I crave the Gino's Melt and Cuban sandwich at least once a week. Their pasta salads are good too!

Truly a local favorite! Near and far, people visit DeSimone for high quality food and amazing service! Thank you so much to Elena and Jordon for always being the best! The inside is spacious and the ambiance is beautiful! They have wall art that gives LA family home vibes. Born as raised a Laker baby, I love the wall art!

Personally, I am not a sandwich fan but any time someone mentions DeSimone's sandwiches I'm all for it! Their bread is always fresh and each sandwich is prepared with care! My personal favorite is the Cuban (no modifications needed!) even if you don't normally enjoy pickles or mustard, this sandwich will have you think otherwise! Also, I'm a fan of their baked goods (made fresh daily with care as well). My friends are big advocates for their Banana Fosters Bread Pudding! The perfect amount of sweet and a delicious dessert after eating their sandwich.

Family owned and ran. They truly treat every customer as their own loved ones and it's heartwarming. Love this place and I always come back!

**March 2024: Weekday Afternoon Visit**

I've visited DeSimones on 4 or 5 occasions for both take-out and catering and really enjoyed their sandos. I personally always call in my order and pick the Italian 8 inch. When I come in I'm always greeted with a smile and friendly service. The bread on the sando is so good and all the ingredients inside are always perfectly balanced.

On one of my catering orders I ordered a 40 assorted sandwich tray and everyone enjoyed them. I'd be happy to order them for future parties as well.

The Italian is so bomb. I got lucky and the day I was there they had their famous lasagna available for purchase so I got both the sandwich and lasagna and was so happy with both.

I've been meaning to return to try other items on the menu.

My favorite sandwich shop ever! I have been coming here for decades!!! The fresh roasted turkey sub on their scrumptious homemade soft but crusty bread is amazing (extra Italian dressing and pepperoncinis please and thank you). It is fresh turkey, yes dry and plain but NOT processed turkey so double thumbs up for me, amazing!!! I love their Italian dressing so I get extra for my subs. You can have your bread toasted as well. All of their subs are delicious and their desserts so yummy.

The cuban is amazing. I always order it. I'd love to try other things but I always stick with the cuban. Its perfection.

First time visit, Saturday - 5/6/2023. I finally was able to stop by and pick up a couple of hot sandwiches for lunch. I actually noticed all the people going into this place during the week when I picked up food next door.
Small cute deli that serves cold and hot sandwiches. Baked goods - fresh baked bread, pecan pies and rice pudding. They also have potatoes salad, coleslaw, etc.
I ended up with an 8 inch Cuban and pastrami. The Cuban was delicious and my bf loved the pastrami. Also, got a homemade pecan pie for dessert.
Very welcoming experience. Good food with great customer service.

OUTSTANDING sandwiches.

Your expectations may be low based on its location in a little boring shopping center. The interior is small and is primarily decorated with Kobe Bryant posters, so someone here has good taste.

The Cuban sandwich may have been the best Cuban I've ever had, and I've had a few thousand, give or take. It's a hefty boy and comes with ham, roast pork, Swiss cheese, pickles and mustard on beautifully fresh crunchy bread. You've got textures, and crunch, and savory, and acid, and tons of flavor, and it's just a fantastic sandwich. The 8 inch size is plenty sufficient and I ate it so fast, I literally gave myself a stomach ache.

They have many other sandwiches here and yes, you should eat your way through the entire menu.

Another huge bonus: for this quantity and high quality, my sandwich was 8 bucks. That's an insanely good deal.

I live extremely far away from here and stumbled across it when I was craving a pastrami sandwich. On my road trip home from Costa Mesa to Playa Del Rey and let me tell you I've driven back twice now because the bread and meat and cheese with the peppers is absolutely amazing! I have switched off between the pastrami sandwich and the chefs special which are both variations of pastrami and turkey combined!

I can't wait to pick up the chicken salad weekly. I haven't found a better tasting chicken salad than what's provided here. Thank you DeSimone!

The 2 best sndwiches I've had here are the Chef's Special which is this beautiful marriage of turkey, pastrami, melted cheese- and the Cuban- which, dare I say, is probably the best Cuban sandwich I've ever had. Better than Porto's lame sandwich, better than alot of so called Cuban eateries that I've had around the OC area.
