This place is a gem of Chicago! I have enjoyed this local store for all of my exotic pet needs and they always have what I'm looking for. I got my two pet jumping spiders from here and they helped me with purchasing feeder insects and other small enclosure setup items that I've needed along the way. Good selection and good prices, I definitely recommend stopping by to visit this place and see what little creatures are available and say hi to the tortoises too.

We are new lizard owners ( my kid) and we left our little lady with the shop for an extended vacation. They took great care of her and are very knowledgeable
About reptiles

i love this place!! i got my gecko from here a few months ago and i'm so happy with him. we're best friends! and he's a happy boy, and his name is noodle. this place is great and if you have any questions they'll be able to tell you how to care for it and etc. i definitely recommend coming to get your reptiles here, and to see the other cute reptiles once you walk in!

okay these people are the best. i recently bought a bearded dragon from these guys and i couldn't be anymore happy with my beardie and their overall service. you can tell that they really know what they're talking about and that they genuinely love and care for each and every reptile there. they also asked me to see a pic of my set up before selling me a beardie, which i appreciated. they don't just want to sell them to whoever, they want to make sure their reptiles are going into loving homes with the right conditions. they breed their own reptiles nextdoor so they know exactly what kind of species they're giving you. i would say that their prices are perfect and fair. they also handle their reptiles daily, so they're super friendly. they answered every question i had and told me to feel free to call or message them if i have more! i usually never write reviews but their service was so outstanding i absolutely had to. i've looked around at other shops before purchasing my bearded dragon and i'm so happy i chose curious creatures. they really are the best!!

I know nothing about lizards and reptiles. So, when my daughter wanted to get a bearded dragon for her first pet, I was overwhelmed.

The owner of Curious Creatures made certain to help me get all the basics we need to provide a healthy life for our new pet. We purchased everything through them, and even received a discount that made the prices cheaper than going through a big chain or Amazon.

The prices are better, the selection is amazing, and the service is expert-level and friendly. I left feeling significant relief, and my daughter was in heaven.

I picked up my first corn snake and the staff was extremely helpful and friendly in getting me setup to bring my new buddy home. They covered all the bases and made the process super easy. Great animals and a wide variety of accessories

What a great shop. Walked in one day after my children had asked for a bearded dragon for the 3939th time. So knowledgeable, friendly and all the animals appeared well cared for which was my main concern. I didn't want to give a shop money that had animals in poor conditions. Checking out we also a paper with a hatch date and their policy with states even if you didn't buy from them they care about reptiles and to call or email if you need advice. They even have rescue beardies to adopt! I've called a couple times and emailed to make sure our little guy is properly taken care of and they have been helpful and kind.

Amazing resource for all your reptile needs! We were able to get our dream Tree Frogs, everything required to raise them healthily and happily as well as a ton of information on the frogs right here. The staff is so knowledgeable, caring and passionate. They want to make sure people have the right information on how to take care of these creatures properly, and also offer affordable boarding!
Buying crickets here is extremely cost effective as opposed to a pet store as well. I'm so happy I stumbled onto this place.

I don't ever experience the "rude attitude" mentioned in previous reviews. Reptiles all have a lot of intricate and complex care needs, and they want to make sure people are informed correctly. I did not find them rude, but direct and informative. This place rocks.

Ok I absolutely love this place!! Better then other places I've had to hop around just to find things I need. The people are so nice and always greet when walking in. The reptile selection is pretty awesome and they always have dubias when I need them and they look good every time too! I also like that they use a container instead of plastic bags. I've popped those bags by accident before and it's not fun lol. Definitely recommend this place!

When I had to leave town for the weekend, I had very few friends that would take care of a chameleon! As chameleon owners know, they require more than just good lighting. Thankfully, Curious Creatures was available for boarding. For $10 a day, they had an enclosure, water, light, and food for my chameleon. Service was friendly and reassured me that the animal would be well taken care of. I'm so glad I don't have to use a reluctant sister or friend ever now!
