The Devonshire Arms is a cozy, quaint little neighbourhood pub just a few minutes from Burton station. The real ale selection is adequate, and the decor typical for a community boozer. Friendly atmosphere and that just-feels-like-old-times kick make this a place to spend a nice evening. Nice staff, too. Solid option in a good real ale town.

My friend Erik and I have an internship here in England for 7 months. We've been meaning to find a good pub to start off a good England experience and this place nailed it.

The draught beer was tasty but it didn't beat the people there. We met some amazing people that actually talked about our friends who were interns at our company before us. Very friendly staff and has a cozy atmosphere. Made friends with the landlady, Jackie, and I expect we'll see her again very soon.

On a side note, though they don't offer any food, you can walk with your drink to the next door restaurant, Balti Tower. That's an entirely different review in itself, but that restaurant was also amazing, and I'm glad the two are affiliated with each other.

At first we were skeptical judging by the very few people at the bar, but I wouldn't have wanted our first pub experience to be anywhere else but here. Cheers.

Not my closest pub, but certainly the one I'll go to for drinks due to the selection behind the bar of ale and soft drinks, and the amazing staff and atmosphere. I've had such a warm welcome every time I've been in, despite not being a 'regular' and they are always more than happy to let me try the beers out if I'm not sure. Clean toilets, little outdoor area - nice and lively after a football match too, despite it being the opposite end of town from the ground!

A fair sized pub with a large carpark just 2 minutes walk from burton town centre. The food is excellent and very well priced. A great cheap place to start the night if you are heading into town. they have regular beer festivals and live entertainment regularly.Great friendly local pub what more could you ask for. ( and the beer is good too!!)

Having spent many a happy hour in this public house i have to say its the top banana, the staff are so friendly and the landlord carl is a smashing fella and he knows everything about all the ales he keeps. If you fancy a strong bridge brewery ale or just some good friendly company in a snug warm public house then this is the one. they serve top quality pub grub and its value for money as they serve a massive portion of everything. you can even book a table at the balti towers have a curry and take your beer from the devonshire arms with you wot could be better than that.... heaven in a glass and on a plate.. check it out
