Walking staph infection. I don't even know where to start. We walk into the room. Smacked in the face with the stench of cigarettes and marijuana. As someone who has de habilitating asthma, this is simply unacceptable. It's 2024, why is it still acceptable to smoke in a hotel room??? The door was barely on the hinges and the locks that went to the front door directly in the parking lot seemed to have been busted a time or two. The room was not even slightly unhygienic as one would expect. It was filthy. Stains covered every square inch of the room. Long, black hair was strewn everywhere from the carpets to the bed to the shower drains. Let's not even start on the suspicious individuals pacing back and forth between all of the rooms. The walls are also paper thin so you can hear the mentioned potential perpetrators walking outside. In fact, if someone dropped an actual paper clip within 50 feet of your door, you could probably hear it. We stayed in that room for roughly 20 minutes before bolting it out of there. For a hefty price of 200 a night, you would at the very least expect some clean bedsheets. Ridiculous and disgusting experience. Save yourself, book literally ANYWHERE else. If you have a car to sleep in for the night it's probably a better option.

Days Inn & Suites by Wyndham Charleston Airport West on Montague Avenue in North Charleston is a good place to stay on a budget when you need it. The location is very convenient and in the middle of everything and easy to access. The staff here is very friendly and accommodating.

Nastiest hotel room I think I've ever booked! The room smells and the carpet is moist. The TV doesn't work and the individuals hanging around look sketchy. They are under construction so you can't even enter the lobby. Breakfast is grab and go through a little slot like prison. I paid $300 for two nights. I'm tempted to write it off as a loss and go to the beautiful Hampton Inn next door! Beware!

Are you looking for a comfortable and affordable hotel room that is clean? Well, look elsewhere cause this isn't what you're looking for. So we'll start with the parking lot. After parking in a spot near a pile of rocks, pallets and other misc debris, we walked to our room, passing a guy that appeared to be a vagrant just hanging around the rooms, surveying the parking lot. We made it into the room without being asked for money, so that's a win, right? Wrong. We got into our room to be greeted by a funky unwashed body smell. The walls had dried blood and what appeared to be tiny nuggets of feces. They were presumably there to keep the dead spider (that was smashed onto the wall) company. Where to set the stuff? Well, not on the usual eating table with chairs, cause it didn't have them at all. Oh well, there's always the filthy floor with various colored stains scattered about. At least the beds were......probably covered in dried semen. Well, off to Walmart to buy a ton of cleaning supplies and our own sheets and pillowcases, because no one wants to sleep in dried up unborn babies. After disinfecting literally everything, changing the sheets to ours and getting the musty taint smell out of the room, we're off to eat, secretly hoping to not return to this filth hole, but alas it's a must. At least the door has a visible gap to allow new bug friends to come party with us tonite. Afterwards I'll shower off the day and enjoy the view of a slow draining rusty drain and random patched holes in the painted-over-mold ceiling. No privacy though, as the bathroom door doesn't close right and therefore doesn't lock. Afterwards, I am looking forward to watching pixelated lagging cable that is unwatchable on ANY channel. Actually, I'll just watch something on my phone. Or I would if there was a working outlet on my side of the bed. I guess I'll just watch the bugs walking in from the huge crack under the door instead for entertainment. If you book this via a website for really cheap...you're still getting ripped off. Just sleep in your vehicle, you'll thank me later.
