Question:
I would like to take my son to Dino world can anyone tell me how are their prices on tickets and can u bring snacks inside?

Prices are very reasonable - adults are $17, kids are $12 and kids 2 and under are free. You are encouraged to bring snacks/lunch as there are no restaurants or snack shops. There are a few vending machines by the picnic tables, but other than that… Read more

What age group would you recommend ? We have 2yr old and 13 yr old boys.
Answer:
Baby to adult. My 11 year old nephew asked to go with us last time. My husband really enjoyed the museum area and my mom likes all the beautiful flowers. I think my kids were 2 and 15 when we went the first time.

3/7/2020If my 3.5 and 5 year old could leave reviews, it would be multiple 5 star reviews. And really it was a great place to stop! Educational and fun for the kids.
However, I thought it was really expensive. You pay as adults and then you pay for each child's admission. But as a family of 5 (and even with our littlest being free!) it cost us $100 for maybe 2 hours of entertainment.
But the staff was friendly and knowledgeable. It was fun for the little ones anyways, and I loved seeing them learn and have fun! - Stacy V.Winter Springs, FL
3/23/20201 check-inI've passed Dinosaur World countless times on I-4 driving between Orlando and Tampa. Finally paid them a visit in January 2020! The location is easy to find and parking is free (yay).
The experience begins and ends in the gift shop, which is huge. They have an assortment of toys, knick knacks, shirts, and other merchandise. There are a bunch of rocks, fossils, and breakables on one side of the store, so keep any grabby toddlers away from that section. Tickets are purchased in the middle of the gift shop, and be sure to look for coupons online for a few dollars off. Everyone gets a wrist band and you walk through the doors to get in.
The first thing that you see when you walk in are some huge dinosaurs as well as a nice playground for younger and older kids. It's a great playground and there are some picnic tables in the shade off to the side for adults to sit at. My son seemed to like this playground more than anything in the park.
Next, you'll come upon the fossil digging area. For a few dollars, your child can pick up shovels and dig through some dirt to find "fossils", which are essentially tiny rocks, shells, and shark teeth. You are only allotted 15 minutes for digging and can pick three "fossils" to take home in a small bag. There is a strict schedule for the digging times. Tickets for the fossil digging area can be purchased in the gift shop, which are a couple dollars. Keep in mind that there is another digging area in the park with plain sand and shovels, which is free.
Most of the Dinosaur World experience is outdoors walking along a path to view (not touch) the life-sized dinosaurs. There are lots of signs with information about the dinosaurs. There are a lot of dinosaurs that I've never heard of, so it was interesting to learn about them. Most of the park is shady with trees. Thankfully, we visited in January, so it was cool outside, but in the summer, be sure to dress appropriately and bring sunscreen and bug spray. There are some water fountains near the gift shop and they have cold bottles of water for sale in the gift shop as well.
There is a small museum near the gift shop that has a lot of dinosaur fossils behind glass and a few animatronic dinosaurs. It's very dark inside and there is a/c. I didn't think the museum was that great, but it would be relaxing to walk through the air conditioning in here on a hot day. We did not experience any of the shows because we visited toward the end of the day and we missed a lot of them. They are only open until 5pm each day.
Dinosaur World is a fun, reasonably priced, low-key, local experience for kids and families who like dinosaurs. I would like to come back again when my son is a few years older to enjoy the shows and the other things we didn't see while we were there. - Ruth N.Meriden, CT0 friends40 reviews17 photos
3/15/20201 check-inGreat!
Went there expecting the worst and was taken by the beauty of the landscape, the shady paths and the clarity of the abundant information without it being tedious.
Glad there were no little kids in our party, it offered us the opportunity to read all the signs.
The place was clean and offered plenty photo opportunities. - Stacy F.Orlando, FL
11/11/20191 check-inIs it touristy? Yes, it is. Does it deliver on dinosaurs and all things from that era? Yes, it does!
We made a day trip to the area just for a local eatery and this park. We ate first then arrived here. Tickets are a little pricier, but you can usually find a Groupon, coupon, or Yelp discount somewhere, so be sure to look for that before you go! The parking lot is large and it's a short walk to the front entry area.
Ticket purchases are at the gift shop which is both the entrance and exit to the whole park. Once inside you'll pass by a child's play area on the left and then a picnic area on the right. From there you'll enter the main park area, which is where you'll find all the dinosaur goodness.
A variety of dinos and points of interests are found throughout. You'll want to use the map they give you at ticket purchase to ensure you don't miss any of the areas as they have some twisty pathways that could be missed if you don't pay attention.
There's plenty of photo ops and our toddler loved running around the sidewalks and looking at everything. On the way back out we shopped through the gift area and there's plenty of swag to remember your day by if you like that kind of thing. My suggestion for gift shops is always a magnet, an ornament and / or a frame for fun photos you took onsite.
Overall: A
A great way to spend a day trip in the area. Stop in and enjoy all the touristy dinosaur fun!! - Robbie G.Orlando, FL
9/29/20191 check-inNestled off of I-4 westbound just past Lakeland, is a fantastic little place to take the kids, especially those who love dinosaurs! From the moment you drive through the main gates, you're greeted with a park that has a decidedly Jurassic Park vibe, right down to the toys they sell in the gift shop. (I suspect they're just barely avoiding copyright infringement, haha.)
Dinosaur world is one of those great little finds that are difficult to discover unless you're from the area. It's laid out in similar fashion to a zoo, where similar dinosaurs are grouped together, with multiple habitat areas and even an island. Just like in the zoo, the different displays have placards that describe the dinosaur your viewing. With the exception of two displays in the museum, all of them are stationary sculptures.
They also have a bone yard, as well as a show in trivia for the kids. There are also multiple playground areas for different age children. This place is very family-friendly.
While there is a little bit of tree cover and the museum, do keep in mind that this is primarily outdoors. Bring the sunscreen and plenty of fluids to hydrate. This is a great little day trip from Orlando. There's also a deal if you check in on Yelp as of the time of this writing, though it's not a very big one ($1 off admission). Kids under age 3 are free! - Melissa L.Tampa, FL
9/9/20191 check-inMy sister wanted to go to Dinosaur World but I wasn't really ecstatic about it because I'm not really into dinosaurs but away we went. The entrance takes you immediately to the store which is big! It consists of every dinosaur that you can imagine, it was really neat. You will need to see a cashier to purchase your wristband to enter the actual park. Great news though is that when you check in on Yelp, you get $1 off admission up to 4 people! That was awesome! Very reasonable price to go into Dinosaur World.
Do not be fooled by this park because it is HUGE! I didn't know how big it was until it took us over an hour to walk through everything. It was a really cool park and there were definitely some sights to see and I think anyone who loves dinosaurs would really love this place. I Facetime'd my nephew and he loved it so much even though it was over the phone so I can't wait until he comes visit so I can take him. This place is pretty schnazzy and I can honestly say that I enjoyed my time there! - Kristy W.Plant City, FL42 friends28 reviews9 photos
5/25/2020Took my granddaughter there while she was visiting. And was super fun. She got a little frightened but she was like 3 at the time. I'd go back just for myself. They also had cooling fans with mist. So that was nice because it was so hot!! Had a blast and you gotta shop at the gift shop !!!

2/25/20201 check-inThis place is a great trip for people local to the area. If you live anywhere in Tampa and have I kids, I'd definitely recommend coming here. And for an extra couple of bucks, get the annual pass. Parking is free and if you come twice in a year it pays to get the annual pass. Pass holders get discounts to other attractions too.
The place is family run and the property is kept clean and updated. There are plenty of dinosaurs to keep little ones busy for hours and they even have 2 playground areas. You can bring a small picnic and eat it there too. They don't sell food so bring your own and they allow you to bring drinks too.
They have real dinosaur bones from some of their archeological digs and staff is always more than friendly.
Kids under 2 are free.
They do have things that are additional cost like dinosaur digs and mining for older kids.
Very laid back, go at your own pace, family run place! - Nadia D.Tampa, FL
10/9/20191 check-inDo not forget to use Yelp coupon before you pay for your tickets!
It was not planned and it turned out to be the best experience ever.
Children were happy not only to see these large dinosaur sculptures but also play in sand boxes , at playground, and shop at their gift shop.
We took lots of pictures and at one moment felt we were in the jungle. Their paths are covered with lots of greenery , you won't be on the sun all the time. Plenty of information boards to read about creatures you see around ( hahaha I think it is mostly for adults, kids didn't want to read hahaha)
I recommend for calm , relaxing day with children. - Brian D.Tampa, FL2 friends25 reviews11 photos
9/14/2019This was a pretty cool day trip for the family. They have dozens of life sized dinosaurs here that you walk through the wetland across a boardwalk and see in their "natural habitat". Honestly, it's pretty cool.
There are a few things to know before you go: there is no food here and bottles cost 3 bucks but they let you bring in food and drink so pack a cooler. Also, other than a jewel sifting attraction, a fossil dig and a playground for 12 and under there is not a lot to do here but walk the trails. Even the "interactive" museum was not hands on at all.
It's definitely worth a trip but I couldn't see buying the year pass and coming back. - Dianna B.Tarpon Springs, FL
12/29/20181 check-inMy husband is home on vacation. He didn't want to go anyplace that we had to really travel to, so we opted to do things and go places we'd never been too, this works out well for me, right?
We made our hour plus drive from Tarpon Springs, found our way down the access road and pulled into the parking lot that was surprisingly more filled than I thought it would be. Seems other people had the idea to go to Dinosaur World two days after Christmas. The weather was perfect for the visit so we really lucked out.
You enter through the gift shop and pay for your tickets right before entering the main park. There are several replica dinosaurs right there, on display for you and your family to see, as well as 2 play grounds for different age groups, a lot of covered picnic tables and the entrance to a Dinosaur Museum which goes over history and relics they've found, and at the end a few anamatronic dinosaurs make a scene.
When you exit the museum, you walk down the pathway, past the two playgrounds, and the gem mine/geode shop to the dioramas they've set up. This is obviously the life's work of someone, and while I may have gotten a few chuckles, the little ones around me seemed to love the park itself.
I personally loved the way they laid out everything in the swamp, they did a good job constructing pathways and scenes for you to enjoy, even noting when it might get a bit graphic. If you come during late spring through Mid august, wear bug spray. I'd assume mosquitoes feast well there, and you'd be the food. Bring your camera, as there's a lot of places to take pictures and make memories. - Matt B.Camp Hill, PA16 friends55 reviews72 photos
10/20/2019As soon as you pull through the gate, you'll see beautifully landscaped grounds, a perfectly cared for parking lot, and that care and attention to detail will stay with throughout your journey through the large grounds.
My wife and I have no kids and we still loved it. The price for what you get is a bargain. Lots of information on different species of dinosaurs including the periods that they lived.
Great, great place! I've driven past this place on I4 for years while traveling to Mid Florida Amphitheatre to see concerts and just stopped for the first time today. If you've been driving by for years, go check it out. It's so well cared for. Get a nice walk in and enjoy! - Krista D.Lake Mary, FL
8/10/2019Fun little place to walk around and look at large dinosaurs. This place is geared towards small kids and families that can walk around with their strollers and coolers. This place does not have a restaurant or any on site food. Just some vending machines. So if you want food bring your own coolers and food and drink. Also, there is no rides. It literally is just a park for kids to play and walk around and look at dinosaurs. There is a fossil dig as well as some other small extractions. Everything is also outside, no A/C. So be prepared with the heat and bugs. My kid had a ton of fun seeing the dinosaurs. Fun to walk around for a couple of hours.

11/5/2018We went to dinosaur work for our second time this past Saturday for my son's 2nd birthday.
My kids ADORE this place!
When you walk inside from the parking lot there are a couple photo ops right off the bat.
You walk in through the gift shop to purchase tickets. My son was free being 2 years old.
They give you a map with show times, and fossil dig time.
When you walk into the actual park there are already dinosaurs to see! They have a shaded area with picnic tables next to the separate bigs and littles playgrounds.
You start into the main Dino area by walking over the first bridge. The majority of this trail is completely shaded so even on hot days, it is not unbearable. There are information plaques along with each type of dinosaur telling you the name, pronunciation, and a little bit about the Dino.
They have a little mini walk through with mammoths to check out, as well.
There are a couple stations with restrooms within the Dino area. And some stops along the way with small activities. A Dino boneyard with a photo prop, an area with a puzzle to do, an identify game, something with sand I didn't bring my kids into...
You can also feed the fish at one of the bridges over a koi pond. Also several photo ops within.
There are also a couple of activities you can pay for.
They have a museum at the front with fossils, moving/sound making dinosaurs, and some fun theory posters.
You are allowed to bring coolers/lunch into the park as they do not have food. There are soda machines in a few areas of the park, and friendly dogs are allowed. My kids loved seeing people's dogs along our way. - Cathryn G.Davenport, FL
5/9/20191 check-inWhat a gem! Who knew? I recently met up with a friend of mine and her kids here for an afternoon and I had no idea what to expect. I was very pleasantly surprised.
So, my friend has an annual pass for her and her 4 year old. Her 1 year old is free. The 4 year old is currently obsessed with dinosaurs. I agreed to meet them and brought my 1 year old.
A 1 day ticket was about $17, but I could totally see getting an annual pass if we lived close or if my 1 year old becomes more obsessed with dinosaurs as he gets older.
Firstly, there are 2 playgrounds. One for smaller kids (say 5 and under) and one for bigger kids.
There are tons of dino statues with plaques containing information. It's almost like going to a dino zoo.
They have a giant "dig" site which is like a big sandbox that kids can play in and dig for dino bones.
There is also a museum with animatronic dinos.
From the road it looks cheesy, but it was a lovely way to spend the afternoon with the kids. - Mary-Margaret M.New York, NY0 friends14 reviews1 photo
6/12/2019We were very impressed with Dinosaur World. We were there 3 hours and didn't see everything so, it not super small. My boys (3 and 6) loved it! We have been to similar parks in NJ and outside Austin, TX and this one was even better. The interactive programs were great as well as the dig and mining.
We had lunch at Grandpa Johnson's BBQ after and it was great as well.
Looking forward to coming back to both.

7/29/2019Our 5 year old loves this place. We live about 1,200 miles away but purchased a year pass so we can come back each time we visit Florida. The gift shop could use some additional school/learning type activities for purchase. I love the picnic table for eating lunch around the large playground. The museum area is entertaining and educational for kids and adults. Of course our daughter was thrilled with the animatronic dinosaurs. Don't miss out on Dinosaur trivia game show, it was funny and we all learned a few things. The cave show could be a bit longer, I feel like they are really missing out here by not throwing bigger learning experience in here. We enjoyed walking around the path looking at the dinosaurs and plants. The Dino dig and gemstone mining are fun and offer a chance to further learn once you leave. We have already decided we will be renewing our membership this year again.

1/4/2020Our toddler, who is a professional dinosaur raw-ER thoroughly enjoyed this place. It does require some walking but easily maneuverable even with a stroller. The exhibits are colorful, realistic and large. Some activities he did not enjoy because he was too young to understand, I.e., trivia and cave tour. However, we were thrilled for playground. There were two playcenters available one for toddlers and smaller children and one for older children. The animatronics museum is not much to write about but it was worth the visit. A great family day for a child interested in dinosaurs.

3/25/2019OMG! What's not to love? Family friendly, pet friendly, life sized Dino fun! We had the best time here. We spent 3 hours and rushed out because the kids go back to school tomorrow (Spring Break). I feel like we EASILY could have spent more time there. Definitely bring a packed lunch or snacks, there are no concessions. They do have vending machines but I feel like your fun could be cut short to leave when you get hungry. We brought a lunch bag and ate at on of the many shady picnic tables. The playground was awesome because it was a nice break to sit down for us and not kids

8/7/20181 check-inA couple of things to know before coming. This is an outdoor activity, so plan accordingly for weather. We went in the middle of July, so it was on the warm side. That being said there is a lot of foliage so there is a lot shade, and outdoor industrial fans and misters spread throughout the park. We also suffered some mosquito bites along the way, so if you've got some bug repellent - use it!
There's a couple of hands on activities to do - gem mining and fossil dig. Both of which have an additional cost associated with them, or an excavation ticket can be purchased that has these activities included. There is a boneyard excavation site activity which is a free activity, in a covered area with stadium seating available to sit and watch as the kids brush away at the sand to reveal the Dino skeleton.
The activities were all great, but it would be an improvement if the park could have hand wash sinks and/or hand sanitizer stations at these activity spots.
The dinosaur replicas were really impressive. Be advised that there is one interior section of the park that features a some relatively graphic "carnivorous scenes."
There are two playground areas. One for babies and toddlers and another for school age kids. Both areas have picnic tables next to the playgrounds so parents can rest and just observe or even have a lunch break with the kids.
It was a great day out, and I recommend it.
