The pharmacy is always out of something and their contact with customers is horrible. I can't wait to switch back to Walgreens.

The pharmacy staff are totally and consistently unhelpful. I received an alert that the refill of my BP meds would be ready the next day. When I called to confirm that they were ready to pick up, I was told no sorry they were out of stock. Luckily, the store in Davidson was able to refill my prescription.
I consistently get alerts on refills that I have informed the pharmacist by phone and in persuse. Their lackadaisical attitude is a bit scary.
The drive through is a nightmare...important to have during a pandemic but horribly inefficient. The folks at the front register are a nice contrast...helpful and pleasant.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Casey P.Cornelius, NC02Dec 1, 2021

The staff at the pharmacy are unfriendly and don't show any appreciation for customers. Today I picked up medicine and had a manufacturer's coupon so the price needed to be adjusted. The lady walked away and never said anything to me. The pharmacist adjusted and helped me. The attitude in this location is terrible and I would love for the manager to reach out to me.

Since the first of the year when our insurance company designated CVS as the perferred pharmacy, we have been having all of our prescriptions filled here. Generally we have been pleased and most are on autofil.
Something has changed and changed for the worse.
On Tuesday, my Sister-in-Law suffered a massive stroke. My wife was at Myrtle Beach with the grandkids and I met her half way and we got to Novant Main about 10PM. My wife spent the night and next day, stopped by the Novant Pharmacy to see if she could get one or two days worth of Metformin and Januvia because her medications were at home.
Pharmacist at Novant indicated no problem, all she was going to have to do was call CVS in Cornelius and get permission to dispense a limited quantiy of these two medications. CVS refused to honor the request and the reply was that these two medications had no refills left and they would have to contact our physician just to get a renewed prescription.
The pharmacist as Novant took it upon herself to call our primary physcian and he authorized the refill and my wife had the presciption within 30 minutes of the initial inquiry. Hats off to Novant for having pharmacist who have the initiative to be helpful and compassionate in times of need.
My Sister-in-Law passed about 8 hours later.
My wife did call CVS and spoke with one of the Pharmacist who has zero bedside manner and completely blew her off. This is not the type of company I want to deal with in the future.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - C. J.Cornelius, NC033May 23, 2021
We have been CVS customers a long time. I have never had an issue with this one in the past 10 years. If they were out of medication they usually got it in the next day. We have not had any complaints this far!

I visited the Cornelius store yesterday... I wanted to return a "no-touch" thermometer that I had bought last week but I had lost the receipt. I was quite OK with the store credit... But the manager was quite rude
First of all she started uttering things like... It was never bought there... Then she took at least 15 minutes roaming around the store checking stuff..
The person who had sold me the thermometer did recognise me and he also had helped me choose the thermometer earlier.. He was even asking in front of the manager to check why was I returning it back (Basically enuf proof other the scan records that I bought the product from their store itself)... The box was not even opened and was not quite happy with the Google feedback.
Everything would have been OK but the manager was extremely rude... In front of the other customers she was just behaving as of I was cheating or was stealing something from the store.. She even had the audacity to shout in front of everyone, saying this the last time she was taking the product back... Why should a customer take this? It was a valid purchase... Using my CVS membership...There was no need for this kind of treatment... This literally shook me and I have lost all confidence in CVS...The manager needs to learn how to talk to a customer.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Foster S.Cornelius, NC01Mar 11, 2016
I have never written a review for anything - good or bad. That alone should make this review speak volumes.
I am from out of town and have a prescription that I received through the CVS in my hometown. (It is important to know that the prescription I requested was NOT an addictive medication or a medication that could be abused. It is something that I have taken for the past 4 years and my doctor has told me to take it EVERY DAY.)
I made a mistake by leaving my prescription at home while I was on vacation. I went into the CVS store to get enough medication until I got home. I have actually had to do this before a couple years ago when I left my prescription when I was on vacation.
When I explained my situation, the lady obviously didn't care about helping me. Instead, she said that is illegal to do so and that she wouldn't help me out. She treated me as if I was some crazy guy walking off the street. That alone was extremely embarrassing to have that happen to you in the middle of a CVS...
I knew the lady wasn't right because of my previous experience, so I went next door to the Harris Teeter and they figured out a way to help me out right away. All I had to do was pay out of pocket instead of through my insurance. Turns out that it actually is not illegal to help someone like me out...unlike what the pharmacist said to me.
If I were you, I would avoid this pharmacy at all cost. Just go next door to Harris Teeter where the pharmacists are actually friendly and enjoy helping people.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Swetha G.Silver Spring, MD259532412Oct 2, 2010First to Review
This review is primarily for the CVS pharmacy, aka the people who are professional and know how to separate themselves from the pharmaceutical bureaucracy that is currently overtaking America, and they also happen to be human.
Recently my mom got a urinary tract infection. In addition to giving her a shot of rocephin, our doctor also prescribed her on a drug called levaquin. My parents are both over fifty and have their own insurance (not through an Employer) and the deductible is pretty high. Unfortunately for them, that means that the cost of prescriptions is also high and they don't get much of a break. So when I went to CVS to pick up levaquin, we were hit with a near $160 bill! With no choice but to pay this ridiculous amount (for only ten pills might I add!), we swallowed the surprise and shelled out our credit card. That day my mom took one pill and instead of feeling better or the same, she got incredibly worse and threw up several times and had such bad nausea that even drinking water became a challenge. We called our doctor the next day to see if we should continue on levaquin and she said that my mom's chart also showed signs of pneumonia, so she may be better off on a different drug and gave a prescription for a drug called Avelox. Back I went to CVS to get this new drug and was hit with a new bill for $114 (for 7 pills)! I also took with me the levaquin container with the remaining nine pills and asked if there was any way to return it. I said my mom had a very adverse reaction to it, and basically we were paying CVS $160 for my mom to throw up. They said they normally don't take prescriptions back but since she only took one, they would refund us. I was ready for a partial refund but to get all our money back was really cool. Then that night my mom took a tablet of avelox and once again, had another adverse reaction. She threw up a few times in the middle of the night and by the next day her misery was heightened and pain intolerable, we scheduled an appointment with our doctor and shared our concerns. We were then given a new prescription for zithromax (waaaay cheaper by the way!) and off we went to CVS, again. This time, I walked awkwardly to the counter b/c I knew I'd have to ask again on whether or not they'd take the avelox back and I didn't want to, but I also didn't want us to keep something we were not going to use and had paid $114. This time, they said they couldn't give us a full refund but they did do the math and refunded us back for the six pills that were not used, totally reasonable to us. Also the zithromax was much more affordable so all in all the medication bill ended up being a lot less painful to the wallet than what we anticipated.
So the moral of this long story? If you unfortunately have to pay a high price for medication that does not sit well in your system and need to take it back, the people at the CVS pharmacy are good folks and are not out to burn a hole in your wallet (despite the mission of the pharmaceutical industry!). They are professional, friendly, and will work with you. I have gone there so many times this past week and have really appreciated their professional courtesy and ability to deal with the multiple drug returns. So here's a simple thank you to everyone who has helped my family and for taking those drugs back!Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0
