Just had a nice dinner outside (thank you tent for blocking the rain!). As a result, I have now added a new BYOB restaurant to my list of go-to dinner spots.
It was a rainy weeknight so getting seats was no problem. We dipped into our wine and eventually settled on some appetizers to split. The zucchini boats were interesting; imagine chicken parm but the chick is replaced with zucchini. Rice balls were on point. The brussel sprouts were fine but the dipping sauce brought the extra flavor that was lacking.
I went with bowtie Michelangelo for my entree. It was a tasty blend of pasta in oil with peas, garlic (nice big slices!), and hot cherry peppers. It was topped with grilled chicken, which did not mesh with the rest of the meal. I think it would have been better, albeit less healthy, without the chicken added.
Affegato for dessert = me up until an ungodly hour. And it was worth it. For those who don't know, thats vanilla bean ice cream with whipped cream topped with espresso. A LOT of espresso. Yea worth it.
Kid's meal was a very healthy serving of chicken parm. You better believe he had it for lunch today too.
We will be back!Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - Chris Critic _.San Juan, Puerto Rico111670May 9, 2022
This place has no professionalism.
I ordered a dish and they sent me something else
Then when I called they said they don't make it
Why is it in your menu and who gave them the right to just sent something else
Completely disappointed
The food also sucks !
They sent me garlic and oil instead of pasta w red pesto , google red pesto and see what it's supposed to be. The garlic and oil was bland and it was a half of tray of oil , oil soup w pasta GROSSSSSSS
There Arancini (rice balls ) are super salty and not tasty. I think the chef or cook thinks cheese is the only flavor.
Please save your money and eat anywhere else ! Literally anywhere else !!!!
And don't waste your time calling them to make them aware of this because they don't care about anything.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Pamela M.Montvale, NJ571Dec 30, 2021
Terrible customer service!
We ordered on Christmas Eve, an appetizer and two entrées. The delivery was 45 minutes late so it was cold, the fried calamari had no legs like I requested, and no bread Which I ordered. Today I called because they have not been opened since Christmas Eve. Spoke with an owner or manager who said they did not get any legs in that day for Calamari and they ran out of bread. I of course said what about 45 minutes late and the fact that nobody called me about running out of bread or anything. She simply said she was out sick that day and they're doing the best they can. I said I too was out with Covid on Christmas Eve which is why I ordered food. Terrible customer service did not do anything to try and make it right.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Robert A.Hillsdale, NJ201625Jul 22, 2022
Closed. No longer in business. Now Fig and Tomato. Closed
Fig and Tomato is basically the same thing with fancy names for the food and much higher prices.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jaimie M.Paramus, NJ17216255May 18, 2021
Poor quality. We ordered shrimp & calamari fra diavlo. We were very excited for it and what we received was beyond ridiculous. It was almost $30 and I wouldn't have paid $10 for it. I have no problem spending money at all, especially for good food, but this was such a waste. The pasta was also over cooked to the point it went to mush. The shrimp were so over cooked that they were completely dry. We threw it right in the garbage!

Tonight I had the best ever Carbonara, with egg, hard cheese, cured pork, and black pepper. The cheese was Pecorino Romano and Parmigiano-Reggiano. They added jumbo shrimp to the dish. Tip of the hat to Della Cucina for a 5 star dinner

Thought I'd give a try to Della Cucina. Why not? The reviews were on the + side.
Ordered take-out. Eggplant and a small salad.
The plan was to get a small side salad to go with dinner. The salad was large (as seen in the picture), fresh and had a good variety of fixens. The dressing too was good. The only issue I had was that I was eating alone. Apparently (after 4PM), they only offer the $8 salad. That's fine but what about those of us who eat alone? You mean no one walks into your restaurant after 4PM solo, who may just want a small side salad? Hmmm.
The eggplant was different but good. As seen in the picture, it was like my mom cut the eggplant up for me (cuz apparently I'm incapable of such a challenge) and mixed in with the pasta. The pasta was good and the sauce was good.
They give you a few slices of bread which, was very good.
Gripe? Just 1. When I asked the hostess before I left if there was butter for the bread, plastic ware and napkins in the bag(s) I was told "yup"... Bzzz. Wrong. Stupid me, I erred on the "I'll take her word for it side" and was wrong. Good thing my hotel bailed me out.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Feb 21, 2018
The food here was really good. The only issue is that we were seated at this super small table, since it was just two people, but I still felt like it was too small. They did, however, have other seating options available. I got the tomato bruschetta and fettuccine Alfredo (pictured), and the Alfredo was just the right combination of sauce and butter. The bruschetta was also amazing.
Update: I got a pizza bread to go and it was not that great. It was just pizza dough with cheese, but their other food is amazing, so if you plan on ordering that, I recommend airing on the side of caution.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Gloria K.London, United Kingdom06582Nov 28, 2020
The food here is so so good. I had the margherita pizza and my friend had the penne vodka. Both were delicious. It's also byob and they bring you glasses as soon as you sit down. They forgot to bring us bread at first but they were busy and brought it a little later which was fine. Our server was great and shoutout to Julia who works as the hostess she was amazing and super sweet! (There's a filter on the photo which is why the color looks a bit off)

Every single time we order from them pickup or delivery they screw up the order. Otherwise food is decent.
