Dead Bug Edwards Termite Company

Flying termites are one of the reasons I hate Florida. Give me western NC any day. No hurricanes and termites up there are Subterranean. Termite protection consists of baits in the ground. No food worries, no poison indoors, no leaving your home for the treatment. But down here you have those flying bastards so you have to tent :) Having said that.......

The negative reviews certainly are interesting. We have used this company at least three times I was involved with, and probably more with my parents homes over the years. Many years I might add.

So far we have never experienced any issues. I mean.........unless you call a gutter splash guard being bent, or a door lock re-installed backwards......stupid stuff like that which I easily corrected.........no issues at all.

I will tell you one thing. If you wait until termite season to call, good luck. Even though we were previous customers I was told last spring that tenting was a few months out. So we waited until late 2020 and put our home on the schedule for February. In addition..........it rained like hell the morning they showed up. I mean really bad for hours. The team just sat it out in their trucks and then got the job started. How many people do that?

These folks have a couple of generations of family working, so they have a vested interest in maintaining good customer service. I highly recommend them.

I emailed and called to get someone out to give an estimate. Woman who answered phone said only her manager gets the emails and the Contact Us forms from website. The manager never responded - this isn't the type of business I care to deal with because when/if there is the problem that means they wont respond either.

Great experience. Family owner business for decades. They rented my home and nothing was damaged or stolen in the process: the job was done well. No termites since then.

The owner of the company is a great guy who came over to do the termite inspection himself.
He found no termites but also told me he would send Gabriel from his office to check the attic as well. Now most companies would be hesitant during a free inspection to go up in a hot attic in late August to check for termites but Gabriel made a thorough check in the attic; he must have been up there for more than 20 minutes, not once complaining of the heat. Glad to hear his report that there was no evidence of termites up in attic either. While up there he found evidence of an animal up there and showed me photos. Yikes, now I need The Critter Guys but I will definitely keep their card and call if anything changes or to recommend Dead Bug Edwards to a friend. Thank you!

So I've called 3 times to get a call back from someone to give me a time for them to come out to check out my bug issues. I was promised a call back yesterday after 2pm. Never called. I just called them again and they said they couldn't promise a call back, nor do they promise one. WTH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'll calling another company.Horrible a call that takes all of one minute

When it was time to tent our house I asked neighbors who they had used. Several said Dead Bug Edwards. I got 3 quotes from the recommended companies, and Dead Bug Edwards' quote was the best by far. I was worried about going with the lowest quote, but their team was professional, returned phone calls, showed up when they said they would, and kept in touch during the whole process. While I hope I do not need them in the near future, if I do I will be calling them back.

Although they did a good job tenting, they place you on an annual maintenance contract and make it very difficult to pay and communicate. I have 12 properties and they always send the renewal to the wrong location. If they send e-mails, it has nothing written but invoice attached. Most people would not open a random nondescript e-mail and attachment like this. Then you miss the date because very few people in this world have the dates engrained in memory. Once missed, the receptionist will say its cancelled. If you ask to speak with the manager it will take days and in most cases she will not even pass your information along for a call back. Poor customer service and a concerted effort to cancel older maintenance contracts..... not good.

We had two properties treated by DBE. I was satisfied with their service and communication and was able to quickly treat both properties due to cancellations. I thought the tented and fumigation was done professionally and expertly. However, in BOTH properties household items were either damaged or mishandled. Items on a table were just dumped on the floor other items were damaged by rough handling. We stupidly had a delivery come to the house (the tenting was last minute and we overlooked the shipment) and has gone missing. In fairness, I can't hold DBE accountable but fits a pattern. I would use them again but wouild be sure to protect all valuables and breakable items.

I had the same experience as Dave F. It took more than one phone call to their office to have the quote man call me to make an appointment, which took weeks. After I received the quote, I called him to schedule a time to go ahead and have my property tented and he never returned my call. I decided to go elsewhere, if they are so difficult to return calls to make a sale and do the work, it can't be any better if there is an issue after you hire them. My neighbor liked them, not so good for me.

I've called 3 times... I've left 3 messages for someone to come out to give us a quote and no one ever returned my call .... I wanted to use them as they were the company I used for my previous house tenting but since they can't call back they've lost my business
