This place is heavenly!
Arrive early between 730 and eight, but certainly by 830 for on-site parking! (Only two parking lots during restoration so far after hurricane Ian)
Second option is to park at nearby Connor Park and walk or shuttle over!
Uninterrupted mile of natural flora and fauna of real Florida's Gulf Coast!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Tiffany S.Redondo Beach, CA03Nov 22, 2023
My kids, husband and I came to watch sunset tonight. As we were walking into the parking lot to leave from exiting the beach, a truck started racing through the parking lot and stopped next to us . He yelled out " we closed at 5:30pm" . We were taken back and didn't even respond to him. He didn't even say hello or excuse me in the future so you know we close at this time . He startled my kids because he drive up fast, and stopped near us quickly and yelled out to us. Then as we are getting in our car with our kids he turned around and was driving fast through the parking lot and loitering in his truck behind us while we were putting our daughter in her car seat because he was upset we were still parked there .
A few months ago, this same man rushed us off the beach. Again we were watching sunset and he came up
On his 4 wheeler and told us we had to leave . The sun was barley about to set. Everyone who was there for the same reason were also very confused because the sun hadn't even gone down yet.
We stopped coming here because of that reason, we decided to come back because we like this beach. Yet again another incident happens with this same employee. He is so rude and aggressive, for no reason! It's very odd , and unnecessary!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jan 10, 2023
Paradise Lost!
On 9/28/22, Ian devastated this beach and all the buildings. They have started restoration and reconstruction, but it may literally take years before DELWIG returns to its splendor.
While they are working, the park remains closed. You can park across the bridge, opposite Conner Park, and walk to the Bluebill entrance to Vanderbilt Beach North, but that is a poor, temporary substitute for DELWIG.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Sarah B.TX, TX01532Oct 13, 2023
Cheapest parking you can find if you don't get a free spot at the other beaches. $6 per car. Not crowded at all. Raccoons gave us a hard time getting in our vehicle but it's their home so we just waited til they moved on.

Conner Park parking lot. Posting this review because I couldn't find parking info, post hurricane Ian. I parked here on a recent Sunday and then headed off for a walk towards the beach. Wiggins beach is still closed but you can get on to the beach by Moraya Bay condos. Parking in this lot is a bit of a hike but I noted a trolley parked in the lot taking people down to the beach. Pay machines are still broken so we didn't pay but not sure that parking is really free. May need a Naples beach parking pass. We were gone by 10 am so no worries, no ticket. Nice parking lot.

We've been to a few beaches around and if you are looking for shells this is your place. $6 for a carload of 8 or less (I think) get there before 9am or expect to park outside of the park and walk. Be careful of the pelicans, they dive into the water trying to eat.
If you are looking for shells make sure you check out what you're grabbing. You don't want to take anything alive home with you. We did find some hermit crabs, starfish and sand dollars. Put them back in the water and keep moving.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Frank B.Naples, FL21334Sep 7, 2022
Absolutely beautiful here. I park at #5 which suits me because there tends to be less people due to it being so close to the "No Swimming" area.
The staff at the park all are pleasant here, and I've never had an issue with any of them.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0
