aug 11, 2021
Both staff I dealt with were friendly and professional. I had an appointment, but when I got there around 9 am on Wednesday, there was no line. An hour or so later there was a long line and people were having to wait 1.5-2 hours if they didn't have an appointment.

The most unprofessional sad people work here. I agree with the other posts here. The Industry DMV in San marcos has a professional staff that are willing to help you.

I liked going here because there's not many people waiting in line. Anyone who complains this place is packed needs to visit a Bay Area DMV.. the clerks here are nice, but the main issue I have is where you take the exams everyone is talking around you and there's no quietness, even though the sign says be quiet. That's because you are literally taking your test and the people waiting in line are right next to you, and the clerks talking and laughing are within feet from you. I did pass my tests, but had to really concentrate on not letting all the talking right next to me ruin my focus.

If you ever are having a good day and want to ruin it go ahead and come here and it will do the job. Idk where they find these people. Some of the most unprofessional rude human beings I have EVER met. An absolute joke. I thought the el cajon DMV was bad but this one is another level.
