Although I love French food, that's not why I come here. Whenever I'm craving a good hearty salad with amazing ingredients cuisinett bistro and market is one of the first places I think of. I know, not what you would typically think a place like this would specialize in but I grabbed my first salad for lunch in 2019 and the ingredients and freshness were unmatched! Now I come back for their chicken salad almost weekly.
Service is always so fast and efficient. I believe I met the owner once. I think it was a younger woman but I'm not sure? Maybe a manager? She was so sweet, wish I got her name!
Not sure if they still offer the quiche to-go bags but that was also a weekend brunch treat that had me coming back!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Nov 16, 2023
Celebrated a small birthday gathering with a friend, and the atmosphere couldn't have been more delightful, warm, and intimate. I fell in love with the charming decorations and the quaint little market at the entrance. The waitstaff was outstanding, providing exceptional and friendly service. The interior had a perfect balance of tables, creating a cozy yet not overwhelming or noisy environment. It was a sweet and lovely night overall.
The food truly embodied comfort, making this bistro ideal, especially during the colder months when you crave warmth and coziness. We indulged in a hot, healthy, and delicious ratatouille, accompanied by some delightful bread and butter courtesy of our waitress. It was just a quick bite this time, but I'm eager to return in the future and explore more of their enticing menu, especially the desserts! :)Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 1 - 63833841312Jul 9, 2023
I've been meaning to try Cuisinett for years and was finally able to do so on Friday for dinner. They didn't have any seating inside but we were able to sit outside for the four of us. There was a heater above so that helped.
The ground outside is not flat so the tables will wobble. That's why they have those small plastic wedges for you to shove underneath the table legs. Fun fact!
I tried the croque madame despite it being more of a brunch food, but I was curious about this dish. I thought there would be more sauce and/or more cheese but it really just tasted like giant dry-ish toast with some rather salty ham, a fried egg on top, and not much else. The egg was not salted. I guess in the sandwich they went light on the sauce because I couldn't really taste much besides salty ham and dry toast?! I was a bit disappointed by the dish and wouldn't get this again.
However, my sister ordered the truffle burger and she had some extra truffle oil / sauce on the side and that tasted pretty good with my sandwich (definitely not the intended way to eat croque madame but oh well). That truffle oil sauce was extremely tasty and flavorful. It wasn't just oil either - some sort of mixture was in it but I couldn't tell what it was (maybe ground up truffles? Looked like ground meat but don't think it was that). I would have taken home a jar of this sauce if they had it.
The French fries were very good though, probably some of the best French fries I've had in the area. They were basically an upscale gourmet McDonald's fries (I love this kind of style of fries - thin and kinda pale and crispy but not overly so, and perfectly salted).
The side salad was also yummy. I really liked the vinaigrette they used. It was very strong in lemon flavors but not overly sour. The salad also had the mixed greens I like.
The bread pudding was delicious. Very dense but still kind of spongy block and it's definitely on the sweeter side but I liked the consistency and flavor. I would eat this again.
The beignet trio was a bit strange though. I was expecting piping hot rectangular blocks of doughy goodness with some sauces but instead we got COLD round ... powdered doughnuts that were also a bit dry on the inside. The inside filling was good (I got some hazelnut chocolate) but the rest of the beignet was definitely not what I was expecting.
UPDATE: this is actually the French style of beignets and not the New Orleans one that normally comes to mind for me. I will keep that in mind!
Service was friendly and prompt. The server was great about refilling water too!
Overall, I think this restaurant does have great potential despite some of the misses I had. The menu is extensive and I would like to try some other dishes next time!
Also bonus points for having a small shop in the front with some cool imported snacks and sauces as well as having some house made sauces and oils for sale!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Business owner information

Dear Danielle C,
Thank you so much for coming to our restaurant and we are sorry if we missed the point with a few items. We really appreciate it that you spent the time to clearly explain what was wrong.
We will do more quality control on the Croque Madame as it should not be dry. I will talk to my Chef and make sure that we put more sauce.
Regarding the Beignets, you were expecting the New Orleans Style which is not the French Style. I also love the New Orleans Style but the one we have at the restaurant are a style we have in France.
Maybe we should improve our description. We will look into it further.
Thank you again for coming and we look forward to seeing you again.

An associate recommended this place and husband found it on Yelp. So it felt kind of meant to be to try this place out for our date day.
I love the decor and vibe. Very unique place a small market in the first half on the space and a bistro taking up the rest of the space.
It was easy to make reservations on OpenTable, but when we arrived on a Saturday early evening, it wasn't packed. There are about 6 tables, so it's best to make reservations in advance!
Price point for everything seemed affordable. For being a French bistro, I would think they would automatically have French onion soup, but the soup of the day was lentil with tomatoes. That was a hard pass.
One of the menu on the table caught my eye as it included a glass of Pouilly Fume. It also featured a 3 course meal for $44. When trying to order a glass, the server tells me that the menu in particular was for restaurant week. Why advertise a menu that has expired?
Let's just get a glass of Sancerre and call it a day!
Escargot wasn't as flavorful. Olive oil with a pesto type sauce drizzled each snail. Served with toast.
Smoke duck breast salad was my favorite. Refreshing greens in a light vinaigrette really spotlighted the smoked duck breast.
Steak sandwich wasn't impressive. Very dried minced steak.
Mussels with fries. Initial bite had a very strong flavor. It tasted like one of the mussels had gone bad. Way too much lemon squeezed on it made it pungent and sour. I had to send it back. When a new order was brought out, the pungent taste was gone, but it was still way too sour. The fries that accompanied it seems like they were fries from my first order, just thrown in the fryer again. Why I say that? All the fries got stuck together.
Service was friendly.
1st star for the vibe.
2nd for the duck breast salad.
3rd star for friendly service.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 2 - May 7, 2023
Visited for a weekend lunch and it was not very occupied. The restaurant is not big and gives you a homey vibe. The outdoor seating is well covered so you won't be under direct sunlight. Even though it was by the street, it was not noisy. Service was friendly.
All three dishes we order were good but nothing stood out. I enjoyed my quiche but wish it's larger. I'm not a big fan of duck but I can see why people recommend the smoked duck here.
The price is a little high in my opinion (e.g., $23 for quiche with an upgraded side, and I wasn't full in the end).Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 6282462482May 3, 2023
Really authentic and delicious french food! the heat lamps make outdoor seating very enjoyable. Rsvp in advance since indoor seating is very limited.
Mushroom soup with truffle oil was soup of the day and it was marvelous! very mushroomy and umami, one of the best I've had. not creamy at all.
Escargots are perfectly cooked, still soft and amazing chimichurri oil sauce went really well with it. Perfect appetizer to share.
The fries that came with our mussels were so amazing. We're still dreaming of the fries, perfect texture crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. The mussels were cooked well as well, soft and juicy. came with a great pairing of the white wine sauce.
The ratatouille was a perfect vegetable dish that complimented other dishes we had. The parmesan crispy crumbles went perfectly and not too cheesy.
We finished our meal with chocolate lava cake which was ok, warm gooey chocolate with lavender vanilla whipped cream. Cake was a bit dense for us, we will try their beignets or creme brûlée next time.
The service is a bit slow for outdoor seating since they only have 2 waiters but the staff was super nice and friendly.
One of the best authentic french food in the area! will be back to try other dishes.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - 10545912667Feb 4, 2023
We stopped by to celebrate a family member's birthday here and had a great time all around!
This place is effortlessly cozy and classy without being stuffy- my kind of place for a laid back night out! Cuisinett has a small marketplace near the front door where you can buy French groceries and snacks. I don't cook a lot of French food, but if I did would definitely grab some goodies here. The restaurant is on the smaller side with a few tables indoors, but they also have outdoor patio seating which I bet would be great in summer.
Our party tried a bunch of different dishes from escargot, to a French bowl, and a delicious steak sandwich! I loved the steak sandwich as it was cooked perfectly and served with tasty truffle fries.
Service and ambiance were the cherry on top of a great night out! We'll definitely come back here the next time French food is on the mind!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Dec 1, 2022
Super cute dining spot and in the summer months there's a decent amount of indoor and outdoor seating and they open the windows and it feels like you're just in a friends house having a meal. Haven't been when they have the windows closed and things get cozy, but in my list to venture back and b try them out for sure.
They do allow pups out front at least but not much room for larger dogs I would say. And love that the tables are set up so you've got some space and privacy.
The food is very yummy and good portions, great value all around. Very cute date night spot and easy to stroll around a bit after your meal while holding hands or grabbing your dates arm, yay for large sidewalks!Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 3 - Oct 30, 2022
Quick take: Great service and food
Met up with a former colleague to catch up and eat some good food. This is a small French restaurant. Service and food are very good. I would come back again.
Our waiter was fluent in French. Also gave me a special birthday macaron. Thank you for an entertaining evening.Helpful 11Thanks 0Love this 11Oh no 0 - 5138342913Apr 1, 2023
Came here with a friend on a weekend under a reservation. There're several empty table so a reservation wouldn't be necessary. We got a sandwich and a burger (so American), which came in big portions and tasted pretty good. The interior and outdoor seating area are pretty cute too.
