Michael was punctual, efficient, super communicative, and protective of us as his clients during the home inspection of our 1-bed condo in Queens...we learned so many things about things to look out for, and his report was timely and comprehensive, which allowed us to continue our buying process.

We later had some administrative mixup involving our mortgage company (not Michael's fault), yet Michael and his team went above and beyond for us, so we could close on our property.

I can't gush any more about the standard of professionalism he's shown us during the home buying process. If you have doubts about which inspector to go with, I assure you can't go wrong with him.

Absolutely would not recommend this inspection company to ANYONE. Michael came to my co-op and did not notice a HUGE CRACK in the corner of the walls in my dining room that is now a potential structural issue. (The beam is horizontal so the crack extended my whole wall) At the time of inspection, he was polite and personable. However, after I closed on my place and RELIED on his professional opinion and then told him that there are all these issues all he could say is "too bad, I didn't take clear pictures of that area at the time of inspection so it's not my fault". Are you serious? He did not even try to accommodate when clearly it is a 9-FOOT CRACK in my ceiling and he did not catch it at the time of inspection!! I am not a professional and this was my first time buying a home so I do admit I could've looked closer as well but the reason why I hired an inspector in the first place was to rely on his expertise and experience in this field. I am highly disappointed and will not tell anyone I know to use this company.

Summary: I highly recommend Dennis Home Inspection!

After trying to buy our first condo for half a year with an agent without any luck, we decided to do everything on our own. The whole process is so frustrating and everyone including agents, lawyers and banks are just doing nothing but to charge you money. I got introduced to Michael via a friend and he's the only professional and reliable person in this whole process.
1. He's fast and polite in responding with correct and relevant information
2. He's punctual
3. He walked us through the home inspection explaining everything in detail and answered our questions patiently
4. He went beyond inspection and answered many of my condo quality questions to the best of his knowledge with his extensive industry experience, which is super helpful and precious for first time home buyers like us.

Overall, it was a really pleasant experience working with Michael and I sincerely wish everyone in the industry could work towards his high standards.

We were referred to Dennis Home Inspection by our realtor from Triplemint, but do want to write a review because it can be difficult during the pandemic to ask for a home inspection! The transition for our realtor to our Michael, our home inspector, was seamless and hands-off-- allowing us to not worry too much about the ins and outs of everything going on. Because we were inspecting a condo unit and he was the only one allowed in, Michael was very transparent about the project: he sent the contract for us to sign ASAP, made sure that we knew what we were getting into through this process, texted and called us to explain how his process worked, and then video chatted with us to go through his finding after he documented what he needed to. He also uses thermal cameras to be able to be thorough in his inspections and gives us time to ask any questions and to go through his findings.

If we ever need to have a home inspection again, we will gladly use Michael of Dennis Home Inspection!

I hired Dennis Home Inspection again, after having a positive experience hiring them about 5 years ago. My experience was the same as it had been... Conducted a home inspection yesterday with Michael in Staten Island. I've worked with different inspectors before, but was really impressed with Michael's attention to detail and his exceptional customer service. He took a lot of time to explain the different components of the house to me and was really attentive to my questions and concerns. I appreciated his expertise and friendliness. I will gladly be a returning customer when I need another home inspection.

As an added bonus, Michael was bilingual, so he was able to talk to my in-laws in Mandarin. I did not expect that and it was very helpful with communication during the inspection.

Michael was great! He arrived early to the inspection (unfortunately I was late due to extreme traffic jam) and while he waited for is he did some surveillance outside.

Once we arrived he went through the house with us starting from the outside and worked our way in through all the floors. He was thorough and answered all our questions to the best of his ability and if he couldn't he would make recommendations where we can find the answers or who we should consult.
We received his inspection report the next day. His inspection report was very clear and concise with pictures detailing where the issues where and what could be a potential problem which was great.

He also said he's here to assist us if we have any questions or concerns.

Dennis helped us with a home inspection and he was great! He is very professional, punctual, patient, and reliable. He has extensive experience and knowledge regarding home inspections which is exactly what we were looking for. During inspection he is very thorough and respectful. He provides a quick turn around for the inspection report and his report is detailed and straight to the point- including a summary of concerns and suggestions. Dennis patiently explains the report, and has no issues answering my million questions. He also gives insight and advice on possible upgrades you could make. His prices are fair, and we would not hesitate to use him again, also would definitely recommend him to all!

Michael came to inspect the home I was buying. He's quick, responsive, and friendly. He seems knowledgeable and thorough - there were 1-2 things that I found on my own but I happen to have an eye for these things because I prepare for hospital inspections. I was able to get my home inspected for $425.
