I came to Daniel's on a Saturday afternoon and the establishment was simple and very much a traditional looking Italian restaurant both on the inside and outside.
My friends and I each got an entree to try and I love how big the portions are for each dish and all of them were delicious!
I got the lasagna since I saw it was a popular item and it was simple yet delicious, no complaints really! It was the first time I tried chicken and mushroom with Marsala cream sauce and it was decent. The salmon sauce was surprisingly light and refreshing as well.
Not pictured but one of the BEST Tres Leche Cake I've never had! It was moist, not too sweet, and perfect after the surprising not too heavy pasta meal. Highly recommend this place!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Mar 12, 20242 check-ins
We arrived to the restaurant 15 minutes before our reservation, we went to the bar for a drink. We were greeted by a very friendly bartender- she gave us drink menus and told us the specials.
My husband ordered the usual Jim Beam and coke- they only have Pepsi - he only had one (he dislikes Pepsi)
I tried the cab sav - they had 2 kinds- I got the bottle- the nice bartender wrapped a scarf around the neck of the bottle:)
Our server Nick was friendly, service was a little slow be he was very nice. I ordered the chicken parmigiana with linguine- it was good but some of the chicken was burnt:( otherwise it was nice.Helpful 1Thanks 1Love this 1Oh no 0 - Anh B.San Diego, CA3732Jan 15, 2024
Overall, we had a good experience. The service and the staff were great.
We ordered the calamari, pizza, veal cannelloni, and scallops with risotto. The cannelloni was too cheesy for me, but my husband liked it. We all loved the calamari and the pizza. The special was the scallops with risotto and the risotto was too mushy. It's possible they don't make this regularly or they were having an off night. Risotto should be creamy pearls of rice not mushy and starchy feeling. It also had a mango sauce that made everything too sweet. I won't be ordering risotto again. I would give this place another try, but I would order their most popular dish instead.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 412348526Mar 2, 20241 check-in
Was looking for a lunch spot before taking my grandson to an indoor playground. My son saw this spot so we gave it a try. They don't really have a lunch menu, it's a full menu. However, the food was amazing. There marinara sauce was delicious. We had the fresh mozzarella as an appetizer. Wood fired pizza, Chick Parm and Daniel Alfredo pasta, all excellent. The focaccia bread served to the table was fresh out of the oven and just wonderful. Ambiance is traditional Italian with art, music and aroma. Our server was attentive, friendly and warm. Definitely will be on my return list.

I've been here twice and this place doesn't disappoint! Absolutely delicious! The food is authentic Italian. The portion sizes are fairly large so I always take some to go. If you're looking for a good Italian place in the area, that's also reasonably priced, I highly recommend this place!

This is our favorite restaurant in the area and such a nice treat when we go out. The fried calamari is always good. Great ambiance and excellent bar options too.

Back again! Enjoyed another solid Italian meal at Daniel's Apex!
Cocktails, side Caesar salad x 2, fettuccine alfredo, veal francese with shrimp, and tres leche cake seated at the bar.
We missed Darrin behind the bar, which rarely happens. See you soon, friend.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Jul 21, 2023Previous reviewFirst time back since 12/22 as I was away.... Had a blast. Bartender Darrin cultivates a consistently friendly bar atmosphere. He often introduces me to every patron at the bar. As a homesick Jersey Girl, he is truly my favorite kind of matchmaker, "Gina, meet Tim and Nick & Cheryl from NY." Felt like the opening scene from Cheers with everyone yelling "GINA" instead of Norm.
Had the eggplant rolatini app and a few drinks. Sent a few drinks to my new friends. Received some dessert in return - zeppolis covered in powdered sugar with raspberry dipping sauce. Tasty.
Takeout of sausage pizza and, of course, 2 servings of tres leche cake. Please overlook the appearance of the cake as it fell victim to poor placement in the car; however, it looked perfect in the restaurant. It is hands-down, the best tres leche cake I've ever had. And, that's high on my list of favorite desserts
Daniel's Apex is a solid neighborhood Italian joint that's not in my neighborhood. You do the math... worth the trip.Jun 11, 2022Previous reviewCozy, neighborhood Italian restaurant with eat-in bar. Good food and pizza (for NC), friendly waitstaff, Darren is great at the bar, and the tres leche cake is a wonderful dessert!

Oh My Gosh. I have gone here before and it's been good but holy crap the last thing I ordered was incredible. It was the best thing I've eaten in the last 12 months. The mushroom ravioli. I don't even love mushrooms so I don't know why I ordered it but I am glad I did. I went back two times after having it within a week it was so good. I haven't had the best service here each time but this food was so great. They do have a gluten free menu which is really helpful for my fiancé to eat here. They also have really good bread they serve.
Just go there once to try it. Love the ambiance of Daniel's, looks like authentic Italian restaurant. They have an incredible wine list and menu and it's my favorite Italian restaurant.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 345344339Jun 8, 2023
Four of us came here on a week night to celebrate Mother's Day.
We were seated quickly but had to sit at a table that made us feel like we were on a plane runway. People walking past constantly.
Noise level is very high.
We had mussels for an appetizer and they were good.
They brought bread that was good but would have been better with some olive oil and spices
Service was slow, despite so many people going by.
My daughter ordered a salad that never came.
The place had an ok decor, some nice pictures around, otherwise crowded.
Two of us ordered chicken piccata and it was good.
I had a shrimp pasta dish. It was just ok, something was missing...I would not order it again. Disappointed in the butter sauce. I took some home and put lemon on it and some garlic powder and it was better.
Not my favorite Italian place, but other members of the group wanted to come here.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Oct 30, 2023
Got some gluten free pizza here and was pretty happy with the results. It tasted just like a normal pizza, so on that end I would say they did a good job. The size was pretty small though, so definitely order 1 pizza per person if you plan on sharing.
