I'm going to preface this review and say I lean closer to a 3.5 at the moment.

I ordered a wing box with what I thought was devil's garlic but def ended up with one that I would have considered closer to a garlicy soy. I ordered to go so my review is from when I got home.

The food was good although I'm not sold on the particular combination of things. The butter rice is just plain rice with furikake which I guess can somewhat cut the greasey feeling that comes with fried chicken and fries. The chicken was breaded a bit too heavily for my liking. It has a harder crunch than I enjoy and comes away from the chicken.

Mild gripes is that because I was given the bag, I didn't check go see if I was given utensils or napkins. I had not been given either. It didn't quite matter to me in this situation but a bit odd.

I highly recommend getting their chicken tenders or their wings. Very flavorful, and huge juicy pieces. Their tenders were moist, and plump. Good value! 6 pieces was filling to feed one adult and 2 kids. We got them with a side of waffle fries and sweet potato fries. My kids loved it all!

I would skip their curry katsu. The curry is lacking in flavor, and the chicken isn't as moist as their tenders or wings.

The place is more of a to-go environment. But you could sit down and they will bring food and water to you. Very kind and quick service. Hot, and freshly deep fried goodness is best eaten right out of the deep fryer right!

Tender loving Korean fried chicken can be found at DAK Korean Fried Chicken. I learned about this place as it's near where I work out, so imagine the irony of boxing and weight lifting to then finding myself afterwards at a fried chicken joint.

I visited DAK soon after it opened and I was the only patron inside until shortly after others came during the lunch hour. The staff were supppper friendly! When I saw on the menu there that they didn't have an item on the menu that I saw a picture of on Yelp, I showed the staff that image and they said they could happily make that for me. Sweet. It took about 15 minutes for my order to be ready, which they bring to you with a tall pitcher of water.

I ordered the chicken cheese fries, which were gigantic! In fact, when the staff brought my order, the employee brought a to-go box for me, knowing there's no way I could eat this all myself. This item is definitely worth sharing. I barely made a dent in it when it was just me dining in, but it's only because the portion was so large. The food itself was yummy, especially the cut up chicken tenders that they dice up to top these cheesy waffles fries. I also liked that there were jalapenos on the side for some heat; but since I love spicy foods, I could've had more. Waffle fries were perfectly crispy even with the drizzle of cheese on top. Seriously, get this item to share.

I would certainly come back to check out more of the menu, especially since the feature here, the Korean fried chicken, was delicious. In addition to chicken cheese fries, they have chicken tender and chicken wing combinations that come with rice and fries. Or you can order a la carte. Dining space was large enough and street parking can be found outside of this eatery.

ordered delivery and the wings were super crispy by the time they arrived! so glad they weren't soggy and still had a nice crunch to them.

we ordered the garlic wings and the original wings and both were good! just depends on whether you're craving a sweeter sauce or an original non-sweet flavor.

would recommend getting the tater tots with the chili powder. i'm not usually a tater tot person because i worry i wont like the texture but these didn't disappoint!

Pretty good place to stop by for a quick bite! We usually go to the Musashis right next door but decided to try this place instead and we did not regret it. They are still in their soft opening phase so it was pretty empty and service was fast. We ordered the chicken cheese fries and the tender box with soy garlic. The chicken cheese fries was very tasty and good portion size for the price. The fries were crispy and the pickled jalapeños were a nice touch. The tender box was also pretty good but I didn't like the soy garlic flavor that much. Definitely will be coming back to try the other items.

Why is this place closed on a Friday at noon?

Also, this place should not be labeled gluten free. It looks like they fry the Katsu in the same oil as the chicken.

I found out about this restaurant in a recent Seattle Times article that listed some newly opened restaurants in the Puget Sound metro area. As much as I would prefer to provide a positive review to a newly-opened establishment trying to make it in the very tough restaurant business, I need to be honest and objective. And that means I have to say I was NOT impressed.

First impressions mean a lot. When I arrived, at about 12:30 PM on a weekday afternoon, the front door was locked; I knocked and an employee came to let me in. I could understand if this were a "tough" neighborhood with rampant crime in which businesses had bars on the windows, but Redmond is not exactly skid row.

The furnishings and decors are extremely spartan and do not exude warmth, there are just three tables for eat-in customers. The menu seems a little sparse as well . . . basically chicken wings, chicken tenders (really big ones), and Katsu. Side dishes consist of diced up radishes (no thanks), waffle fries, and rice. I would have liked to see some additional authentic Korean side items.

I was curious to try both chicken wings and chicken tenders; it would have been nice if there were a "combo for one person" offering that had, say, one chicken tender and two wings. But, to get a combo, you have to choose the "Mix Combo" of 4 tenders and 8 wings, which is enough to feed 2-3 people. So, that's what I ordered, figuring I'd save the leftovers.

I was not too impressed by my chicken tenders and wings . . . they reminded me of bowling alley food. They seemed overcooked and dense.

I would add that the business could benefit from putting up a website inclusive of their menu; that seems rather basic these days.

Like I said, I really wanted to like this place, but unfortunately it disappointed and I doubt I'll return in the absence of some significant improvements. I do, however, hope that they can make some improvements and succeed.

We decided to order stuff from this place since the Yelp page of it, ant the menu picture I found on Instagram claimed that the restaurant is gluten free. A couple hours later I found my wife on the floor, curled into fetal position and in horrible pain due to - guess what, gluten poisoning.

I don't know who/why decided to advertise the place as gluten free, maybe they thought it was a good marketing - but please take it out immediately, if you don't know what the celiac disease is, celiac people who will fall for it will suffer terribly.

I've been really excited to try this new restaurant today while visiting my husband at work we decided to stop by for lunch. We were happy they were open walked in the two men in the back looked at us rudely so we asked are you guys open? They said yes. We waited and waited no one came out to take our order so we headed out since it didn't seem like they wanted us there in the first place. My husband went back in and asked what time do you guys open since they already said they were open and the guy said 10:30 with no regard to us there waiting to order and leaving. It was 11 so I guess that's how this business operates when open. I can't believe you would work so hard to open a restaurant and treat people wanting to be paying customers so rudely. My advice would be to change your attitude and be more welcoming to people coming in and wanting to try your food. Very disappointing.

I should give this two stars because the service was great. The ambiance, not great, but decent. The food, not so decent. Was actually the worst Korean fried chicken I've tried in my life.
