On this visit our dish price was higher than the menu stated, and when we ask, the server simply acknowledged they changed their pricing but did not offer to match the menu pricing.  Boo!
ALSO NOTE that their billing is off with tip calculation.  They base tip on total including tax.   If you had a banquet, you may be tipping higher than you thought. Beware.

Been here a couple of times and generally satisfied with the dishes.  Looks pricey but it comes in generous portions.  Good for groups but not so for singles or couples who will end up with takeouts.

A cup of rice is pretty big which is nice.

Restroom looks clean and the kitchen view looks fine when I walked past.

Like the fact that they open late.  If you speak Cantonese then the service didn't seem out place.

Chinese food Christmas was going swimmingly until the hostess asked us to leave on account of a small kitchen inferno.

Christmas dinner at one of my dads goto spots is a tradition in my family. Mostly because nothing else is open and because we suck at reservations. But also because its an exceedingly frugal manner in which to feed a dozen hungry folks.

This year things were going absolutely marvelous - excepting the sea bass, which my sister nixed with some lame excuse like "we ordered too much seafood already".

We ordered crab with ginger and scallion, clams with black bean sauce, salt and pepper shrimp, and seafood chin min Hong Kong style. And snow pea leaves. And Peking duck - a rare treat. And whatever greasy vegetables my "I currently identify as a lacto-ovo-pescatarian and Chinese food is too greasy" brother ordered.

Excepting the greens it was a true Christmas miracle, a who's who of my favorite things. I salivated and made small talk for 10 minutes. And then the hostess stopped by our table.

    "I need you to leave"
    "What?"
    "My kitchen is closed"
    "What?"
"There's a fire in the kitchen"

And so the meal ended, before it started, with a surprisingly orderly attempt at a table by table evacuation and a bit of a show as five fire trucks converged on a jam packed Daimo.

I'm still craving the crab :|.

This is our favorite family chinese restaurant we've been eating here for 19+ years. My favorite is the seafood its very fresh. I recommend the salt and pepper sea bass, the salt and pepper shrimp, won ton soup is really good the won tons are big and they serve 5, big portions I usually can't finish them all.  Their barbecue pork is out of this world, really good and my mom and rest of the family like the bbq duck with hot mustard. A hot tip is their open very late and I love the the honeydew tapioca with coconut milk for dessert if you have space for dessert. I really recommend going with family and friends so you can enjoy a sharing a variety of dishes.

Tip. Speak up and flag someone down if you need something they don't mind. Extra bbq sauce, hot mustard, lemon etc.

Went shopping near by and and I decided to stop in for lunch. I am truly glad I did! I ordered the vegetable ramen, and I made sure to make it spicy.
The service was on point, never had to ask for anything. And if I did, no problems. With the lengthy menu, I am sure I will be back to dine and lots to choose from!

Dim sum is served only until 3 pm.
Service- Came here around 8:30 pm. As we entered a waitress just pointed at a table to let us know to sit there. It was not busy, but the service was very slow and "non-existent" as one of the previous yelper said. Very true. You have to grab them yourself every time when they walk by or look at you.

Food - Salt & pepper spare ribs were extremely flavorful (you can see the msg), crispy and tender/juicy.
Pork (char siu) with toss noodles, the meat was very good, I love when I can taste the sweetness from the seasoning (some places it would be red but you can't even taste the sweetness). The meat was also very tender. Make sure you mix the noodles up or else the noodles taste a bit bland.
We ate everything with hot oil, not because it's needed but because we love hot oil and places that has it.

Milk tea Hong Kong style - Served with crushed ice, you can taste 75% of tea and 25% milk and sweetener. I thought it was perfect. And at $2.85, I rather have this then order the milk teas at the boba shop for $4-5.

Menu has a lot of selection and comes with pictures. A bit overwhelming but nice to have options.

    Enjoy!

My family used to come here a lot after our day in the city. But this particular day was probably the last day I'll go here. We stopped here after picking up my grandma from the airport & had dinner here.
The food quality was...2.5-3 out of 5 at the most. The food was bland. & the dishes were dirty, like our physical dishes where we were suppose to eat the food.
I even found a hair in the cup after they brought out the tea...
The service, 3/5 because the staff was busy. Their tables were all full. & I think what bothered me too is that they never asked us for what we wanted to drink & we were halfway through the meal & we finally decided to ask them for glasses of water.
The location is good. The food comes out quickly. & the place is busy. So they're doing something right.

The food and service here is absolutely marvelous, the workers are friendly and will fulfill your appetite! I would love to come back here again whenever I get the chance. Also, this restaurant is great for groups, don't forget to tip them for their great work!

I'm going with the wrong foot on this one and start by saying that service is terribly slow, and pretty much non-existant here.

Now that I got this out of the way, I do want to say that amongst all of the chinese food that I have ever ate, Daimo is on the same level. They make very good dishes here! Any kind of fried rice is solid, and I am an advocate for their honey walnut prawns and the kung pao chicken. I always want to get the chow fun here but everyone that I always eat with never want it as well so I always take the L and miss out. I especially love coming here when its crab season because you can see all the crabs in the tank. I love seeing stuff like that in seafood establishments.

Daimo is held in a high place for me because of the hours. They're open past midnight for christ sake. You know how many sit down, good quality food restaurants are open at midnight? None that i can think of. Daimo is my go-to.

Terrible service, cold food, bad treatment. Very rude and talking about me openly to others. Meat was tough and not good.

Chinese restaurant located in the same plaza as 99 Ranch Market. Big restaurant with plenty of free parking in the plaza lot. It opens really late! The 2 times I've been here was after being out and about with friends in the East Bay. They're reasonably priced and there are so many options. Friendly staff. Definitely hits the spot late night.

Pea spouts and honey walnut shrimps are my to go! And of course with a side of a rice. Their tea is not legit, taste like tea bags with one too many refills. but whatever when you're eating at midnight.

Great for small and big groups, family, friends, anything!

Beware of deceptive pricing. What you see is not what you get. Upon getting the check I noticed the price charged was over 10% higher than what was clearly on the menu. They explained there was a price increase on Jan. 1st but new menu's have not been received. That was almost 3 months ago and there was no indication anywhere the prices had gone up. Upon insisting they charge us what was shown on the menu the best they did was provide a 5% discount. Any guess on how much they were tipped?

Here for a super early dinner with the family on a Saturday:
    - for the inexpensive price, you get a good meal for a good price
    - fresh seafood: had prawns with veggies dish and prawns were super delicious, not over cooked
    - clams cooked in wine was wonderful
    - beef chow fun wasn't salty or oily, thank goodness
    - stewed calamari with eggplant was delicious, again, not salty
    - make a trip to Ranch 99 after you eat, it's in the same shopping center!

Stop by here if you're craving Cantonese style cafe food.

Btw, for moms with little infants, no changing table in the bathroom. Best to change baby in the car if needed.

Had a very simple afternoon snack here, and LOVED it. Won ton soup (big, delicious won ton dumplings in a tasty broth), har gau (flavorful, good size shrimp dumplings), and the seafood-leek dumpling (also yummy and large for a dumpling as well). Prices were very reasonable -- something like $20 for two of us.

And they're open until 3a. Plenty of free parking in their lot.

Bottom line: I'd eat here again in a second. Wish we had one near home (I live out of state...).

this restaurant is good, but the service is horrible, and the food is overpriced. Shrimp fried rice, is like $11.00 or $12.00, it is double the price for their food, but there are so many other Chinese restaurants that 2 times cheaper that are really good with great service.

If I could split my rating it would be 3 stars for food/taste, and 2 stars for price.

I don't usually go to this side of town and it was around 2PM, I was starving, and this was one of the only places open that I was driving by. I walked in and the place was half clean and half skeptical...well, it's an asian restaurant so I didn't really think too much about it. What really caught me off guard were the prices...!!! Um...normal noodle or rice dishes you'd pay around $10-12 for even in San Francisco or majority of places, this place was charging $16-25!!!

This place didn't look super high end so the price definitely confused me...it seemed like there were no decently priced dishes...so I ordered the $16.99 yin yang fried rice. Now the food was okay, the tomato portion had just about no meat which was sad considering the price I just paid for rice and some sauce thrown on top. They definitely went heavy on the sauce as well. Nothing special.

The one thing I liked was how fast the food came out, but then again there were only a few other people there at that time so I am not sure how the service is when they are busy. I wouldn't rush to come back and if I had other options I would probably go somewhere else.

Came here for family dinner during Thanksgiving because my family was too lazy to cook. It was one of the few restaurants opened on Thanksgiving. They were short staffed so service was a bit slow but we didn't mind it too much.

My favorite part of the family style dinner was the salted fried prawns, seasoning was perfect and very delicious. All the other dishes were just..meh. Typical Chinese seafood restaurants to take your family to.

It is located in the same plaza as 99 Ranch and all of the other Asian stores. Spacious parking lot.

Been here too many time since they opened at the first day. Always busy during weekend, the quality is remain the about same ever. Don't need to post any pictures of it. This place is pretty famous place specially Holiday when trip back from Reno or on the way to north. Very good spot to stop by for meals and big party. They open late and beef chow fun is the best call and never go wrong.

The services are friendly and price is reasonable with big portions.

We have only visited this place once, and here's what we ordered: beef tendon claypot, shrimp fried rice, red bean balls and fried pork dumplings.

Firstly, the minute you enter, take a look around and you'll see that all their main dishes come in huge portions. I mean HUGE. We ordered shrimp fried rice, and ate that for another two meals, and we're a family of three (one preschooler for whom we need to pack lunch). Arrived steaming hot with plenty of shrimp, flavorful and overall, I would order it again without hesitation.

Secondly, the beef tendon also arrived in a HUGE claypot. Of course, we also brought that home and another two meals. Salty, tasty and if you like beef tendon, this will either make you really happy, or make you quite sick of it because of the portion. I hadn't had beef tendon in a while and I was quite happy at first, especially since most places give you a couple of tiny pieces with their beef noodles. I loved it until I ate too much of it over the next few days (my bad, my husband doesn't eat it. Our child does though :D)

The dimsum was well received by my partner and child. Typically oily and since the two we ordered were the can't-fails, they didn't fail. My only comment is that the skins were too thick for me to love them, but I love going to yum cha (dim sum brunch) in Hong Kong restaurants where skins are thin with tons of filling. After all, we don't eat the dish for the flour, but for the meat/ red bean/ custard etc.

Overall, not at all a bad place, the quality and portion make it an affordable place because you probably won't finish all your food. I saw a man order a portion of curry rice and he probably ate 1/3 of it at most. Great place to bring family where you can order a larger variety of dishes and feed everyone sufficiently for a single meal on a Sunday.

Thought I'd written a review years ago but apparently not.  Been coming here many years.  Always enjoyed the food here.  No, the interior is not in the best shape possible( they did redo the restrooms), but the fact that the place is never empty should say a lot.  The shrimp wor wonton soup is heaven.  No thin watery broth here.  It's around $20 but it'll feed 2 people until they're both stuffed. Salt and pepper anything is also good.  Sizzling platters, fresh lobster... you name it they have it.  Even the Americanized dishes are good here.  Lots of parking,  easy to find.  My suggestion is give it a shot.  You won't be sorry!
